surface noise is one thing (and i don't really notice anyway since i play so many old records in rough shape anyway) but i was commenting on the records skipping which isn't common for most of lana's records even on cheap turntables

that's so silly bc we already knew her pastor spoke on the album before it was released. i feel like they're just looking for something to be publicly angry about otherwise they would've already cancelled their vinyls and been done with her months ago

the picture discs are deluxe too, right? maybe that's why. as i've said i've heard lots of stories about uv deluxe skipping on cheaper turntables.

this is strange. i think you probably have a defective hm vinyl or its very very dirty. none of my lana vinyls, black or coloured, skip. altho i have heard from lots of people that the deluxe uv skips a lot on cheap record players but i wouldn't know if that's true bc i got mine after i got a good record player (but all the lana records i had when i had a cheap record player still played fine including my uo hm)

i think she just doesn't feel comfortable talking about her issues with her mother so publicly like she probably knows we'll all know anyway but it might go over the heads of the more causal listeners. or it could even be a way to minimize drama with her mother. same thing with censoring "cop" in a&w. and this isn't the first time she's censored "mother" either. she also did this in the audio version of bare feet on linoleum on her poetry album. my guess is she wants to get this stuff off her chest but its also so personal it makes her shy.

i'm so annoyed my amazon vinyl hasn't shipped yet. i preordered it as soon as it went up in december. has anyone who ordered from US amazon who doesn't live in the US recieved thwirs or at least had theirs shipped?

how so? if her dancing naked causes her neighbours to be lustful, its not her problem. jesus literally said that if how a woman looks causes you to sin or be lustful, its not her fault and you should pluck your own eyes out if anything lana's simply testing her neighbours' faith and willpower but not doing anything sinful herself

tbh its stressing me out the possibility of a rsd exclusive variant bc it was annoying when chemtrails had one bc it was the best one so i had to get it then sell the other alternate cover vinyl for $2 lmao bc i only like having one alternate and it would've been better if that one came out when the album did so i wouldn't have blught the other alternate in the first place. for ocean blvd i already got 2 alternates and have to choose between them so the last thing i need is another one to come out later that i'll want. lana sure knows how to get my money...

i ordered mine as soon as the preorders dropped and mine hasn't shipped yet. i was worried i was bumped down the priority list bc it was from US amazon and i'm not in the US. i hope i get mine. i get so anxious waiting for it to ship

yeah regardless of vinyl colour, the cover is my favourite. i agree that its very andy warhol. also i feel like lana with hwr head lying on a pillow matches the intimate feeling of the album

its so funny that i was gonna cancel my order for the green vinyl bc i felt like i ordered too many variants but now lots of people are having a hard time finding it and now i'm really grateful mine already shipped bc it feels more special now. the amason one is still my favourite tho but the indie variant is really growing on me.

yeah i just got a copy earlier this week and i found after cleaning it it played fine too. it really is a great thing to complete a lana vinyl collection

maybe its bc i only listened once so far but i have no idea how anyone ranks these songs. they're all so good and different. i can't wait to spend more time digging deeper into the songs.

i'm assuming he's shouting bc its a megachurch so he probably gives his sermons up on a stage in like an auditorium full of people. plus i think he's kinda hamming it up and being dramatic and funny like kinda playing the crowd like you can hear lana and the rest of the audience laughing at times

idk if some batches really do look lime or if it was just the lighting in some of the pics yesterday but i'm so glad at least the batch banquet records has is the creamier minty green bc that's where i ordwred from and it looks beautiful. i wonder if one of those packages is mine!

my standard black vinyl shipped from her store so i should have it in a few weeks lol. but its the first time i've preordered a vinyl from her store where they didn't wait like a month after the release to ship it. so sonce both my indie and standard vinyls are on the way, i'm just waiting on the amazon one to ship (of course the one i'm most excited for is the only one that hasn't shipped)

the closer we get to the album release the more overwhelmed i'm feeling bc its a lot to take in all at once and in a way i feel like i know the album already bc i've read so many spoilers but at the same time i'm still so on the dark about it like i'm trying not to let myself have any preconceived expectations about anything. i also need to focus so hard on the lyrics and instrumentals to notice things everyone's mentioned but i also have to let my first listen be fun and relaxing.

my indie store green vinyl shipped. a few hours after i emailed banquet records asking to cancel it they got back to me saying it already shipped.... so i guess i'm still getting 3 variants. i'll probably leave it unplayed and just put it on display then sell it in the future if the price goes up.
