i am so glad i bought this one right away. imo it is the best alt cover & i would have been so sad not to have gotten it.

violet also had its own era too & lana promoted it way more than she promoted chemtrails or blue banisters. but no one will get me to count paradise without violet (or violet without paradise). plus to me aka always made more sense to count officially than either paradise or violet anyway. they are more like mini side albums.

for me it is less about what i think her label counts & more about what makes sense to me. afterall we know her label does not count violet yet lana does so why does it matter if we count differently than her label when we know she does as well? the beatles' american label did not count the 'a hard days night' soundtrack bc another label released it yet they counted the 'help!' soundtrack bc they did get to release that one yet no one in their right minds excludes one unless they exclude both. labels do not get to decide how i get to think. if this album is nineth & not tenth, i choose to count aka not paradise bc it makes no sense to me to count paradise while excluding violet. is her label gonna come to my house & detain me & lobotomize me for counting "wrong"? no i did not think so

i see it as ldr10 in the way lana counts her albums where she includes paradise & violet but not aka yet i also see it as ldr9 in the sense of actual proper studio albums where aka is counted but not paradise & violet. i feel like both are equally correct.

wait is amazon really cancelling orders of the pink vinyl??? this has been my biggest fear oh no

yes exactly like you go on genius & most of the lyrical interpretations fans submit are like "this is a drug metaphor" or "this is a sex metaphor" & yeah i know sometimes she does use drug/sex metaphors but not as frequently as some fans seem to think. sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

my only possible issue with a pastor's sermon is just that protestantism (especially megachurches) is very pseudo-religious self-interpreted philosophical manifest destiny stuff that tries too hard to be hip & will probably be eye-rolling. but it will probably also be more compelling for secular folks bc it will probably rely less on actual biblical teachings & more on absract self-reflection & personal growth. but it would also make sense why lana would want to include something like that on her record bc it will probably be a lot more universally relatable & spiritual than religious. but i realy think we should wait to hear it before deciding it is some sort of cruel condemnation, not bc "criticizing lana is wrong" or whatever, but bc we genuinely do not know what it will be about & how it will tie into the rest of the record.

i LOVE this concept but i do not think protestants do confession. i think it is a strictly catholic thing. but it could be a sermon about like redemption & jesus loving everyone despite their sins. i feel like it could be a very cathartic moment on the album especially since it does follow the american whore song.

i feel like i overdid it pre-ordering the pink, the green, & the standard black but i cannot stop worrying about amazon canceling my vinyl bc i am not american but now that i got the green as a back up it feels definite that amazon will not cancel my pink & i will have too many variants. already i feel like 2 variants was going overboard. i am debating cancelling my green vinyl but i know if i do something will come up about the pink & i will get neither. if we were closer to the release date maybe i would not be so anxious. i am not sure if this is my ocd acting up or if lana album pre-orders are an overwhelming ordeal for everyone.

i would say yes. i think her best title tracks (in no particular order) are honeymoon, chemtrails over the country club & did you know that there's a tunnel under ocean blvd. they are the most dreamy & abstract imo.

i kind of wish an insider would leak the tracklist but i am also happy that they respect lana enough not to. it is just so much fun speculating what songs could be about or sound like based on the titles alone. do we think she is going to reveal the tracklist at all before the release or keep it a surprise this time?

debating asking my man if we can order one more variant just to be safe then hold onto & sell one of the exclusives later on. i think he might agree to that. then i will not have to worry if amazon randomly decides to cancel mine before release date bc i would have a back up.

they have not charged me yet. my concern is i want it & it is the only alternate i bought & all the alternates are starting to sell out now

is it possible for amazon to cancel non-american order before the album comes out? i am very anxious about this since i have never ordered from american amazon before

i have been so swept up in the album preorders that i forgot to come here & say the song is beautiful but it really is. it is so breathtaking.

i remember when she said she wishes she was allowed to release the album digitally with physicals later like other artists get to do but i do not remember her ever saying she would only release digitally from now on. we may be living in different timelines tho.

i still cannot believe how beautiful the amazon exclusive is. it is so soft & feminine. lana with her pink bow & the pink vinyl... it is just so perfect. very uo honeymoon vibes. i am so glad i was able to snatch that one.

idk for lust for life & blue banisters urban outfitters had the exact same as her store exclusive. then for violet & chemtrails they did have another vinyl colour but it seems like this round there's no other vinyl colours that don't have a different cover too so i think that is unlikely too. plus her store shows all the exclusives we've gotten so far so i really think that is it. but who knows

i imagine urban outfitters will probably have either the white or the pink but i doubt they will have one that is not elsewhere.

ok i got the pink from us amazon & the standard black from her site. if i have more money later on & it is not sold out i may also get the indie green. i cannot allow myself to get every single one tho. already i feel like i got too much. darn lana tempting me like the devil lol.

in my mind if this album is the 9th, it includes aka but not paradise & violet. paradise & violet are a team. you cannot take one without the other. people can tell me i am wrong but luckily idc

with previous releases was her amazon exclusive eventually released on all countries' amazons? also i am wondering if the indie record store in my town will get the indie exclusive but the owner can only order albums within a month of release & i do not really want to wait & take that risk
