i just got an email from lana's store saying they canceled my order for the boob vinyl and the lighter and they'll be issuing me a refund. not sure why this happened but i'm gonna ask them and see if they reply. has this happened to anyone else?

i really think that fake insider thought the instrumental from her tiktok that was captioned "its beautiful" was from the song beautiful and thought it'd be an easy way to be right and look like a real insider but it was really from the poem quiet waiter blue forever so they were wrong

yeah actually i would consider all of the songs you listed at least a little bit surf influenced. i'd also add mariners apartment complex, how to disappear, & happiness is a butterfly. afterall, she very specifically said she didn't mean surf like dick dale which ironically is what everyone seems to think she means by surf.

girl i feel like you have way too narrow a definition of surf she just samples/interpolates wipeout! into the song. so yes i guess it was a pre-existing song. in fact, it pre-existed lana's entire existence

a great deal of songs from all her albums have folk influence. at heart, she is a folk writer and a folk singer. but if we're full on calling nfr a folk album, lets do the same with all her other albums

actually all her albums are b-sides albums bc some of the writing and recording overlaps

but evwn dykttatuob has a few songs that were recorded before bb came out, so i guess its also a b-side album since that's apparently enough to make it one

i already said some songs did start to come about during the nfr sessions but all her albums have overlap. idk why i have to keep repeating myself, its like talking to a wall. but most of the album obviously didn't come about til at least after the nfr tour. we might as well just call evwry album a b-side album at this point since she's even said she always starts her next album before the one she's working on is done.

nfr is definitely not a folk record. if nfr is a folk record, then we might as well call all lana's albums folk records

well she definitely didn't write ans record a song with nikki lane before they became friends. she also definitely didn't record a song about going out dancing with joan baez before they became friends. and she probably didn't record her cover of for free with zella & weyes before she started performing it with them. and i find it very unlikely that she wrote and recorded songs that reference her relationship with sean before they dated so we can be certain all these songs weren't recorded during thw nfr sessions. the only songs unaccounted for (unless someone has more info on these ones) are white dress, let me love you like a woman, wild at heart, & dark but just a game. the last 2 we can assume did come out of the nfr sessions and we know she reworked let me love you like a woman by the time nfr was released but idk about white dress. but its clear at least more than half the album couldn't logically be recorded during nfr sessions unless lana has discovered time travel.

most of lana's albums she starts wroting and recording as soon as the previous album is done, sometimes at the same time. there's overlap with all her albums. and yes, wild at heart & dark but just a game are probably some of the earliest songs she had for chemtrails and were probably done at the same time or right after nfr was recorded, but as i already said, all her albums have some overlap, but most songs couldn't have even been fully written til she was on the nfr tour or after anyway.

i already pointed out that most of the songs couldn't have been recorded in the same sessions as nfr bc they're attached to relationships/friendships that she didn't have during the recording of nfr. but even still, i don't find nfr & chemtrails similar at all. i feel like people who say that aren't paying attention to the music at all.

i mean nfr and cotcc sound totally different to me (other than the how to disappear/wild at heart instrumental but the songs themselves are very different so its all good) but you're entitled to your opinion even if you're mostly wrong
