  8. Some of my drawings are a bit sick, disturbing and monstruous, some are deliberately distorted and with malformed proportions, to accentuate the character's trait, emotion or overall atmosphere. I like to play with the tension between Eros and Thanatos, and, the theme of beauty and the beast or all in one is my obsession. I also deal with anxiety, melancholia, hysteria or other psychical and mental states, which are mostly symbolized by a female creature, like queen, nymph, damsel in distress, goddess, mythical hybrid, wounded vixen. Polarities hunt me, like dichotomies between virginal and slutty, innocent and ripe, sadism and masochism, bestiality and vulnerability, angelic and diabolic, ethereal and carnal, male and female, jin and yang. I explore those dark, ominous, sticky caves of human psychic labyrinths, shadow self or demon within, palpitating on a vicious, sinister, grotesque, acid-soaked harph, or infernal oriental tambour. Some drawings are artsy and minimalistic, some are more elaborated and detailed, like illustrations. ............... [content removed]
  9. I also watched Valley Of The Dolls, although I wasn't so enthralled by the movie itself (but it was illuminating and fun nevertheless, if one can call fun a tragic story of the doomed). The one that more striked me and exalted me was hilarious horror comedy "The Fearless Vampire Killers" by Roman Polanski. Even when he created the creepiest and the most morbid and disturbing pieces like the apartment trilogy (Repulsion, Rosemary's Baby and The Tenant), he injected in them a spark of his specific dark, satiric humor. "Vampire Killers" are not in that rank, but it is definitely worth watching just because of Sharon, who is irresistible candy, so pure and innocent yet so flaringly beautiful, with perfectly chiseled face, deep eyes and demeanour of sophisticated, fragile doe princess. And of course, she has shown in it that she has a potential for depicting a vast variety of characters. Here it can be seen that her role was guided by the man that adored her. She could perfectly emulate mysterious, dreamy and radiant creatures from ancient, sepia-tinted eras. And she was also gorgeous as a redhead, as well as diva in elaborated antiquarian costumes. PS. The book cover looks divine and iconic.

  11. Not sure if this was sarcasm , but I am currently overwhelmed with particular emotions she stirred in me with this visual surprise. Although I love both her sides...all of them.
  12. I know, people usually are not very excited about long elaborations. But I simply had to.
  13. I love this transformation from submissive, needy and masochistic cry baby to revengeful and bloodlust Amazonian that grabs destiny in her own hands and clutches god by the balls. Sooo refreshing in contrast to her usual imagery. I am glad this is not overly produced, ultrapolished, fancy-schmancy grandiose video, because she already had ones, and also that it isn't flippant, sloppy and hermetic jerking off like Ultraviolence (ok, I don't hate that one, I just state that this overshadows Ultra, although it is as much as simple). It is something brand new, crazy hybrid between Tarantino action and Dogme 95/home video/Steve McQueen seventies/Larry Clark/documentary/voyeuristic shaky camera, and you can feel that this kind of filming is deliberate. And it is masterfully delivered, because your site is really narrowed in suspense and you feel the excitement and vehemence of the action. Even slow parts are thrilling. Speed and poetry in one. And there is an excellent use of color (azure blue of vast ocean and bare, luminant crinoline of the sky), and frame from the balcony seems cosmically wide –that is the greatness of the vid also: the contrast between tight, claustrophobic tubes of villa halls with her rush like mercury through them and magnificent freedom of the big blue nature principles. Although Shades of Cool have very strong visual metaphores, such as Lana in 3D illusion, stabbed by a sword, or gun pointing at her, bullets flying, flowers softly exploding, and magical amalgam of gem-like colors, like ruby, royal blue and mystic violet, this is much more cohesive and that Scarface shooting and explosion in the sky is like her initiation into whole new dimension of existence, personal (spiritual) and artistic. Enough experimental and intimate ("indie" formally, so to say) yet enough cohesive, articulate and charged, or should I say, blessed, with (almost) unexpected, brilliantly depicted culmination and message hidden in it. That climax is like her awakening from the nightmare into pure white bliss. Thousand orgasms from me. And yes, she is so cute, funny, vulnerable and human in that scene of her gown being stuck, and the fact that we see her in different emotional states and in physical movement (running, stumbling) is a breezy shift from her gloomy, elusive, mysterious and impenetrable poutiness of a diva. I adore that expression of healthy rage and determination on her face. So complex, soulful and relatable. She creates a powerful space for catharsis.

  15. Waikiki cove? Hmmm, I see Lana peeks a lot in this board. It sounds very familiar... http://lanaboards.com/index.php?/topic/6090-fake-funky-track-lists-for-upcoming-honeymoon-album/page-3 Quoting myself: "Ok, this is my list from months before: Honeymoon, surreal edition Amarcord Amour Giulietta and the Spirits of Tahiti Waikiki Tide Cinnamon Sheikh Lovers and Liars Rainbow Unicorn Diamond Pills Exotica Maharaja's Babe Mirage Summer Harem Harlot Lisergic Acid Mistress Music To Watch Boys To Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood Deluxe Edition: Lava Lust Volcanic Vulva Pearl Pale Concubine Sylvia Plath is Dead Flowers of Saint Francesco Brothel of Fickle Muses Blood Orange Ocean Cherry Knot Nymph Hurricane Licks Mango Phantom Palm Trees on Fire Trouble in Acapulco Wild Strawberries Carnal Coral Crime Queen of Fucking Everything Bonus track: Rape Me (Nirvana Special Extraultradeluxe Cover) New Unreleased: Pacific Moonlight Daydreaming Tempest Valium Baby Fever Third Eye (ok, this is eww) Velvet Temple Pussy Monaco Scarlet Opium Nymph Desert Storm Chameleon Cleopatra Broken Mirror Suicide Ginger Vamp Chiquita Golden Age Dragon Empire Fatamorgana Dancing on Your Grave Purple Champagne Bloodbath Chandelier Tears Heartshaped Pillbox Highway Harlot Neptune Narco Sparkle Dust Queen Magic Potion Assassin Daddy's Dirty Secret Rabbit Moon Crying Black Lilith Knife in the Water Poolside Sunset (Bengal) Tiger in my Bed Borderline Princess Haunted Lillies in my Hair Poison Ivy Ice Queen Obsession Nuclear Love Avalanche Silver Shrine Virgins Push the Needle Cocaine Heat Toxic Foxy Feathers & Pearls Hollywood Babylon In the Woods Suck My Cuts Deranged Siren Chateau Lick My Boots Opalescent Veins Diabolique Glitter Hustler Satelite Lights Sugar Cotton Eclipse The Devil Within Woodoo Bitch Bleeding Poppies (in July) Queen of Hearts Misery Neon Butterflies Summer Snow, Winter Sun Electric Shake Snakes Stroboscopes I ignite Stabbed Heart Mojave Peyote Lake of Thousand Sorrows Atomic Pink Screams and Whispers Sick To The Bones Lavender Eyes Snake Tattoo Silverscreen Mermaids Shantung Silk Underground Lipstick Blues Persephone's Curse Intergalactic Orgasm Indian Summer Torture Garden Orchids In Flames Golden Wounds, Diamond Scars Resurrection Into the Night Soulsister Gunshot Heroin Coconuts Supervixen L.A. I know I might sound delusional, but these are the fruits of my mind. And I gave her a lot more material (since she started to repeat herself thematically and juggles with same old trite tropes). I just realized obsessions are not healthy. She was my last idol and I am finally grown up. Won't listen to her anymore, won't buy any of her future albums. I am soooo stupid. About 500 song and album covers and visual material for nothing. Wasted time. (Thank god I've lost just six months). Just a few likes (Elle is an exception). From now own I devote myself only to my own art. Basta, finito. Adios. Love ya all.
  16. The Killing Moon - Echo And The Bunnymen
  17. I remember a movie called "Bitter Moon" by Roman Polanski, in which a couple deeply swamped in tormented sadomasochistic, tainted love/hate relationship and mutual dependency and possessiveness (he as a dirty old pervert hag and she as a young woman, once innocent and sweet, but now bitter, broken and sunken in vices, yet grown into lustful and lethal sex-bomb) took a trip on a delayed honeymoon by large cruising boat through Mediterranean sea towards India. This boat model reminded me of their voyage. Also, someone mentioned that the honeymoon Lana is singing about, or the whole concept, is actually a goodbye treat, a swan song to the relationship with her buddy, so that could relate to the dark, malignant, disastrous and suicidal movie theme and tone, although Lana coats it in lavender sugar cotton of mystery, covering blood with petals. Also, this picture of young Brigitte Bardot has interesting similarities with the cover for High By The Beach (posture, earring, light wooden boat on her right, sea behind): Just a random thought...

  19. Driving In Cars With Boys How does afterlife looks/feels?
  20. Yeah, it finally grew on me!!! At first I hit rock bottom with disappointment, because I was gorging it separately with stellar expectations, but when listening it together with her other songs from different eras, mixed in mish-mash of every genre of hers, focused on my work today, I just felt how it pours in my cells like divine, heavenly nectar. I don't give a fuck if she repeats herself (bridge), she grew so mature, complex and oceanic deep. That orchestral background, although latent and subtle, is so layered, complex and spacious as cosmos, and her meandering voice is dope. This piece is timeless and she is metamorphosing in jazz goddess. It is so extraterrestrial and exotic and angelic and celestial that I am melting in a pool of honey and ectoplasm. It is boring in irresistable, most intriguing way. I am not afraid about the album anymore. Yeah. Every fucking song of hers seduces me at the end, sooner or later. She's a bloody sorceress.
  21. Her hair is okay, but I think this kind of costume would suit better for royal wedding (much more elegant; glamorous yet refined and sophisticated) : (or maybe not, because she would overshadow the heiress ? ) I like when people play with fashion and make subversive choices, merging unmergeable and acting like chameleons, being eccentric, shocking, provocative and edgy. And I like when people make a statement with the way they dress, personal or artistic, when they express themselves through their clothes, not just through their art, like David Bowie, Grace Jones, Bjork, Madonna, Roisin Murphy, Lady Gaga. (Masquerade is fun, it won't melt your „true“ face away, like a wax.) She isn't true to herself claiming that she wanted to make her life a piece of art, because she doesn't put much creative effort in her appearance, but it is her choice. I do love her luxurious Hollywood gowns or glamorous trash. But the difference between her style then and now simply pokes my eyes. Not my business if she choses plain jane combo, but I am hungry for a pleasant or explosive surprise, not that shepherdess look. But then I remember that not having a statement (or at least pretending that way) is also a statement.
