I can definitely say Paris smells less of pee than NYC (As a tourist who has visited both cities multiple times) I guess she just really doesn't want to be recognised in Paris esp after her last visit She looks really beautiful and the hair colour with that red and the dark demin is so pleasing

What I'd love for Lasso (just musically): Lots of strings that have a slightly creepy, very atmospheric effect (like the beginning of live Body Electric) Experimental instrumentals with country-blues-rock sounds (think The Greatest or VB, but a different genre) Murky, swampy vibes that makes you imagine sitting by a bayou and cleaning a gun after you've just got revenge on your ex-lover (Oddly specific I know ) A spoken word intro/outro for a song like High by the Beach I'm really not worried about the lyrics because as long as Lana is the songwriter I trust her. She is the greatest songwriter of this century, so you know, no worries there Even the albums which have much weaker, more repetitive lyrics like UV — don't attack me because it's still one of my top albums — are nevertheless fantastic

I was just looking at that list of Southern Gothic art again, and it named A Streetcar Named Desire, which as we all know Lana quoted in Ride — and she has called Ride a country song before. Ride is definitely a career highlight so I'm personally really excited When I think country and Southern Gothic, I think of her earlier pre-fame AKA days and then the Paradise-Tropico era (not musically, but in terms of lyrics and influence), not her more recent work. It's clearly a theme that's she's been passionate about/inspired by throughout her time thus far as an artist, so I can't wait to hear what she comes up with

Oh you are SO lucky

I probably would have forked out the money for it if it wasn't for the fact that it's my partners birthday and he's not a Lana fan so would have absolutely NOT been up for it I actually stupidly had some hope she would announce some small solo show like she did at L'Olympia in Paris last year. It would be much more worth the money compared to festivals for us Lana fans who aren't really interested in anyone else (Although I LOVED seeing FJM at Hyde Park). But no such luck I hope you can get your hands on some great things at the popup!!
