  2. Fucked My Way Up To The Top??? Ok; nymphomaniac. But I've occasionally had longer periods of chastity in my life, because of my pickyness (unlike Lana). (I wish I was Florida Kilos)
  3. Lana tought me that I can be a feminist and still perversely enjoy her music (that is mosty about subordination and putting love above everything else). I'm much into BDSM (it might sound strange considering the statement above), but only with a partner I enormously trust and share deep intimacy with, although I tried it in reality only with two of my lovers who I found out were acting out their rage and hatred towards women through that sexual praxis, and they suffered from malady of dividing women into madonnas and whores, where the first was sublime, goddess-like muse whom they loved from the distance, and the latter was just a dirty slut for fulfilling their nastiest fantasies. So they are the past now. But that physical and psychical masochism is still persistent in me, and I feed it with Lana's music. She's my lovely vampire, but also blood infusion. I'm like a hectic bussiness woman that is in charge in her professional life, and then comes home to her lover and dungeon to receive a sassy portion of staged whipping, just because I (sometimes) enjoy the pleasure intertwined with pain. Also, I've managed to vent and sublimate my own melancholy and made it cosy and cathartic. And I learned that I have that girlish, tender, romantic, flowerish, nostalgic and soft side, although I listen mostly post-punk and goth (not cheesy one) music. Nico and Diamanda Galas, those voices from the grave, are no longer my only divas. Lana highlightened all facets of my feminine being, and all the archetypes, from nymph, virgin and lolita, to whore, amazon warrior, vamp, femme fatale, venomous seductress, empress, priestess and Hecate-like magician. I became aware of my own chameleon soul and of all its advantages to create my own works of art, which are very versatile, like I have a multiple personality disorder. And although I've read Lolita a long time ago (I also highly recommend Nabokov's Ada), she pushed me into investigating Whitman and Ginsberg and beatnik culture. And I was always into europian elegance, chic, history, culture and tradition (because I'm from Europe), but Lana's Americana learned me about validity of pop-culture and mixing high and low, elitist and populist, so to say. The american dream and devoted ambition is a rush of fresh air for melancholic old world.
  4. Because of all that perpetual tragic-love, doomed-relationships-with-junkyard-brutes, heartbreak-hotel narrative, she shoud name her new sonic baby "Bitter Moon". Too bad the title is already used. Honeymoon sounds like an irony to me.

  6. Me again How and where can I change "Newbie" under my username to short description, or second name, or member title? I managed to edit preferences for location, and I have an option of adding signature, but what about this? Thanx
  7. I don't know if there was already this question, but I'm sad and mad because the videos for Trash Magic, Pin- Up Galore, Disco and Get Drunk disappeared from Youtube into the abyss. They were not as glorious as few official, high-production videos for BTD era, but they had that specific dark charisma and elegiac, morbid charm. Actually, they were irresistible. I'm not sure if Lana was the author of those video collages (I think it was fan-made), except for Maya Deren's „Meshes of the Afternoon“ sticked with Get Drunk (which worked perfectly, as morose, moody suspense). I miss them already because I liked to stare at the visuals while listening to those songs, because they made them more atmospheric and each video dragged me even deeper into the whirlpool magic of the song, and now I have only trite text on white screen (I mean, lyrics are not trite, but the whole conception, cause it kills the mood ). Did anybody downloaded those videos (if that is possible, sorry for my ignorance) and if he/she did, can it be returned, or can I find it elsewhere?
  8. Before I dive into more "deeper" themes like Lana's music and poetry, I'll just add some suggestions on her look, although she already was exotic, tropical beauty in that lagoon dress. Maybe a little bit tacky, but she did it her way, as always, rebelliously and perkily. (And I'm delighted Lana and I are telepathicaly connected , both photoshoping her dress in Marylin style, but I didn't know how to post picture here since now). So, my classic-Hollywood-glamorous-lush-diva-style ideas: (Black one is actually meh, she looks like a matron in it) And, in praise of my nostalgia for ginger Lana, this is my Belle de Jour, or, Belle de la Nuit: (Of course, that horrible metallic brown lipstick kills all sensuality and smothers pearliness of her skin, so I made those blossoms reddish and sexy).
  9. Edit reason : dilemma cleared up.
  10. Let me try this way: https://myspace.com/veroniquevolcanique/mixes/streammix-708056/photo/371818765
  11. URL is web address of the picture, that combo of letters and numbers, often random, in the browser (address bar), long rectangular space above the opened picture. And extension, speaking about pictures, I think it is a format, like jpg, gif, tiff, png. I think so. I do not know exactly, my distorted english maybe makes thinks more vague.
  12. Hm, now I created my new myspace site and uploaded pictures there so that I can post them via link, but it says: you are not allowed to use that image extension on this community. Why? Must I use personal blog?
  13. Hi, I also have this problem. I would also like to add pictures to my post, but I only get the possibility to paste URL of the image, that is, from the internet, and I cannot import pictures from my own computer. But then I found this "New Media" option, opened it in the settings and am not allowed to create new gallery. Why is that so? Thanks

  15. I am currently sooo haunted and intoxicated by gloominess of Last Girl on Earth, maybe one of her saddest songs, with mixture of melancholy, latent surrender but still unvincible longing, like she is standing on the edge of the cliff, behind her devastated desert, in front of her immense dark ocean with hallucinant sparkles of faint hope. And Pin-up Galore, where she is more mature, hazy diva with certain bitterness that pervades aloof and dreamy statement of her being not from this planet. With these two songs I always have the feeling of the end of the world and utter despair, and am spellbound by the maturity of her insights and impressions. And Playing Dangerous is the cure for dark moods of previous songs, I discovered it recently and Im delighted by its naughtiness and euphoria of being madly in love. Also, that mixture of innocence and daringness. I love when she blends little baby doll and dirty, almost sluttish jilt. And I love that display of borderline crazy character
