  1. Two things... 1) Is it in black & white the whole way through? Because if it is, Lana sis wyd? The colours in the pics looked so good, I want to see them in the vid and 2) What time is it coming? Thanks for spilling the tea @@salvatore
  2. Oops forgot to mention your name too, forgot you have access to VEVO too. That's kinda a disappointment. Hoping we get it in the next couple of days tbh I'm tired of waiting
  3. This probably won't make any sense, because I'm not quite sure how to phrase it, but on some days, Honeymoon is Lana's best album, but on others, it's clearly her worst. Like, I just cannot decide what to think of it. I mean, I LOVE it as I do with everything Lana releases, but at the same time, I can't help but feel as if it's a snoozefest if you're not in the mood to listen to it. Like, when I'm in a relaxed mood, it's perfect in every way, but every other time I listen to it, I can't help but wish it was more like her past works, which all had intriguing soundscapes ad concepts (BTD: orchestral Hollywood hip-hop sadcore, UV: coastal/ dark desert rock). Then there's Honeymoon, which doesn't really have a unique sound like the other albums, it's just a mostly quiet, reflective album with mostly subpar lyricism.
  4. Apparently it's coming at 11 noon US time? I've yet to find a source but that's what heaps of accounts on Instagram and Twitter are saying. Can anyone confirm this? @@Eclipse is this true or did some crazy ass bitch just make up a random time to get attention?
  5. Hang on, I thought she also didn't like people using the word "bitch" in an offensive way, but she just called someone a bitch What a hypocrite
  6. No worries. Thanks for the apology. I'm also sorry, I shouldn't have dragged this conversation on, your comment really wasn't that big of a deal. I got overly bothered by it when it was just your personal opinion. I understand where you're coming from now, but I still see things differently, so I guess we'll have to respectfully disagree lol. But thanks for not starting a massive argument like some other users would!
  7. Ok, sorry for writing "calm down". That was perhaps a bit too far. I don't think you're causing a huge fuss, I shouldn't have written that you were in my comment either, all I was trying to say was that your your comment really added nothing to the discussion of this page other than a bitter comment. And I don't see how this thread is redundant? People create these threads so that everyone has a convenient place to go if they wish to view the lyrics, or if they have something they would like to discuss regarding the song. Yes, this is a cover, so the words themselves aren't from Lana's mouth, but she has said multiple times that she selects her cover songs very carefully, and that they always have a meaning to her in her life. So why can't we have a place for people to dissect the meaning of the song in relation to Lana's life. It's better there's one thread for discussion rather than a bunch of users creating multiple annoying threads all over the place, which seems to be happening a lot around here lately. Also, I never said you were forcing me to agree with your opinion. I just think that sometimes there's no use in sharing an opinion if it will bring about nothing relevant, and only concerns a trivial matter, like a lyrics thread Apart from our little clash, we've already had about three people post relevant comments regarding the cover. If anything was redundant, it was your initial comment, which added even less to this discussion than my initial post with the lyrics. Sorry if I'm coming across as rude, I'm just genuinely confused as to why you think these pages shouldn't exist when they're completely relevant and have already sparked a few discussion points?
  8. At the moment, this is the order of my favorite tracks (although, this'll probably change in about 10 mins) 1. Music to Watch Boys To 2. Salvatore 3. Honeymoon 4. Religion 5. Freak 6. Swan Song but really every song on the album is amazing in its own way
  9. Calm down sis, I know it's just a cover, I just wanted to have a thread for the lyrics so they are all conveniently in one place on the Boards and you don't have to tediously go searching Google for them! Plus, she did change the phrasing slightly Some of you people are so annoying. Every time someone does something good around here or in the Lana world, you cause a fuss. omg
  10. Haha, that was me who wrote that post. I'm actually working on a thread explaining my ideas in relation to the time theme she explores on Honeymoon.
  11. Noticed nobody's made his thread yet so here you all go... Baby, you understand me now If sometimes you see that I'm mad Don't you know that no one alive can always be an angel? When everything goes wrong you see some bad Well, I'm just a soul whose intentions are good Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood You know sometimes, baby, I'm so carefree With a joy that's hard to hide And then sometimes again it seems that all I have is worry And then you're bound to see my other side But I'm just a soul whose intentions are good Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood If I seem edgy I want you to know I never meant to take it out on, on you Life has it's problems And I get more than my share But that's one thing I never mean to do 'Cause I love you Oh baby I'm just human Don't you know I have faults like anyone? Sometimes I find myself alone regretting Some little foolish thing Some simple thing that I've done Cause I'm just a soul whose intentions are good Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood I try so hard Don't let me be misunderstood I try so hard Don't let me be misunderstood
  12. Thought I'd make this game to see which songs people like best from each album. I've placed the track lists from each Lana album (not doing anything before AKA because they were never officially released) side by side and it's your job to pick the song you like best from each tracklist number. (Btw, I had to start reusing some tracks from some eras, mostly Paradise, so there'd be a song for each row. Just letting you know in case you're wondering) I've posted mine below as an example. Kill Kill ---- Born to Die ---- Ride ---- Cruel World ---- Honeymoon Queen of the Gas Station ---- Off to the Races ---- American ---- Ultraviolence ---- Music to Watch Boys To Oh Say Can You See ---- Blue Jeans ---- Cola ---- Shades of Cool ---- Terrence Loves You Gramma (Blue Ribbon Sparkler Trailer Heaven) ---- Video Games ---- Body Electric ---- Brooklyn Baby ---- God Knows I Tried For K Part 2 ---- Diet Mountain Dew ---- Blue Velvet ---- West Coast ---- High By The Beach Jump ---- National Anthem ---- Gods & Monsters ---- Sad Girl ---- Freak Mermaid Motel ---- Dark Paradise ---- Yayo (Paradise edition) ---- Pretty When You Cry ---- Art Deco Raise Me Up (Mississippi South) ---- Radio ---- Bel Air ---- Money Power Glory ---- Religion Pawn Shop Blues ---- Carmen ---- Burning Desire ---- Fucked My Way Up to the Top ----- Salvatore Brite Lites - Million Dollar Man ---- Ride ---- Old Money ---- The Blackest Day Put Me in a Movie ---- Summertime Sadness ---- American ---- The Other Woman ---- 24 Smarty ---- This Is What Makes Us Girls ---- Cola ---- Black Beauty ---- Swan Song Yayo (AKA version) ---- Without You ---- Body Electric ---- Guns and Roses ---- Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood Once you've selected your favourite song from each list, count up how many songs you selected as your favourite from each era/album… UV: 5 BTD: 3 HM: 2 Paradise: 2 AKA: 1 So according to MY selection, this is the ranking of my favourite albums, which is actually kinda not surprising because this is actually the order I'd rank them off the top of my head Now copy + paste the list and start bolding the text of your favourite songs, to see which album you like best! :)
  13. TOP 5 West Coast (my fav song EVER) Born to Die Shades of Cool Young and Beautiful (I sound like such a Ray picking this one but it just speaks to me so much even after all this time omg) Million Dollar Man Honourable mentions to Off to the Races, Blue Jeans, Video Games, Brooklyn Baby, Honeymoon, Salvatore, Music to Watch Boys to & Religion BOTTOM 5 Carmen Lucky Ones Guns and Roses Cola Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood *Btw this took me like an hour no joke Her discography is just so perfect. As much as I love Honeymoon (the album), I just can't bring myself to placing any of those tracks in my top 5, there are just too many other iconic songs imo
  14. This pretty much sums up how I feel about the record. I feel like all of the songs are beautiful melodically and are rather interesting production-wise (excluding a few tracks), and she sounds so ethereal and angelic throughout most of the album, albeit, I don't feel any sort of connection this album like I have her previous works. It's not that it's emotionless, because I think at certain moments she sounds extremely emotional, but I just personally am struggling to relate or empathise with the album as a whole. Like, the songs are amazing, but I just don't feel much of anything when I listen to the album, like I do with songs like Bel Air, Video Games, Born to Die, Ultraviolence, West Coast, Shades of Cool, Gods & Monsters, and so on. Honeymoon is almost too relaxed. Also, the lyrics are a huge step-down compared to all of her last albums, in my opinion. What happened to the elaborate descriptions of Off to the Races, or the poetic nature of songs like Bel Air and West Coast, or the intelligent lyricism behind songs like Gods & Monsters or Dark Paradise? I miss those days. Honeymoon has pretty mediocre lyrics compared to the past, and I think Lana even knows that herself, considering she mentioned in a couple of interviews this era that she wasn't very focused on the lyrics, but more on creating interesting soundscapes. Apart from the bridge and the "dreaming away your life" lines in the title track, the lyrics are overly-simplistic and rather cliche. God Knows I Tried, Swan Song and Honeymoon all suffer from Sad Girl Chorus syndrome, where the choruses contain some of the laziest lyrics in Lana's history. Even one of my favourite tracks on the album, Salvatore, has some odd lyrics that are overly quirky ("soft ice cream", "cacciatore" anyone?) that I know a lot of people have been frustrated by. 24 is perhaps the biggest lyrical disappointment on the album. Overall, it's a lovely album that I really do admire, but I feel like it's even more of a mood record than Ultraviolence. It's a record I'm sure I'll put on to calm myself down or when I'm feeling relaxed, but it's not an album you can play whenever, if that makes sense. Still really appreciate that Lana is putting out new material so quickly and very beautiful music as well, but I can't deny the fact that in some ways, Lana did get worse this era.

  16. These were amazing, especially Honeymoon Wish the studio version had more percussion like this does
  17. Could somebody post a download link of Smile? Omg I've always loved this song and now Lana has done it
