I remember when the tracklist we announced, people were concerned about Heroin saying she needs to deliver a good song for such a title, hoping that it will not be cringy, comparing it to already existing songs with that title and claiming that it is a bold move to have a title like that and be able to fulfill the expectations. And in the end, Heroin fucking slayed the existence of every living person.

i was tracing back accounts on Twitter that mentioned Lana/rt-ed lana (in the old style of Twitter rt:@lanadelrey) and i managed to found earlist mentions of born to die era songs in the shape of lyrics snippet. I’ve also found some on Lana’s older fb posts

Could Pink Champagne/Madly be produced by Jonathan Wilson? If those compositions/songs were actually recorded in October 2013 then- because around September-October 2013 Nylon Magazine had an interview w Lanz about having a rock song produced by Jonathan Wilson

not that i assumed that these songs were older, because obviously we knew from the start that they were from 2012, but i find it so interesting how all of the 2012 laptop demos (i talk to jesus demo, 80s baby, the devil, connection, sweetheart) don't sound any different from her laptop demos from 2007, 2008, and 2009
