idk if this is a strange interpretation but i feel like the song could be about the beauty of things past their time/the beauty of decay. beaches are usually associated with summer & warm weather but come winter beaches tend to be empty & desolate yet very beautiful when covered in fresh fluffy new snow. maybe it could be about coming to terms with something being over or getting older. or maybe even about seeing things through a new perspective. it is an interesting title so there is a lot to speculate especially since both lana & taylor are pretty good with metaphors.

imagine if lana & taylor recorded 2 collabs & put one on each of their albums kind of like the first time tom petty & stevie nicks collaborated & they did one for each of their albums... i know it is unlikely but a girl can dream this is a once in a lifetime type collab. it is like if paul mccartney & brian wilson did a song together. the magic of it!

this is strange. i got the lust for life vinyl as soon as it came out & i have never heard this version before. was it only like that in some regions?

if whether or not you can stream it is your basis for whether an album is valid or not then i guess there are a lot of artists that have "no albums" because they do not put them on streaming. in many countries even paradise is not on streaming either. violet is still available in physical formats & does have music so even if she is not singing, it is still a valid album. plus who are we to tell lana she is wrong about what albums of hers count? that is very narcissistic. our personal opinions do not define truth. but this is not the place to have this discussion. we are off topic now. lets stick to discussing ldrx here. we can take this to the violet post release thread if you wish to continue.

this might be an odd choice but i think whitesnake's here i go again would be a good song for lana to cover. personally i feel like the song is a bit overplayed on the radio but whenever i hear it i think how it would actually suit lana very well.

this is probably my only real complaint about lana's music but i sometimes find she swears a little too much in her songs. i still very much like her songs with excessive swearing but it does feel a little bit unnecessary. i am just not a big fan of swearing in general. i am sorry if this makes me sound like a grandma & i dearly hope this opinion does not offend anyone here.

our longest album wait was between lust for life & norman f***ing rockwell! (25 months) but ever since then we have been spoiled. we got violet 11 months after norman, chemtrails 8 months after violet & blue banisters 7 months after chemtrails. i am fine waiting for as long as lana needs before another album. we know she is working on new music which is enough for me. some other artists i like wait 3-4 years between releases so i feel lucky that lana does not make us wait that long ever. i am impatient for news but i know it will come when it comes & it will be worth the wait.

i love exclusive lana records but this is the biggest waste of money ever. i feel secondhand embarrassment for this man. the record & sleeve do not even seem that great quality. they did both lana & the painter dirty with this release. even if the money does go to "charity", most charities are scams & do not even help the people the claim to. i am not surprised lana was not very enthusiastic about this release.

is this the same fan that sean (the cop) had told to leave lana alone? or was that another stalker fan? i am surprised & disappointed lana's managers do not seem to take this seriously. she should bring those big german shepherds around everywhere with her.

lana did not even break onto the scene until 5-6 years into taylor's career & other than "wildest dreams" & "cardigan" taylor has not even taken much inspiration from lana let alone ripped her off. they have both taken inspiration from many of the same musicians throughout their careers like bob dylan, the beatles & fleetwood mac. being inspired by the same old musicians is not ripping each other off. many modern musicians look to the same old ones for inspiration. we can dislike another musician while still being civil. we would not like if someone made the same accusation about lana.

i think it would be great if taylor & lana released a song together. they have a lot of overlapping fanbase these days since they both focus heavily on emotional songwriting & both like exploring different music genres. i am sure the song would be enjoyable for most fans of either of them. plus if it is on taylor's album, lana fans who do not like taylor would never have to listen to it anyway. i am unsure if i believe the rumours but i think it would work if it is true. plus i am sure they would have had a lot of fun putting the song together.

i am confident we will have ldr10 by the end of 2023. the longest we have gone between albums was 25 months between lust for life & norman f***ing rockwell!

i do not mean to derail the topic but if reincarnation is real then the queen will most likely be reincarnated as a baby who has just been or will soon be conceived. but i am no reincarnation expert.

i am not from america. this is not referring to anything america-specific. i was merely referring to how in the western world our rights had improved throughout the 20th century but have started going backwards the past few years. i know things have been bad for women since the beginning of time & in some countries nothing ever got better & we have never had completely equal rights to men anywhere in the world. but things are getting worse & it is eerie how it is happening at the same time a prominent woman in power has passed. i never meant to offend anyone with this statement.

it is interesting how the queen's reign happened to coincide with women's fight for liberation & she died just as women's rights are dying. it feels like an omen from God. bad things are coming for women.

blue banisters was like lana's white album. i think ldr10 will be lana's abbey road. in some ways more conventional than her last few releases, in some ways weirder. orchestral & polished but also loose & abstract.

i do not understand why everyone is so sure of a collab with anyone from migos on ldr10 just because lana mentioned she was interested in making a song with them. in the same breath she mentioned wanting to make a song with bob dylan but no one is convinced that is happening. either would be interesting especially if they ended up on the same album but i do not think either are likely at the moment.

whether or not an album is on streaming services means nothing. in various countries paradise is not on streaming services but most of you count that one. lots of artists have random albums not on streaming services. some artists are not even on streaming services. are none of their albums real?

this is like saying rap albums do not count as real albums because it is not singing. spoken word is just another genre. plenty of older artists have spoken word poetry albums too. i do not see the issue with counting it amongst her other albums even if you do not personally like the genre.

i have this strange feeling we are either getting the first ldr10 single in december or the whole album. i have been feeling strong december energy. i think it is a sign from God. let us hope it is not a mixed signal.
