  1. When I first found out about Lana’s unreleased material, I was obsessed with Hollywood’s Dead and TV In Black and White Recently I listened to my staple ‘cute and poppy Lana songs’ which were BBM Baby, Back To The Basics, Prom Song (Gone Wrong), Oooh Baby, Behind Closed Doors and Resistance. I was feeling really nostalgic
  2. The alternate UO album cover for Honeymoon should have been the standard one. It just looks way better and visually has more of a cinematic feel which reflects well with the songs Like take for instance the better text composition, Lana's eyes piercing through your soul and the ‘trust no one’ tattoo being in view which adds to the elusive atmosphere of the record
  3. Her music has got me overwhelmed with so much emotion (in a good way lol). Last year I was obsessed with her cover of Everytime, its absolutely stunning At the moment A House In Nebraska, Strangers, Crush and Head In The Wall have got me like I also fell into a rabbit hole reading up on the Preacher's Daughter storyline, I'm planning to properly listen to the album from start to finish tonight
  4. So good!! Phoebe really does have a way with words It’s like on par with Moon Song’s lyrics such as ‘So I will wait for the next time you want me / Like a dog with a bird at your door’ and ‘When you saw the dead little bird, you started crying / But you know the killer doesn't understand’ When I first heard that I was absolutely floored
  5. I can’t believe that’s actually real……. whoever edited that monstrosity needs to be fired It’s lowkey giving this:
  6. My go to video essay channels (pertaining to tv/film and pop culture) include Shanspeare, Broey Deschanel, Mina Le and Yhara Zayd Trash Theory is also a good one for the history of music, artists, bands, etc.
  7. I know this may seem inconsequential, but the song Sky did with DIIV, Blue Boredom, is available again on Spotify (in my region that is, you guys must have always had it I'm assuming?) and now I'm just happy I don't have to listen to it via local files. These Ferreira crumbs will sustain me for a while....... In heaven you have my face my neck, my waist and a fucking saint
  8. I really like this game concept, it's a great way to discover new music too. I chose Lovesong by beabadoobee 1. Labyrinth - Taylor Swift vs. 2. Bloomed Into Blue - Maya Hawke
  9. I am not emotionally prepared for their upcoming album
  10. A while back I had a dream that Sky released a cover of Tears for Fears’ song Mad World. The single artwork was the same as Miley Cyrus' for Midnight Sky with how she was styled and had the same pose w/microphone, she also wore those chunky black sunglasses she would usually perform live with lol I would kill to hear Sky's own rendition, it’s definitely in her wheelhouse and she would body it so hard
  11. I was inspired by Tori Amos’ album ‘Strange Little Girls’ in which she covered songs traditionally written and recorded by male artists, but re-contextualised them with a female P.O.V. The tracklist itself consists a mix of Lana’s musical inspirations, as well as songs from her modern contemporaries that I thought would be a perfect fit for her style and sound good. I envisioned for the production style to be a crossover between Ultraviolence and NFR, with a hint of Honeymoon. There are plenty of Lana-like Easter eggs present within the song titles and lyrical content Don’t Forget Me by Lana Del Rey Tracklist Perfect Day - Lou Reed Hurt - Nine Inch Nails Bad Religion - Frank Ocean Happiness Is A Warm Gun - The Beatles Bored In The USA - Father John Misty ’97 Bonnie & Clyde - Eminem Life On Mars? - David Bowie Creep - Radiohead Born To Lose - Johnny Cash Lithium - Nirvana Dream Brother - Jeff Buckley Don’t Forget Me - Harry Nilsson
  12. Taste! The mashup between the instrumental from Gary Numan's 'Are Friends Electric?' with the salacious lyrics + the Sugababes' vocals is just
