okay, im not into ambient music and white noise, however unlike other clowns i wont be shitting on a project and an artist overall because of my personal taste towards a certain type of music. I still appreciate the songs with a more standard structure which is Punish, Amber Ways and Vacillator. 
 
Will i be returning to the ambient trakcs? No. Will i be streaming the songs with vocals religiously? Yes. I am also happy she is releasing a new project, i would prefer the B-sides or Preacher's Wife, however i am patient and happy for the new tracks we just got 

I don't know what y'all was expecting from Ethel since she spent most of 2024 releasing ambient songs on soundcloud, one of which was 40 minutes. 
 
But anyway, i truly hope this project creates a dramatic shift in the perception of drone music and ambient. Typing my review for Perverts as we speak. Y'all need to lock urselfs in a dark room and listen to this shit with eyes closed. Imagine the experience of the music. Please.

Im on title track rn... It's like a mix of reverend kristin michael hayter with silent hill and white death by father2006. im already feeling this project, it's like an audio imaginative experience (which is what most ambient music with darker elements is supposed to provoke btw)
she has to make a horror movie about this omfg.

also can y'all stop complaining she literally has over 100 songs counting unreleased y'all can go listen to instead if you hate ambient music so much. the rest of the album is clearly going to have more similar vibes to amber waves, punish, and housofpsychoticwomn than it will her 30 minute long sound experiments on soundcloud that she posted exclusively to there for a reason, no one is forcing you to listen to ashmedai and it's a completely different project from the ethel cain project

To be honest im not upset about the ambient tracks at all, i really like her soundcloud songs, but i do get why some people might be a bit turned off by them, especially following fom preachers daughter, the album hasn't really been marketed as an ambient record so i think the casual audience will expect something similar to preachers daughter and be a bit disappointed which i understand, the disappointment wont last long when they find out what a masterpiece it is though

judging by what ppl have said there's 3 ambient tracks and 1 with a long ambient outro, pulldrone 100% feels like one of those
 
because ambient is a genre like any other. i understand that it's not everyone's cup of tea, i also prefer her tracks with lyrics, but i think dismissing it like this is worse than anyone being pretentious
