  1. I personally don't hate it, even though it's possibly Lana's worst song in her released discography. The problem with Lana is that every song slays, so even her worst song is AMAZING.
  2. Not gonna lie, Carmen is literally my least favourite Lana song out of her entire released discography. The song itself isn't bad, but I'm not a fan of the production at all
  3. How is it? It's just common sense that if you are as famous as Lana is, showing your house for millions of people to see will surely attract at least one person to it. It's only logical. I am not trying to defend the delusional fan at all, and by no means am I saying that it is 100% Lana's fault, I am just saying that part of the reason this happened was because of Lana.
  4. West Coast is her magnum opus y'all... Those dreamy, intense synthesisers and coastal soundscape combined with those dark beats and angelic vocals... what's not to love?
  5. Still find it kind of crazy how Rick Nowels goes from producing fast paced, upbeat bops like Bubblegum Bitch (Marina & The Diamonds) to slow, elegant songs like Honeymoon. It's bizarre, but I love it.
  6. I have been laughing about this all day I wonder whether Gaga payed much attention to "So Legit"
  7. This is the funniest thing ever. I am having so much fun watching the meltdowns from both fandoms. Honestly, I love them both (although Lana's music is in my eye obviously better than Gaga's), but I do like them both & their music. Glad they didn't start a huge fight and instead put whatever was from their past behind them finally. And the fact that they both posted photos of each other must mean they are officially over the beef. They easily could have posted individual photos just of themselves, but they didn't.
  8. When James Franco is a "highlight" on Lana's 2015 timeline and becomes more important than the release of her music videos/singles, Endless Summer tour, or any of her several nominations and awards ....
  9. I know I am making a reply to this a couple of years too late but now that we know about Lana's obsession with science it wouldn't surprise me if she was also somehow referencing the String Theory lmao EDIT: this was meant to be a joke. lmao at y'all taking it seriously
  10. Get this song stuck in my head all the time. I love it so much - the lyrics are just perfect!
  11. Feel free to add them to your own list if you wish to! I just didn't want to add even more songs to list, seeing as people have already complained that it would take too long.

  13. OK, so this might be a horrible thread idea because it will take a lifetime to order them, but if you feel like you want to give it a go, then please do. It's simple (just time-consuming): rank all of Lana's released songs in order from BEST to WORST. I would recommend using the numbered option when posting: Start from AKA then work your way through Born to Die, Paradise, Ultraviolence and Honeymoon, including the bonus tracks and the extra released tracks. I have a complete list of every released Lana song below in spoilers: LANA DEL RAY AKA LIZZY GRANT BORN TO DIE PARADISE ULTRAVIOLENCE HONEYMOON OTHER RELEASED MISC. TRACKS You should end up with seventy-two (72) tracks total in your list. I will post an example of my ordering in another post below. Have fun!
  14. Anyway, my order is: Ultraviolence > Honeymoon > Born to Die > AKA > Paradise

    Troye Sivan

The only thing I honestly cannot stand on the album is the amount of collabs on it. EASE ft. Broods - This was one of the better collabs because it was mainly duetting so it didn't take away from Troye too much DKLA ft. Tkay Maidza - even though I like the rap, it's kinda uneccessary? HEAVEN ft. Betty Who - Ok don't get me wrong I LOVE Betty Who and she sounds like an angel here, but I feel like this song could have been 1000x times more personal and emotional if it was just Troye. Betty sort of takes away the personal factor of it because she has no relevance to it lyrically - she isn't LGBT as far as I'm aware so she feels so out of place. Regardless, still one of my favourite tracks on the album. Just bugs me that someone else has been thrown onto what is perhaps the most personal song on the album. for him. feat. Allday - Definitely the most unnecessary collab. The rap is cringeworthy and ruins the song for me. the song is perfect until Allday comes along smh. Thank God my friend made an edit without the rap version!! BLUE feat. Alex Hope - A beautiful collab but again, it seems kind of random to just throw in someone else on such a personal song. Idk, maybe it's just that the kinds of albums I listen to generally don't have collaborations on them so I'm not really used to it. Like my three main faves, Lana, Marina and Melanie have never done collabs on their albums. I feel like I listen to an album to hear the singer of the album, not five other people. It takes away from the album being personal in my opinion. Regardless, the album still slays most of the other shitty pop music being released nowadays, just hoping he stops shoving so many collaborations onto his albums in the future.
  16. Give it another go. I never used to like it, but now I am in love with every single song. You never know, you might change your mind if you give it a few more listens like I did
  17. Even though Radio is a nice song to listen to, it feels the most filler on Born to Die. It's so repetitive by the end.
  18. Just wait. Be patient and you will be rewarded for being good
  19. All that we're trying to say is that Lana really should take SOME level of responsibility for all of this happening. She did show her entire house in a video so it is partly her fault... considering how obsessive her fanbase can be, surely she anticipated something like this would happen.
  20. I agree. But l I feel like neither Lana nor her team got to pick the image, and I feel as if whoever picked it doesn't want her to win, so they selected one of the most random images of her, with an unflattering angle (looking down generally symbolises weakness), and a strange action (hands in mouth looks awkward to me).
  21. I just need to put it out there how happy I am that everyone has put West Coast relatively high in their list and a lot of people have put it as their #1's. It makes me happy because I think it's one of Lana's best songs - it's evokes a sense of drowning in the dark, but also bathing in the comfort of a warm fire. It's full of contrasts and opposites - the verses are fast-paced while a breezy atmosphere enters throughout the chorus. The synthesisers that creep in towards the end of the track are so intense and emotional. I can't fully explain my love for this song.
