i feel like lots of stores probably don't even know the album was pushed back and assumed the physicals were just late. they probably get vinyl shipments in once a week so that's probably why lots of stores are now telling customers the vinyl will be available the 16th or 17th. i feel like lana's team are really making sure they get shipped out last minute this time especially with the date change so no store accidentally sells it early

on the topic of canceling orders, lately i've been thinking i want to cancel my order of the indie store green vinyl from banquet records bc ita now available on sites from my own country for cheaper plus it seems like one of the most widely available variants so i don't fear being unable to get it but idk how to go about it. i hate when stores make you email about cancellation instead of having a cancel button. but maybe its just easier to get it and not worry about the money i could save elsewhere. but also i am already getting the amazon pink vinyl and the standard black vinyl so do i really need 3 variants? tough choices... this would all be easoer if the album was still coming out tomorrow bc it would be too late for me to contemplate these things

i haven't heard anything but the 2 singles but this is my most-anticipated list based on what lana's told us so far and what i've been hearing around here: 1. fingertips 2. grandfather please stand on the shoulders of my father while he's deep sea fishing 3. let the light in 4. taco truck x vb 5. sweet 6. kintsugi 7. paris, texas 8. fishtail 9. the grants 10. candy necklace 11. margaret 12. peppers 13. judah smith interlude 14. jon batiste interlude (i'm only anticipating the judah smith interlude more than the jon batiste interlude bc i'm curious about what it is that he's saying that lana felt it necessary to include on the album)

i'm pretty sure no matter what genre people are submitted under the grammy committee changes them to wherever they think it belongs so i'm not sure if i'd blame ben & ed for this one. they very well maybe submitting her in the alt category but she keeps getting moved to pop which is fairly common with female artists it seems edit: oops @Dominikx4 already said this

we don't even know how many songs lana and jon batiste worked on together. what if a different song they made was going to take candy necklace's place but last minute candy necklace was put there? or what if they worked on different productions for candy necklace and kept switching out which version was gonna be on the album? or what if candy necklace is made up of parts from a few different songs they worked on and last minute was put together? (we know lana did that a lot with early unreleased songs) there's lots of possibilities of what happened regarding candy necklace...

the album photoshoot really speaks to me rn since lana's just hanging out with her boobs out in half the pictures and lately so have i bc i'm breastfeeding 2 babies. very relatable. i love it i hope she really releases the full titty vinyl cover bc that would be the most relatable for me like same lana same!

dude i am literaly agreeing with that point. of you intentionally seek out a store that does not onow they are selling it early it is still wrong, recieving it early or buying it unaware that it was not supposed to be released yet is not wrong. how are you guys pretending to not know the difference?

we all know there is a difference between intentionally ontaining somwthing illegally & something just happening to show up at your door a day early. but play dumb, its ok.

this is the most garbage victim-blamey excuse ever & how much moneybshe has means literally nothing. just admit you have no moral compass & lack any shred of respect instead of trying to pretend you are doing nothing wrong "people get murdered everyday so why try to stop it? just join in!" same argument tbh

i find it very disrespectful to lana that so many fans are hoping the album will leak & are going on about how they deserve to listen to it if it does leak bc they bought 10 thousand copies. the reason to avoid leaks it not about whether or not it affects sales or charts but about respect for lana. if a store sells the album early sure go ahead & buy it & listen to it, you did nothing wrong if you just listen to it & keep it to yourself. but leaking it or actively looking for leaks especially after lana asked fans nicely not to listen to leaks from this album just shows how little respect lana's fans have for her. lana deserves a good album rollout for once where everything goes as planned. & i doubt she had any say in the release date changing so that is no excuse for hoping it leaks either. obviously everyone is going to do what they like anyway but remember self control is good for the soul & it is hypocritical to claim you love lana while treating her like no more than a product to consume whose feelings do not matter.

i never listened to the snippets of fingertips or ocean blvd. which part of ocean blvd was in the snippet? was it the final or a demo? i'm just curious
