tbh whenever lana releases an album, i usually spend less time online in general. leading up to the release its all i think about so i'm online talking about it constantly and wondering what it'll be like but once its out i'm just enjoying it. i don't really care to write big reviews and analyses, it just doesn't matter to me. sometimes i'll have random thoughts i wanna share here and there about the songs or i'll be curious about othwr people's opinions but for the most part, i just wanna enjoy the album on my own. its like i only stream it til my records show up, thwn i listen to my records instead. so i don't think people talking about the album less or streaming it less means we're all over it. its just, what is there to say that hasn't already been said? like we're not gonna force conversation just to prove we still like the album

i know its most likely to just be a standalone single but i would die for her to finally release an unreleased compilation! my delusional side is telling me that'a why so many songs leaked recently including more finished versions of ones we already knew but i know in my heart that thats not the case. but a girl can dream! but if she does release this song and it does well, i hope she's more open to actually following thru with releasing an unreleased compilation in the future.

LDRX - Thoughts & Speculations Thread
wilting daisy replied to shadesofloveduthenandnow's topic in Lana Thoughts
i don't buy into the theory that the final songs on her albums foreshadow the sound of the next one but i do think an album with the fun surfy with beats vibes of peppers and taco truck x vb would be fun. maybe even some mellow surfy songs in the mix too like the instrumentals of quiet waiter blue forever and patent leather do-over. do i personally think that's the sound of the next record? idk its hars to predict with lana. the last song she recorded for the album was margaret so that could be closer to where she is musically, but i also feel like it could just be a one off since she wrote that as a gift to jack & margaret. she seems to really love candy necklace tho which was the last added so i feel like there's a possibility she could be heading in that direction and work more with jon batiste and finally give us her jazz album.- 653 replies

i haven't recieved mine from banquet yet either but i'm not worried yet bc usually when i order records from england it takes 3-4 weeks to get to me and i hate not having tracking bc i like to obsessively check where my package is but i'm trying to be patient since we know banquet did send out a bunch of packages the day of their listening party. but if its not here by the 21st, i'll start to worry.

lana del rey x jim morrison i actually think their music and writing styles would vibe super well, but he's dead so i don't think it's likely to ever happen

How do you sort Lana's unreleased music?
wilting daisy replied to TrashMagiq's topic in Lana Thoughts
back when i still kept unreleased music on my computer, i just had them in one big unreleased collection in alphabetical order bc i'm lazy -
i'd like to think lana's too much of a free-thinker to do that. i feel like she's more likely to over-explain herself on her instagram after releasing the video to make sure people know she's not trying to exploit the poor girl's death and then inevitably get her words twisted and have to continue to explain herself and get upset that people are continuing to misunderstand her. but i can't think of any times she's scrapped an idea specifically bc people might get the wrong idea. of she scraps it, it'll be bc she changed her mind or just wasn't happy with the end result

i hope i'm not overstepping here but i definitely feel like a man (especially straight man) having an issue with the qftc is a red flag. strikes me as one of those performative "feminist" guys who actually hate women but can only take it out on women whose opinions differ from thr appeoved narrative. but i don't know him, so i could be wrong. hopefully he comes around to the album and maybe it'll help him understand where lana is coming from.

i went to customer service on the site then clicked on my order and i eventually got to an option that said "need more help" then clicked "start chatting now" and i kept clicking the answers til they gave me the option to talk to someone then i told them my problem and asked what they can do to help me. tbh i had a hard time finding where to complain but i hope that helps.

after sitting in the post office for 3 days, my amazon vinyl finally arrived! they just left it in a giant pile of snow tho like dude my door is unlocked, put it inside! its so pretty tho and even the discs aren't as dark as the pictures other people posted made it look like. definitely purple but very soft! even my camera can't capture it perfectly. but its nice. i'm so glad i got this variant. i can't wait to play it!

at first i felt the last 3 songs felt awkwardly tacked on at the end despite me loving the songs then i felt maybe the issue is that fishtail should've been placed elsewhere in the tracklist since sonically and thematically it feels out of place where it is but then the more i listened to the album the more i feel like every track is placed exactly where they're supposed to be. its like with both nfr & bb i originally felt like sonically and thematically some of the songs could've been rearranged but i got used to it and can't imagine the songs in any other order. lana clearly arranged the tracklists very intentionally even if we don't understand it right away.
