  1. As much as we are really excited for you on the chance it happens, I think mostly we all just want you and everyone else attending to have an amazing night!
  2. Okay I've just seen the topics have merged and my last comment about picking one line per song no sense now So here's my current faves from each song (god this took me forever): NFR: God damn, man-child / You fucked me so good that I almost said "I love you" Honourable mention: Self-loathing poet, resident Laurel Canyon know-it-all MAC: Catch a wave and take in the sweetness / Think about it, the darkness, the deepness / All the things that make me who I am Honourable mention: You're lost at sea, then I'll command your boat to me again VB: Paint me happy in blue / Norman Rockwell / No hype under our covers / It's just me and you Honourable mention: On the stoop with the neighborhood kids / Callin' out, bang bang, kiss kiss Fuck it I love you: Wish that you would hold me or just say that you were mine / It's killing me slowly Honourable mention: Jazz in my veins / Running out of time Love song: Is it safe, is it safe to just be who we are? Honourable mention: I believe in a place you take me / Make you real proud of your baby / In your car, I'm a star and I'm burnin’ through you Cinnamon girl: There's things I wanna say to you / But I'll just let you live Honourable mention: Kerosene in my hands / You make me mad, on fire again How to disappear: But I love that man like nobody can / He moves mountains and pounds them to ground again Honourable mention: All of it honestly ... it tells such a good story, one of the best storytelling moments of her lyricism California: I've heard the war was over if you really choose TNBAR: It's you‚ all the roads lead to you / Everything I want and do, all the things that I say Honourable mention: My baby used to dance underneath my architecture / To the Houses of the Holy, smokin' on them cigarettes The greatest: I'm wasted / Don't leave, I just need a wake-up call / I'm facing the greatest / The greatest loss of them all / The culture is lit and I had a ball / I guess that I'm burned out after all Honourable mention: The entire last verse ... peak storytelling, peak song, perfect in every way Bartender: The poetry inside of me is warm like a gun Honourable mention: And our love's sweet enough on the vine — tbh I know everyone hates this one live but it's another great storytelling song from NFR! HIAB: Happiness is a butterfly / Try to catch it, like, every night / It escapes from my hands into moonlight Honourable mention: Sitting in your sweatshirt, crying in the backseat, ooh / I just wanna dance with you HIADTFAWLMTH: All of it! Spilling my guts with the Bowery Bums / Is the only love I've ever known (UNDERRATED LINE) Honourable mentions: They write that I'm happy, they know that I'm not / But at best, you can see I'm not sad Hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have / But I have it
  3. Great topic! I think "Like if you hold me without hurting me / You'll be the first who ever did" is probably the most famous, but it's not my favourite (although it's up there) NFR! is full of some of her most QUOTABLE lyrics. I mean boom — right out of the gate she starts with "God damn man child / You fucked me so good I almost said "I love you"" It's not only a great first line but probably the best first line at encapsulating the lyrical style the rest of the album follows. I think the whole of NFR! is full of iconic lyrics and I honestly can't pick any .. maybe I could pick one (or two) from each song on the tracklist
  4. IT'S A CRAVING NOT A CRUSH (but seriously I have a huge crush) ... the way she plays with her hair and smiles in the MV with blushed cheeks ... GORGEOUS, STUNNING, BEAUTIFUL
  5. I just want to pop in to say that The Triad is an online AA group from L.A., and given all the other references to AA throughout the song (which @misselectrarockwell covered!) I think that's likely what she means. Although I think it's probably meant to be a clever lyric which references both the father, son, and holy spirit and the AA group ... very Lana
  6. Omg omg please share that in the PJ Harvey thread! She's my fellow south west U.K. Queen, I love her! I really hope your interview with Lana goes ahead, that is such a once in a lifetime thing! You have such a cool job!
  7. Watching your Instagram stories actually made me emotional I 100% agree with everything you've said — and she sounds better than I remember for years!
  8. After Primavera Sound Porto, I think! I'm so excited for you @Sportscruiser
  9. I was too late to catch any livestreams but wow — without you sounds absolutely beautiful today. Her voice is shining. She sounds stunning. As for the setlist/outfit, most people attending her concerts aren't super fans watching every single show, so it really won't seem very repetitive. And in my experience, when you're there it doesn't matter anyway whether you've heard it all before, because the high is just too good
  10. This is really poor form of Reddit (I think it's about Lana)
  11. I suddenly can't like posts either (Google Chrome, laptop). I followed the same instructions that fixed it last time (as Elle wrote in the OP), but it didn't fix the issue this time
  12. I am SO thankful someone uploaded the stream to YouTube! She sounds and looks stunning. And the crowd was SOOOO good! The guy absolutely sobbing during Tunnel is so relatable (also me during COTCC and The Grants honestly) ... and also the guy with a flowercrown and daisies in his beard is an icon
  13. Can somebody please record this twitch livestream? It will be way too late here but I'd love to see if tomorrow!
  14. Also one of my favourite music videos
  15. Quite funny reading people's thoughts about this when it come out ... To this day this is STILL one of Lana's top songs, I love it. Masterpiece. Happy birthday Shades of Cool — you will always be the coolest in the room, no doubt about it
  16. The Sun Also Rises

    Song vs. Song

    Terrence Loves You vs Heroin
  17. I was going to say the same thing! They undoubtably chose the WORST song of the bunch. I love Radiohead but Lana has the DEFINITIVE voice and aesthetic of a Bond movie! Specifically the soundscape of Honeymoon is so perfect for a Bond movie .. I agree 100%! Slightly different cases, but Young and Beautiful and 24 would have been really easy wins I haven't really liked any of the recent Bond movies (actually I don't like any of them very much) but I hope she does a soundtrack for an incredible movie again soon — they never miss
  18. Did you finish it yet? I first started reading Anna Karenina years ago (not even sure when!) but moved house and left the book at home. I just picked it back up again and finally finished it this time. Such a great story and characters (although I do have some gripes with it)!
  19. 0.1% chance of it really happening, but I love his work too, and who knows! I can see Lana doing something like that honestly, to add to the 10+ projects she's considering It's so sweet she acknowledged it!
  20. Lana commented: "U r so good" and "I have to do an album one day of just your remixes/interpretations" https://www.instagram.com/reel/C7Ue_zbStNA/?igsh=MWJ2YzZ6NTN0aG5idg==
  21. Typical British weather You'll get people topless in shorts alongside people in full-on winter coats. To be honest for Lana coming from the U.S. it's probably pretty cold here. It's been under 20 degrees. But she clearly remembers how changeable the U.K. weather is because she's wearing the puffy jacket AND sunglasses
  22. Double demin DREAM QUEEN I've never been so upset I don't live in London my whole life (except maybe when she was full-on living in London, but I was too young then to do anything about it)
