  1. I hope she won't be too affected by this news. I mean symbolically, it is as if her inner personality and her secrets will be revealed, like a violation of privacy. She must have the feeling that anything she talk about needs to be studied or deciphered, and we already know it is a difficult feeling for her to experience.
  2. I don't know if it is her phone, but it has the sticker of Evan and Jack's former band Steel Train.
  3. Happy that her genius is finally acknowledged for its true worth. Hoping she will win this time
  4. Yes, I can testify I remember it. At that time, she released her songs on Youtube, little by little (Video games, Kinda Outta Luck, Blue Jeans, Diet mtn dew, National anthem Off to the races and Born to Die), and it was kinda miraculous each time, just before the album. A glorious era that makes me nostalgic.
  5. or maybe simply because they are too personal. This seems to be an excuse she uses often.
  6. There are so many. Most are fine just the way they are (or almost) : Every man gets his wish, Children of the bad revolution, I talk to Jesus, Summer of Sam, Unidentified Flying Bill, Dragonslayer, Pink Champagne But a well-reworked and well-produced version of Ben would have a chance of becoming my favorite.
  7. This would definitely be the service of the decade. I just imagine her voice over their sweet, jazzy/dreamy sound
  8. Funny ! I kinda predicted it too the other day ! My medium era Okay, it was only 2 images among dozens of others in which she was disguised as a witch, but let me enjoy it !
  9. I heard these sad news in this forum, it devastated me. I used to watch Friends when I was a teenager, and these characters have accompanied me all along. I felt connected to Chandler, his doubts, his fears, his loyalty to his friends and his humor have always made him my favorite character. I recognized myself in him. RIP Matthew Perry
  10. It's funny because I think you meant her song Paris, Texas and I first read that as Paris, Texas the movie, and I was agreeing with you on that.
  11. A sweet and catchy melody. I didn't know Holly MacVe, and I like her voice. It kinda reminds me of Angel Olsen.
  12. Given my nickname and my profile pic, you can imagine what this song means to me.
  13. When she starts yelling, like in Dealer, in the bridge of Living Legend, in the end of Pink Champagne, in Heroin (it's fucking hot hot...), or maybe in certain inflections of her voice in Fingertips (I couldn't handle it, gave myself two seconds to cry, it's a tragedy...). I always saw it as an expression of her despair, her true self. And systematically, immediately after, she calms down, going back to being a serene queen. That's beautiful.
  14. I have been infected too Using chrome on mobile.
  15. Video Games vs Brooklyn Baby
  16. I love Joan Baez so much and I love their friendship. I used to sing donna donna to my daughter to put her to sleep when she was a baby.
  17. Love this album. It's my favorite since "The age of Adz". My favorite songs are Goodbye Evergreen and My red little fox. I love the richness of his sound.
