  1. She was so active and excited about that album. She even wanted to release her favorite outtakes from it. She must've been so proud of the album then then later she made more albums to be proud of like NFR and Ocean Blvd (I remember she said she was proud of NFR and later OB or something)
  2. I still think why did she make that typo Lost For Life, was it on purpose?
  3. I love that line "all seems stranger than a stranger" so much I don't know why people hate that so much? It has a cool wordplay in it that mean that "all seems more strange than a strange person" which suits the song very nice in the themes of "screwing anonymity". Are people having difficulties understanding this line or why do they hate this so much!?
  4. The fact I'm still obsessed with this album after all of these years I think that loving Honeymoon and Lust For Life right from the start is something that I can flex with...
  5. He was a legend, he loved Amy and Gaga too 💔
  6. I did see a fan commenting under a Lanaboards post about that in Insta saying that she's filming a MV there but I think it's just their speculation...

Sorry but this post gave me a mini heart attack thinking that she posted something new 😭
  8. Cohesion is overrated, idk why people need cohesive albums. Imo when albums are too covesive it can get really boring and monotonous. I need so diversity so the album has show itself from different angles. I also don't when an album has only 11-13 tracks without a deluxe. It's more empty and may look like an EP. I think it's more perfect when an album has 14-16 tracks because then the album has showed itself in every way possible and then there is no room left more, if u understand what I mean. So my unpop opinion is that none of Lana's albums are 100% cohesive and there is always some nice and enjoyable diversity in sounds and it's what I love a lot about her albums. Also I love that Lana keeps making 14-16 track long albums and she should keep doing this. I never really consider BTD with 12 tracks and UV 11 tracks, I always consider them full with the deluxe tracks, as BTD w 15 tracks and UV with 16 tracks. That's why i love her long albums. Okay i may have worded this shit too but i am in hurry so yeah, u got my point
  9. Rhymes in music are so unnecesssary imo, they feel forced and make songs predictable. And remind me of elemantary school poems. Rhymes fit in rap songs better to help w the flow. Also I never really considered Marina Diamandis and Lorde alternative or indie pop (I love them btw this is not a hate post). Only maybe The Family Jewels from Marina's and of course Solar Power is like the only album from Lorde I'd consider alternative/indie. Pure Heroine is electronic music w hip hop influence and Melodrama is just pop/electropop and there's nothing wrong with it, it's one of my top favorites. I'd consider Marina and Lorde more electronic pop or dark pop but there seems to be a consensus in the music world that dark pop = alternative/indie but actually dark pop ≠ alt/indie music. Also I love love Lorde and her lyrics but I don't really find her lyrics (from Pure Heroine/Melodrama era) revolutionary they're just great lyrics from a teen's pov, but not revolutionary. Many people like considered her lyrics revolutionary. I think we should drop the idea that young people can't write lyrics - they can write great lyrics, they were just overshadowed by the "crappier" ones the media pushed to people, so they could hate those and start "worrying" about younger generation. Idk if I really worded it great but idc since I wrote it really fast. Also can mods pin this thread in the music topic, I had to dig the whole forum up to find this thread. (Also can the mods pin the Unpopular World Opinions thread too).
  10. Her old thumbnails in YouTube from 2013, when you searched her: Also, when you searched Lana Del Rey in YouTube in 2015, this is how it looked like: Those big old neon VEVO logos were so ugly thank god they changed it, like around in 2016?
  11. I love her for this. Her randomness is the best. She looks beautiful there as always, she's always glowing and radiant when she's travelling! This is why I love her out of all the Hollywood celebrities - she's down to earth, she's not a diva. She's having fun doing other things too besides her main career. She's adventurous, daring and willing to learn new cool stuff. It was also a nice moment for White Dress/May Jailer-Lizzy waitress era throwback. She's just so fucking awesome for this and every day i just love her more. This is THE Lana Del Rey. A national treasure.
  12. Why people dislike LFL album? Or not consider it one of the best? I actually need reasons, I'd like to have answers for my analysis of this album I'll perhaps post here one day Also what a perfect day for leakers to leak Silverlake, Everything I Do, LA Who Am I, Gucci, Poetry In Motion, Something Real, Malibu, Sugary Sweet, Say Yes To Heaven and Fina China (LFL versions), Roses Bloom For You and all the demos and outtakes and mixes and alt versions and photos from LFL era. Why keep it, sharing is caring
  13. Those people who get Lust For Life get it and who don't, they just don't
  14. HAPPY FUCKING SIXTH BIRTHDAY MY DEAR BABY LUST FOR LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I adore Lust For Life so much. It's my favorite album with Honeymoon, not only just Lana's but it's also my all-time favorite with Honeymoon. They're like sisters to me. This is also the album, I have studied and analysed a lot, for almost three years. My unpopular opinion about the album is that FOR ME the album is perfect as it is, just perfect as fuck. The tracklist is perfect, the songs are perfect, the production is perfect, the melodies are perfect, the lyrics are perfect, the features are perfect, the visuals are perfect, the album cover art is perfect, the music videos are perfect, the tour was perfect, the era was perfect, everything about it was perfect. I WOULDN'T change a thing about it, it was meant to be AS IT IS. People will understand that in the future. It's not cringe, not childish, not cheesy or not lighthearted. Everything about it was just so brilliant and genius about it. The album came out when I needed it the most. This album means a lot to me, it's so special for me since it came out on a very difficult, vulnerable and overwhelming period of my life. The way how I became a stan just a day before Love came out was already a sign that the album was meant for me. But who would've known which difficult obstacles I had to face before the album was released. This album taught me about all the dangers in the world, which I could face as a vulnerable woman. But it also helped me to dream or be hopeful, which was definitely needed in those dark times. Lust For Life is a perfect album. It's a very incredible album. A timeless masterpiece. It perfectly describes the circle of life. Or more like, for me, the album is about circle of life in a shape of her career. It tells a story of her career filled with her emotions & feelings and what have come with that, her hopes & dreams and also stories, talking about things she believed, she hoped and she learned - all of that were stitched in the melodies and lyrics together. It was also a brilliant transition from the Lana who was in Born To Die, Paradise, Ultraviolence and Honeymoon to the Lana who was in NFR, COTCC, Blue Banisters and Ocean Blvd. As I have already talked about it in this post - Lust For Life had the perfect mixture of everything - of her emotions and feelings, her hopes and dreams, her mindset and visions. The beautiful spacey witchy aesthetics with melodies and lyrics of it combining with the sixties hippie aesthetics (with a baddie flair) also with melodies and lyrics of it created together a retro-futuristic vision which was seen and heard throughout the album, a whole new universe trying to compare people's love, lust, actions and life in the past century with the modern world and how it has changed and how it affects her. She used a lot of different sounds, experimenting them together because she wanted to merge her old sound to new sound, to create a timeless retro-futuristic alternative sound. It's more of a new coming of folktronica. Lust For Life album had a lot of amazing poetic lyrics and brilliant detailed production which is still quite overlooked. This album has also many highlights of her career! She collaborated with people who mean a lot to her and are her idols to describe her world inside her (the first half of the album with the collaborations) and the world outside her (the second half of the album with the collaborations). I really love the so-called political songs too but I don't really consider them political because, for me, she used politics, war and the tensional time as a metaphor to describe her relationship with her career (Coachella), her fans (When The World...) and close people around her (God Bless America). I talked more about the "world inside her" and "world outside her" here too, in this theory! 6th year with Lust For Life album. It's the 6th Anniversary! Can you believe it!? Time flies like crazy! I'll never stop talking beautiful things about Lust For Life album or I'll never stop defending it. Forever. The album means a great deal to me. In today's world, it's more relevant than ever. My comfort album. The perfect transition from the old Lana to the new Lana. My favorite album with Honeymoon, I adore it forever. Lust For Life is my lust for life. Sorry of the long essay, I understand if you don't want to read it. I hope every one of you has a great day celebrating Lust For Life's 6th Birthday! Happy Lust For Life Day!
  15. I've had atleast 10 dreams where she has been pregnant and atleast 10 dreams where she has well...I don't wanna even say it...d-worded. And after I had a dream like this I always had woken up and crying (while in dreams I'm more shocked and not crying). I also had a dream where she collabed w Courteney Love and the title was long as fuck I remember only one word and it was Society. The song was so trippy and triphoppy, like Art Deco but reversed. And the MV was so modern, it was like in a Dubai-like place, by the beach, very clear blue sea and white modern building and yellow-orange flowers and dresses. I've had that dream atleast twice, one with Courteney and one with just her, in my country. I also remembered that I flew to NYC to Jack Antonoff's studio and he was sitting in the studio by piano with Lana and they had difficulties to come up w melodies and when he saw me, he was like "omg I have seen your songs I want to work with you" and he started playing a weird melody which sounded so uninspired and basic, like a ringtone music ans he started offering it to me and I was like "eeehee not really, no ty" Lana only watched us and was quiet, I think she was watching her phone instead. I kinda can't remember it since I had this dream like 3 yrs ago.
  16. When people say that Lana is indie, I don't think that they mean she's under an independent label but I think they mean that her music is indie pop/indie rock
  17. Look at her now - she's one of the most streamed musicians of all time! Born To Die is still thriving! She's currently in the top 2 most streamed female artist. Many of her songs are viral too. If someone told these users from the first page (I know this song wasn't leaked then but they've probably heard it) that Say Yes To Heaven is going to be released in 2023 then they probably wouldn't have believed it. So happy for her success, so so proud of Lana! <3 Us in every pre-pre release thread
  18. Holy shit i love your top 4! I have almost same one too!
