i'm not surprised fantano gave the album a positive review, he's been giving lana generally positive reviews since honeymoon but i am surprised he rated the album so highly and had so few criticisms of it. he even rated it higher than norman which he kept referring to as her best! disappointing tho that he still won't reassess her early work under a new lense but we can't wxpect him to love all hwr albums (even lots of her fans have albums of hera thwy don't like). but i feel like he secretly likes lana more than he's willing to admit, especially since we've seen in previous videos that he seems to know all the lore around her unreleased tracks which most casual fans don't even know about. but anyway, i'm glad he enjoyed the album and i hope his misogynistic fans are seething lol

i don't think lana's fans are holding her back bc she already doesn't care what we think or what we want from her. the way lots of fans complain about everything she does proves that

tbh i thought she said knife too but i heard it as "with a knife, in the heart of the valley" and i thought the line in peppers where she said "got a knife in my jacket" was supposed to connect to it like lana's just carrying a knife throughout the album or somethin

the more i think about it, taco truck x vb is like venice bitch part 2. she's still our little venice bitch but she's stronger and more confident now

i dont get how people blame lana's current production and musical direction on jack when bb didn't have jack and she still went for mellow wordy songs. and like the fact that fans love outtakes til they get released. obviously some of you just can't enjoy things. and i'm not surprised everyone is starting to turn on this album bc thwy always do. i just didn't expect it to happen so quickly. anyway, i like lana's old aongs and her new songs and it would be boring and inauthentic if she simply made the same music for 13 years. lets just enjoy the process.

whats funny about people using old demos to drag her newer songs is if any of the new songs leaked as old demos, evwrypne would be eating them up crying about how theyre better than anything shes ever released. if fingertips was an old demo the haters would say its her best song ever

its so embarrassing that genius still has "God's a charlatan" in the a&w lyrics and all the locals will think she actually says that also the connotations for some songs like kintsugi and candy necklace are so cringey... sometimes i wonder how people come up with this stuff

i know we're talking about the indie green but this is what i was thinking about the amazon pink purple. the next pressings might actually be baby pink especially since so many people complained and got refunds so this early purpley one might end up being more rare. but i do imagine the indie green will slightly vary with each pressing bc that seems to happen whenever lana's coloured vinyls get repressed (or even when different regions get different pressings)

have they shipped it at least? i ordered from banquet too and it hasn't arrived yet but they shipped it and they posted a tiktok just before thw album came out of them packing up a bunch to ship which was very reassuring for me

my amazon record arrived in my country a couple hours ago! by some miracle please let it be delivered to my house tomorrow (my 30th birthday)

or the people acting like what he's saying is super offensive and uncomfortable... like maybe if you're cheating on your wife or abandoning your family. othwrwise what he's saying isn't bad at all and can still appeal to non-religious folks.

i didn't expect his second single to be so orchestral?? its so pretty. i have a feeling this album is gonna be very lovely. i'm especially excited to hear the songs with lana. its a shame he's not on lana's new album at all, i really enjoy his piano playing.

ocean blvd

frustrated that my standard vinyl from lana's store is taking so long to do anything since it was shipped last thursday but i looked at when i ordered midnights from taylor's store and it was like that for 6 days and the tracking only updated when it arrived at the global shipping centre then was in my country the next day and i got it a few days later so i'm hoping i have it by monday. i feel like my amazon vinyl will arrive around the same time. then i have no idea when my indie vinyl will arrive but i imagine it'll take a few weeks bc packages from england normally travel super slow but i'm not too concerned with that one bc i think i'm just gonna leave it unopened and put it on display, maybe sell later bc i shouldn't have even bought a third variant.

one thing that's fun about taco truck x vb is in lots of lana's early unreleased tracks she would recycle pieces of other songs to craft something new and its like she's still doing that. i honestly wouldn't mind her doing more of that in the future. like every time the song transitions into the venice bitch part i start to cry bc its so sentimental.

cleaning it gently with water and dish soap then drying it gently with paper towels should remove the static. i do that to all new records and it makes all the difference. it'll probably still have surface noise bc most of lana's records are just like that, but static is luckily fixable!

i can't decide which interlude i like better but i love them both. i didn't really expect to like either that much but they're both such a mood. and both feel so short like i'll be all in the moment vibing to them then its like they're done? and sitting on either side of candy necklace really adds to the mood. that section of the album really surprised me

ok the lyrics i guess are similar to her older work but you can't be serious that the jazzy piano is "uninspired". and i'm a big fan of her work with jack and i think he's very talented, but i can also recognize that this song is the jazziest thing she's done yet and that's exciting! i'd love to see her continue to work with jack but also work more with jon batiste.

they apparently messed it up and other than lust for life at the bottom, the rest of the list was backwards.

this is the main reason i didn't get the jacket. i would've had to remove blue banisters, ocean blvd & violet and rearrange them which isn't worth it for the price. there has to be a reason tho why they're not in the right order. i refuse to believe they made a mistake and just chose not to fix it

my amazon vinyl shipped too! finally! but delivery date only changed from april 6th to april 5th... but normally amazon packages arrive early for me so i'm hoping by some miracle it arrives sometime next week
