i was playing snow on the beach & my man did not know lana was on the song but he said that in some parts of the song taylor sounds "exactly like lana" so i told him it probably was lana he heard bc she is on the song. i found it funny how so many lana fans say they cannot hear her at all yet someone who did not even know lana was on the song could recognize her voice in there

maybe something similar to both honeymoon & violet like something dark n jazzy but also soft n whimsical. something you could listen to while sipping lemonade in a sunny garden but also while drinking wine under the stars. get the vibe?

yes exactly. this is why i have always been suspicious of tarot readers who claim to get very specific information about the future from readings. like you can get vague ideas of different possibilities but it is still all up to your own interpretation which can differ greatly based on how much you already know about the subject & i find i never fully understood what my readings were telling me until something happened that made me go "ok that was what my tarot cards were hinting at". i definitely would not believe any "insider information" from people who claim to use tarot cards (or any diviniatory tools really) to get their info. they are just banking on people not understanding how tarot cards work.

as of yet lana has not even made anything i would consider reminiscent of joni mitchell's sound. altho "sexy wild n free dark jazz lynch" actually would be more of a joni mitchell direction & i would be here for that. but i also like her lowkey carole king type stuff she did for her past 2 albums. i am up for anything honestly. lana has never disappointed me so far.

i love the heavy metal tee with the iron maiden font. if i could afford it, i would get it.

i literally said everything she lists including the colours (burgundy, scarlet, maroon) are all shades of red but nothing is pure red & none of the things listed are scarlet or maroon. & when she says "so scarlet it was maroon" she does not seem to be referring to anything in the list but a specific feeling, similar to how she uses red to describe a feeling in the song red. but it is all up to everyone's own interpretations so interpret it however you want (altho assuming it has to be about a woman when she has repeatedly said she is not a member of lgbt is disrespectful even if she truly is just in the closet bc no one deserves to have their sexuality speculated or be outed against their will)

all the things she lists are not scarlet or maroon which i think is kind of the point. plus taylor has said time & time again she is not part of the lgbt, just a supporter. but i understand no one is ever gonna take taylor's word for it & keep speculating even when she tells people to stop. personally i think the way both scarlet & maroon & all the things she lists are kind of shades of red but not perfectly is a hint that its supposed to be like a more grown up look at her relationship with jake gyllenhall like realizing nothing about it was pure red like she thought when ahe was younger. but all songs are open to interpretation & at the end of the day i do not think it matters who each song is anout as long as we connect on a personal level.

i am actually kind of glad lana has been keeping everything about this album to herself. i do love when she shares snippets & other info bc it gives me something to look forward to but i have also noticed whenever she mentions any sounds, aesthetics, or themes she is working towards, people tend to make their own interpretations & get their hopes up when her ideas manifest differently than they expected. it seems to be in everyone's best interests when she keeps her process more secret. but i do hope for an announcement or a single in the next couple months bc how little we know is making me more curious/excited.

i feel like everyone misunderstood her. she never said she was not going to release vinyls for her next album, just that she wished ahe was allowed to release digitally ahead of the vinyls like other artists get to (but there was also the added implication that she is not allowed to release digitally first since vinyls are so important to her first week sales so even that would not happen) but i do wish she was allowed to release digitally first with vinyls later bc it really is not fair that most artists get to do that and she does not especially since this far into her career first week sales should not matter to her label.

i do not think this will make much of a difference, at least for women. men were already allowed to threaten to r*pe & m*rder women with no consequences. but maybe at least women will not get banned anymore for denouncing pedophilia. overall tho i do not think most users will notice a significant difference.

lana's a little old fashioned so i do not think what is common now is of any relevance. lana would probably prefer to wait instead of cashing in on it as soon as possible. it would be much more exciting for us to get a special edition with demos & outtakes further down the line anyway. plus born to die has already had plenty of random vinyl rerelases so lana probably sees no reason to rush another especially since she knows fans have most of the demos already as it is whether she likes it or not.

10 yrs is kind of early to be releasing a big special anniversary edition of an album. i imagine btd probably won't get an anniversary edition til at least the 25th anniversary. i feel like lana will ignore paradise's anniversary next month just like with born to die. blue banisters probably only got acknowledgment bc it is so new still. but i do think lana will announce the first single from ldrx as soon as some of the hype around midnights has died down. hype lasts a little longer with taylor albums than with other artists so it might not be til december. lana's team are probably waiting & letting lana gain some more streams & new fans from this before an announcement. but i do think the single will at least be announced this year even if it comes early next year. but i would like to believe we will have a short wait between the lead single and the album release this time. but lana is unpredictable so who knows. i would not be surprised if she looks at our predictions just to do the opposite lol

the video came out on speak now's anniversary tho which seems very intentional

yes i do not think midnights is a visual album. i think anti-hero, bejeweled, & lavender haze will be the only music videos. if any others get videos, they will come along later but i do not think even close to evwry song is getting one. plus she seems keen on moving onto speak now tv soon. i think she will wait til early next year to release it tho since it will be 13 years since speak now. but i assume once the lavender haze video is out, she will announce speak now tv formally & we will not get anything else from midnights. that is my assumption at least. but taylor definitely has some plan that she has probably perfectly scheduled months ago.

i assume he said solo to make it clear it is not the nikki lane duet album even tho nikki already said we were not getting that anytime soon. but he could have just meant no collabs. or maybe he forgot that lana is not in a band. or maybe he is hinting that she does have a secret band but we are not getting that album til after her next solo one. many possibilities....

does lavender haze sample phil collins' in the air tonight or does it just sound like it does? anyway this album is so good, i cannot beleieve there are people who think it is bad or a downgrade! it is not what i expected but it is good & it does not really sound like any other albums i can think of. i have only listened to thw 3am version a couple times so i can remain used to the standard when my vinyl arrives but i do hope she eventually releases a 3am version on the vinyl. my favourites rn are probably lavender haze, snow on the beach, & mastermind. both anti-hero & karma are probably the catchiest tho, the most classic fun taylor numbers! but i cannot get any of the songs out of my head. i feel like i am always listening the album in my head even when it is not playing. maybe i am just not judgemental enough with artists i like but i instantly love all taylor's albums no matter the genre or themes, so i am not surprised how much i love it. i cannot wait to spend more time with this album & let it become a part of me.
