the song is amazing and the video is fucking perfection; still not keen on her new Diplo-fronted sound but Final Song is excellent
-
just wanted to chip in and say that QoC still has me mutilated, wet, AND pregnant all at the same time; only the voodoo mambo queen
-
Clay > White > Avalanche >>>>> Chimera = Underwater I thought the first 3 were good enough to pass muster, but the last two were trying really hard to push a pretentious and overly-serious facade and that really didn't pique my interest at all
-
guess I'll have to download Spotify ig lol
-
does anyone have a download link for it? I really wanna hear it but I can't afford to buy it
-
very pissed at this (beautiful, iconic, legendary, talented, etc.) fucking rat for not serving us that single I love Sabor A Mi but I've been waiting for that single for EONS
-
this is honestly one of her most beautifully-written songs to date all tea!

Off to the Races, Shades of Cool, Yayo, Music To Watch Boys To, National Anthem, Kill Kill

at this point I literally prefer listening to Guns & Roses over Cruel World or Black Beauty (and those aren't even my personal lowlights for UV lol)

But Born To Die's production is clearly so much more refined than Honeymoon's? God Knows I Tried's production (don't let me be misunderstood.mp3, it's my 4th favorite song on the album lol) for example is so amateur and flat; she literally threw on 500 cascading layers of reverb on the bridge for no apparent reason? The same applies to songs like Music to Watch Boys to (also one of my faves don't get me wrong lmao) and Swan Song. High by the Beach is a whole different story but its production is so dry and demo-ish that it's honestly ... yeah With Born To Die, even though it's glossy and processed to the extremes at times, the production on its own is still incredibly polished and you know there was a lot of time spent on embellishing it. -
Cruel World already hasn't aged that well lol, it used to be so epic but now it's just monotonous

Honeymoon honestly could've been cleaved into two separate bodies; I actually tried it and it worked really well for me and really enabled me to appreciate some of the songs on the record that I wasn't able to before (i.e. 24, The Blackest Day, Swan Song) HONEYMOON 1. Honeymoon 2. Music To Watch Boys To 3. Terrence Loves You 4. Religion 5. God Knows I Tried 6. Burnt Norton (Interlude) 7. 24 8. Salvatore 9. Swan Song 10. Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood THE BLACKEST DAY EP 1. High By The Beach 2. Freak 3. Art Deco 4. The Blackest Day -
in terms of commercialism it's quite a bit different though! Lana Del Ray AKA Lizzy Grant: 1. For K, Part 2 2. Jump 3. Queen of the Gas Station 4. Brite Lites 5. Raise Me Up (Mississippi South) Born To Die: honestly it remains flawless and untainted though I'd definitely swap out DP for OTTR and maybe add Radio as a promo single at some point Paradise: 1. Ride 2. Cola 3. Gods & Monsters 4. Bel Air Ultraviolence: 1. West Coast 2. Florida Kilos 3. Ultraviolence 4. Brooklyn Baby 5. Old Money Honeymoon: 1. High By The Beach 2. Music To Watch Boys To 3. Salvatore 4. Freak 5. Art Deco 6. The Blackest Day

wasn't too keen on the guitar-laden clockwork of her debut but I grew to love Noonia!
