i'm talking about outside of lanaboards. i'm definitely not referring to the opinions on lanaboards. i'm generally referring to twitter and real life. its mostly hardcore fans who call honeymoon her best and call chemtrails and blue banisters boring. honeymoon is definitely underrated outside of lana's hardcore fandom.

i know there's lots of talk of old lana vs new lana and whwre we're going from dykttatuob so this is my two cents on the matter. sorry if this gets a littlw off topic, but i think it ties in. tbh i don't see a clear line between new and old lana, even lots of fans can't decide whether old lana ended with uv, hm, lfl, or nfr, etc. personally i see less of an old vs new line and more like multiple stages. stage 1 would be aka-btd-uv, stage 2 hm-lfl-nfr, and stage 3 cotcc-bb-dykttatuob, which would mean with the next album we'd be heading into stage 4. i could go into what i think ties each stage togethwr but i don't wanna get too off topic and i'm sure most of you can kind of see the shared themes and mindsets of the album within each stage (but i can go further into it in another thread if anyone is interested). not that these albums are all the same, they are quite different, but they do seem to exist in the same sort of frame of mind or seasons of life. that being said, i feel like dykttatuob closed the stage that began with cotcc and we'll be onto something new with the next record. i'm not sure where we're going from here, but i feel like there once again will be a shift.

i feel like the leaving la stuff is kind of part of her soul searching and wanderlust of the past few albums. and like i don't think it meant she was gonna sell her properties and actually leave for good (i mean she might someday but i think she's probably more likely to just make her main residence elsewhere than to leave for good). its more like she had to get away (both physically and mentally) for some self discovery. especially after she finally got that acclaim and recognition from norman, she was probably left in a state of "where do we go from here?" (again, both physically and mentally) and with family tragedy and heartbreak stacking up and not really facing it, she probably really wanted to figure out who she is and where she belongs in this world. and by the end of this album it feels like she's figured some things out and is ready to be back home and its like she's arrived back at where she was at the beginning of norman but she's older and has a different perspective now.

i feel like taco truck x vb is a lot more enjoyable if you think of it kind of like a venice bitch part 2. like its not meant to improve or replace venice bitch or be a lazy cop-out but like a continuation, a sequel song. idk if that's how she meant it to be but its always how i've seen it. especially with how after all her soul searching and wanderlust of not just this album but her past few albums (i'd say since violet), she's returned to home venice, california (like she mentions in paris, texas) so like our little venice bitch is back.

she just released a great album. what more do you want? as far as i'm concerned that's enough. artists shouldn't have to continue to do a bunch of silly things following an album release to keep our attention. she did her part. either enjoy the album or pick up some new hobbies to occupy yourself with.

huh i missed that part of the interlude.... wait no i didn't bc that's not apart of it. who he is outside of that interlude is completely irrelevant to the album. plus i don't see people throwing fits over the problematic behaviours and opinions of some of the people lana's featured on her albums in the past.

i think i'm gonna get the boob vinyl. idk if i'll open it or not but i know i'll regret it if i don't buy it. i just love it so much. maybe its bc i'm breastfeeding but it gives off such a motherly vibe to me. but then once i get that i'll have 4 variants (standard, amazon, indie, boob) which i know is still less than a lot of other people got but its a lot for me!

so is the judah smith interlude really removed or did the us site make a mistake so the uk store followed suit thinking the us store was right? if its really been removed will it be removed from all future pressings or just on this one for some reason? if its gone from future ones, will the first batch of each variant be rare since thwy include it? will it be removed from streaming services? did he ask for it to be removed or was thwre a reason she chose to remove it or could the label possibly have wanted it removed? did lana and judah have a falling out? did he demand more royalties than she was willing to give? there's so much to ponder.....

i want it so badly but i already got 3 vinyls, 2 already being alt covers, and that's more than i usually get so it feels excessive since i already tell myself every era that its silly of me to get more than 1 variant as it is. plus i know my husband won't be happy if i get another. maybe i could justify getting it if it was another colour but i do think the black vinyl suits it best eithwr way. but it does seem like its a vinyl exclusive too so i'd hate to not get it. this is such a tough choice!
