Sam Fucking Rockwell

It's an amazing song. Really at first I disliked it and didn't give me it a chance but one day I listened to it and it just clicks with me. I love it! I'll listen to it over and over some days lol!

Honestly I feel like-- even just through the snippets I've heard, the HM album lacks substance. It's bored, puts me to sleep.

Music To Watch Boys To, Salvatore and Honeymoon are my top three from the album, they're all so amazing   

I think DLMBM is a great closer for the album, because of the themes of the press, paparazzi, and the critics. I feel like this cover was aimed at them.

This is probably me being a more forgiving fan than I should be, but I want to say a word in defence of DLMBM. I get how it's a very divisive version, but there's something about her delivery of it that continues one of my favourite things about the way she sings particular songs. In a lot of the better live versions of songs like Blue Jeans, she doesn't sound like she's singing or performing a song, she sounds like something has just come to her that moment, and she's struggling to put it into words and to keep to a melody. I can't think of any other singer I've heard who does this, and it's the polar opposite to the review of HM which talks about her being 'too cool', but there are lines in this version which are so raw and jolting, it goes beyond being a song performance (which we can expect from a singer like Adele) to something completely raw and passionate. 

I love Lana and her music no matter what she looks like, but I can't help but miss her BTD era look. She used to look so fresh and youthful, while now she looks kinda... idk, mom-ish? And it seems to get worse with every era/year. I just can't stand her styling lately, it makes me sad.

Out of the four singles we had from the album before we heard audio from UO, Honeymoon was my favourite. Now having heard MQ in-store, Honeymoon is still in my top 5. I don't understand the constant hate for it at all. Her vocals, her harmonies are beautiful. The simple production amplifies it. It's very jazzy and classic, and brings me back to a different time. Especially the last half of the song I think is exceptional.. "dreaming away your life.." It's one of my favourites off the record and I wished more people recognized its beauty.
 
Also - I don't want to set this in stone since I've only heard MQ, but I'm not too fond of Art Deco and I am extremely underwhelmed with Freak compared to the snippet.

i was gonna get both the vinyl + cd box set but then i remembered "dark blue dark blue" and decided to just get the cd boxset

I like certain LDR remixes (there were a few good Video Games and Blue Jeans ones, and a good West Coast one), but I dislike the rest. Especially the shitty Cedric Gervais ones. All of the remixes of her slow songs turn out so badly because they just slap the slow vocals over an EDM beat. -__-

Dark Paradise is actually amazing, I think of it as a sister to Summertime Sadness.

The Honeymoon cover reminds me of a tacky Fourth of July.
 
Terrence Loves You is extremely underwhelming and I find Honeymoon to actually be more interesting.

Lana's lyrics seem to get worse and worse each era tbh

Honestly I'm sick of the Honeymoon era because everything has been a mess and the songs have all disappointed me.
I like the song Honeymoon and HBTB is alright but TLY is such a disappointment I could cry.

Well, for me it's a very ultraviolence-Lana song, it could perfectly fit that album. I like it, yes, no title mentioned in the song neither repetitive chorus, her voice is beautiful but I don't know... I can't fall in love with any of her new song. And she said that honeymoon will be more like BTD but... where? Maybe the other songs are in a different style but I don't think so... we first thought that Ultraviolence use to be her "different-style" album, I guess that we have to change idea: Born to die is her different-style album. I think we can say this from what we have in this moment

Like others have said - not feeling the cover at all. It's weird. The writing on the car distracts from everything else in the picture. It's just not a good shot. I've loved pretty much all of her artwork up until now, but I can't get behind this.
 
I am excited about the tracklist, though. The music is the most important part after all and 14 tracks is great. I just hope they don't all have that super slow Honeymoon/TLY-sound. I really liked Honeymoon, but I'm having a hard time getting into TLY. I'm not sure if I like it. I don't really mind slow songs, but there's just nothing to hold on to in TLY.

I don't really think Honeymoon / WFL / BE / ICF / any of her slow songs are boring. I don't know if it's because I spent most of my teens listening to the slowest saddest folksy guitar music, but I'm just never bored by her slow songs. I also love her upbeat fun pop songs, don't worry.
 
I love the HBTB cover and I don't see a problem with the font.
