honestly i feel like most albums should only get one variant like they did back in the day. maybe 2 so there can be a different colour/different cover for fans who like collecting but it is insane that most artists are releasing 5+ variants. it is getting out of hand & i think that will kill the popularity of vinyl which makes me sad bc i was so happy vinyl was having a revival since it is the most sustainable music format imo.

personally rn i feel like the white will be the most rare since it is just from her webstore & not a big retailer. i think the light pink will be the second most rare bc it is already sold out on most anazon sites & the email from lana's store shows that one as sold out yet none of the others are shown that way which makes me think it really will not be restocked. then i would say the dark pink bc it seems like with cotcc, it will be available thru a different retailer in each country instead of just target/hmv like with bb. & i feel like the green might be the most available of the alt variants bc it seems like it is available at even more indie stores than her indie exclusive usually is plus if it is the one urban outfitters gets, it will definitely be a little more abundant. then of course i think the standard will be the easiest to find bc for years after it will probably be the only one sold. but i am not an expert on what retailers get restocks usually, so this is all just my assumptions. summarized assumption (rare to least rare): white light pink dark pink green black

in the song when lana sings about harry nilsson saying "i wish i had a friend like him" that is exactly how i feel when i listen to lana

normally i just get one standard on black vinyl & one alternate cover (&if there is no alt cover, then just a coloured vinyl instead) but i could not help myself this time getting 2 alt covers & i am still debating getting the other 2 as well even tho i already hate myself for buying 3 copies of this album. they are just so pretty this time. why lana whyyy

you guys really call everything you do not agree with woke like what is "woke" about counting violet as an album? if anything we are dissident & freethinkers (btw this part is a joke, nothing about how anyone counts albums is political) anyway can we just drop it? this thought police stuff is getting boring. let us argue about something interesting like what we think lana had for breakfast

i literally said in my post before that it doesn't matter how we count her albums. but if it is nineth, then to me i choose to include aka not paradise or violet since that makes sense to me. idk why everyone is so mad that i will not count paradise without violet. like it does not matter & does not affect any of your lives in any way. we do not all have to agree & that is ok

she literally said multiple times that violet is counted as an album tho & people still argued it was not. people will go on & on saying paradise is an album bc she counts it yet they pretend not to hear her when she says violet is an album. idk why everyone gets so offended whenever some of us do count violet, like just live your life

if lana never said this was her 10th album & if the album cover never said it was her 9th, i would have considered it her 11th honestly. violet is poetry but it is still an album. she is not the first person to release a spoken word poetry album. in many ways it holds more album status than paradise since paradise will always be connected to born to die even if we & lana see it as its own thing yet violet is completely on its own as its own project. but either way both can be debated as "not really an album" & i respect that. & i know lana does not count aka (but both david bowie & elton john did not count their debut albums til many decades later either) but it was a real released full-length studio album so it makes more sense to count than paradise or violet. but ultimately it does not matter. each fan is gonna count her albums the way they want & we will never all agree on a proper line up. for me personally if this is her nineth, i am counting aka but not paradise & violet even tho i know many other fans will not agree. & that is ok. we do not need to agree. whatever helps each of us sleep at night

violet also had its own era too & lana promoted it way more than she promoted chemtrails or blue banisters. but no one will get me to count paradise without violet (or violet without paradise). plus to me aka always made more sense to count officially than either paradise or violet anyway. they are more like mini side albums.
