No I discovered him through Lana in 2011 . She tweeted the Wicked Game lyrics.
I fell in love with the song.

I am a huge fan of Chris, too. He's my favorite male singer. But actually, I do prefer to say, Chris Isaak & Silvertone are my favorite band.

By the way: I even attended the Brussels concert last year (the video), and might dance on stage with him and his epic band.

Did you see him at Berlin - Tempodrom in 2010? My first CI&S concert ...

Would love to get a duet: Chris & Lana!

Oh Yes Chris Isaak ! I am such a huge fan.
And you all did know that Lana is a huge fan of him too ? She said in an interview that she listens everytime to Wicked Game.
I can't stop think about the similarities between Wicked Game and Blue Jeans. The water , the song .
Its like Blue Jeans is a modern version of this classic.

Over here in Germany they call Lana 'Chris Isaak's stepdaughter' and that her music would sound like Chris' song 'Wicked Game'. As a Chris Isaak fan I don't think they have much in common as musicians, but it's a matter of opinion, I guess. I love them both ...

"Heads Will Roll" and the album It's Blitz! are the Yeah Yeah Yeahs at their danciest. They change directions for each album, dance being their furthest departure from the normal. Even the next album is supposed to be a lo-fi affair. If you liked HWR then I'd recommend listening to the album it's from--it's very good. Call it a good commercial introduction to them. The spirit, songwriting, style, and vocals are common threads throughout all the releases, so if you like those you're set. "Dragon Queen" and "Zero" are particularly good for dancing

So I was watching the 1996 Romeo + Juliet and came across a scene where Lord Capulet claims "We were all born to die!"

Is it possible that Lana derived 'BTD' from this?

*It's not really a question, just a theory...I'm not sure how many people say this phrase in everyday life so don't kill me if I'm wrong*

I'm waiting now for 2 years for new music and its so fucking frustrating that the album got delayed.
She will release it on 15 April (the day I will see Lana) . I am not ready .

I am also super excited for the debut albums of The Neighbourhood , Azealia Banks and Iggy Azalea.

Well we still have upbeat songs on the final record (Lolita , Lucky Ones , Off To The Races ) . So we have a few demos of Lolita and shes working on that song for Years because the first demo was online before Video Games I think.

I would never call that record depressing and boring. I know that the production is nearly the same but thats just the feeling of the whole album. And since opinions are always different , someone likes the album tracks more and the other one the demos.
I think some demos are too different to compare just like the first demo of Dark Paradise. These are like totally new and different tracks.

And I still feel this trip hop thing. She described the album as "Bruce Springsteen in Miami" and it really fits .
