As yesterday was her sophomore album's 8th anniversary, today is one of my biggest favorite artists Emma Louise's birthday! She is my top 3 favorite artists of all time, only behind LDR and Marina Diamandis. Her music means the world to me, been stanning her since 2016 and thanks to her I found my way to rediscover Lana and I think if I hadn't listened to Emma at first place, I think I have wouldn't found my way to Lana and neither here, this website. In my opinion, she writes the best lyrically vulnerable tracks, she has this magic to make the listener so emotional. I can't wait to listen to her beautiful voice on her 4th album which I've been waiting for album 6 years! Here are in my opinion her best songs from each of her albums. I consider Vs Head Vs Heart her best album and When It Comes To You her best song! HAPPIEST OF BIRTHDAYS, DEAREST EMMA LOUISE, I LOVE YOU!!!

I remember reading years ago that Sia wrote Space Between with Lana in mind or something but I also read that it was actually meant for Rihanna. I don't know if it's true though, it could've been a rumour or something. Interesting is that Sia wrote that song with Chris Braide who also worked on Million Dollar Man and many Lana's unreleased.

Luckily for you, Lolita and Lucky Ones don't belong to the standard version of the album but deluxe!

I'm proud of them both, well done! Lana had quite successful chart performances these last 2 years than in the 2010s! Great work!

On July 15th - Supercry by Emma Louise - in my opinion top 5 best indie albums of 2016 - became 8 years old. This album changed my life, I have loved it ever since and with years I can only relate more and more to this album. A perfect little indie blend of pop, rock, electronic/synth and folk. For me it's mostly a rock album but it's really not standard rock. This is her Melodrama but this album is a year older than Melodrama. This is Emma's most vulnerable and raw work, I used to consider it as her Ultraviolence. One of my favorite sophomore albums ever and one of the best albums of 2016, even in my top 10 favorite albums of all time! This era is also special because it was the first era of hers I witnessed, after I stanned her in April 2016! Also I think that I Thought I Was A Ship is one of the best ending tracks ever and even my favorite one of all times. The album still sounds fresh and timeless, like it was released yesterday! Also the album artwork is beautiful, painted by Emma herself!

Like I said, I don't want any of her songs to be reworked BUT I'd like to see an orchestral version, like Dan Heath's version (like he did for Young & Beautiful and West Coast) of Ocean Blvd title track. Although I love the song as it is, especially lyrically. I think it's epic but I also think that the song would've had great opportunity for an orchestral alt version with more oomph to sound more huge and powerful, like a cinematic score. I remember like last year I think, I heard an edit or mashup of this song with a symphonic track on Instagram (I don't remember which video though) and I thought I had a fever dream because this song sounded so different, like even more powerful, like Dan Heath level and I had to listen to the original because I thought that I had become crazy thinking the song was like that mashup lol. But it sounded so beautiful! Nonetheless, original is amazing as it is!

It's more sad than crazy. I feel sad for anyone involved there - the people who were killed and injured, even Trump and I don't like him or his actions at all. I mean, just imagine if you were in the same situation as the injured, it must hurt very bad, it's not good at all. What's even miserable is that the shooter was only 20, he had a whole life ahead but he chose to kill people - it's just so sad to see a downfall of a young person. It's just pitiful and wretched what the USA - which was known as the promised land for many - has become. It is not the land I dreamed about as a child :-(
