    Charli XCX

It is past its expiration date and won't make it through the week. Sorry, Charli, and sorry to your next masterpiece inb4 we have to make an emote of Charli's manager because LanaBoards is another seedy hub of trading activity for a different artist

We're making a MESS here together
  4. Wait no since we've officially completed a survivor game for Born to Die and Paradise, I think we should do one for Born to Die: The Paradise Edition. All 24
  5. Diagnosis on transforming Lanalysis post-Jimmy news is not great. It's sort of looking like her timeline goes... PRE-SIRENS - Crush or more on Mr. Campbell, telling her she'd never make it out alive - K as a teenager and early adulthood until his arrest - Z-list celebrity who wasn't responsible with his addiction, Lana trying to her best to make him a good man (what do you need to get high for?) but him rejecting her ("Pretty Baby", "Junky Pride") - Crush on Jimmy Gnecco, seemingly unrelated to the Z-list celeb because they probably were never together - A married man (I'm Indebted to You) [Meeting in motels, Bill?] POST-SIRENS - Arthur Lynn--an easy stand-in for Jimmy Gnecco, a similar "violent love" as evidenced in Diet Mtn Dew, and they actually dated. However, songs about addiction, leaving him because he couldn't be responsible ("Pawn Shop Blues") can't be about him because Lizzy Grant and the Phenomena was active throughout 2007, well after PSB was written. Although he probably had some underground Brooklyn fame, he's not our Z-lister. - Reeve Carney--featured in videos and photo shoots but he's just vanilla enough to be indistinguishable in any of her songs. - Nick Fowler--no concrete evidence but he has posted early photos of her and was in the same Arthur Lynn/Jimmy Gnecco/Reeve Carney scene as her. ALSO consider "A Star for Nick". - Mike Mizrahi is a definite. She leaves him for trying to navigate her career and then wants him back once he has another woman. He played video games lots. POST-BTD - A fling with Bradley Soileau - Someone from the above list returning "Radio" style - Cheating on and then living happily in poetic bliss with Barrie Anyone see any overlap? Consider our "irresponsible addict" songs such as Us Against the World, Velvet Crowbar, You & Me, and Pawn Shop Blues.

    MARINA (and The Diamonds)

I really need 11 Diamonds and Part 10 info like yesterday though

    Azealia Banks

That was supposed to be a Beyonce song?! Goddamn it still feels so far...I'm sat here waiting for Gaga's album and November's about as long as I want to wait for Azealia, as well I'm glad she said September as the first month because I know not to listen to it. For instance, if she said November first, it would definitely be coming out in 2014. Good news for everyone who didn't like the production on "Venus", though--the original sounds more like dancey Coldplay?

    Lorde

See, that article threw me off because it said more than one song from the EP was making it, while Lorde herself said only one. For now, I'll put stock in her word and assume she'll put "Royals" to lure in sales. I have no doubt that "Tennis Court" will make it. I hope "Swingin' Party" doesn't, either, just because I like the idea of it being a true B-side. Bonus track at best. Thing is, we don't even know enough titles to form any kind of proper album, so it's all guessing. "Buzzcut Season", "Glory and Gore", "Ribs", "400 Lux", "Tennis Court", a Love Club song...only 6! Not even last.fm or registering sites are giving me anything. I saw "Wishery" on last.fm but that seems like a complete shot in the dark because the name Lorde could've been anything prior to her popularity. If she does any more Love Club songs, then "Bravado" and that's it. I just need more info
  9. Take Me to Paris could totally fit in a Born to Die special edition, I think. By Lucky Ones, perhaps.

    Maha Maha

"Maha" is Arabic, I think...something about a beautiful woman? Wikipedia when in doubt: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maha Subsequently, in Arabic Maha means a woman of beautiful eyes. In the Arabian Nomad Life before Islam, Many poets used it to demonstrate how their beloved lady's eye are so beautiful and her body is fit just like the Maha (Impala). In Indian, Maha can refer to "great". But the other words seem more Hawaiian? "Loha" could be an abbreviation of "aloha".
  11. That makes sense. So once and for all, you think they pushed it back so she can put out an EP of outtakes and release it internationally, not because she's doing new stuff?
  12. My Sky tickets came in the mail! Wondering: does anyone have the interview that Sky talks about the delay in, other than GQ? Mentioning getting with other producers and stuff. @ mentioned it?
  13. Sigh at this title, omg Well, the only thing I insist everyone does is put Golden Grill directly before Boarding School. With the little outro, it works perfectly. I'm still working on Television Heaven...I want to put it after My Best Days, but that puts it right next to TV in Black & White, which is a tacky title pairing. For now I have it after Never Let Me Go.

Entertainment sections is for bands, not blogs :smiles: Like some of their sound, I will leave this in the background as I tumblr and see if I feel sufficiently twee.

    Lorde

So there's this: http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/pop-shop/1568730/lorde-breaks-onto-us-charts-preps-september-album Late August for US promo? I can see her being nominated in the newcomer category at the VMAs, she's got a moderate hit. If her video even qualifies. I just wonder what "key industry events" these will be. BUT OMG SEPTEMBER 30TH, PREPARE FOR DELIVERANCE
  17. I hear "dynamite" rather than "diamond mines"...

    What are you on about...

    Azealia Banks

Either way, Venus would never be a single because it's exclusively singing and no one wants a Nicki Minaj backlash disaster. I was hoping for some full singing songs on the album, though! I really hope the original version makes it--this early release might not bode well for that, and it was also speculated for Paul Oakenfold's album. But if I love this remix this much, I can only imagine what the original will be like! I find the production a little generic Cascada ~islandy~, but it fits because it's the "Ibiza edition". In any form, this song needs to be put out.

LMAO probably you @@comeintomybedroom, I'm 18. @@evilentity said he liked I Love It Actually after the Marina concert I was mingling in the parking lot with my Charli shirt on and this very sophisticated looking middle aged black couple called me over to their fancy ass car. Now I thought I was being asked to sell them drugs but actually they were like, "We saw your shirt, are you going to meet Charli?" I told them I was certainly trying and we chatted for a minute about how great she is. Really took me by surprise because I assumed only tumblr teens were into her Queen of space pop breaking them age barriers

    Azealia Banks

Renewed faith in Azealia after ATM Jam lost it's initial wonder "Venus" is so anthemic and her singing voice literally bulldozes me. Please be on the album!

WIAT WHERE HAVE I BEENE MB UHHHHHHHHHHHH DOWNLOAD PLEASE
  23. If Body Electric is the first song and the story begins in the Garden of Eden...is Elvis going to be there? Hopefully the Eden bit is just dialogue and monologues, perhaps with Body Electric beginning as they're banished. Man, I kinda wish the plot hadn't been spoiled. I do sincerely doubt it's any kind of moral message. If anything it's probably exploring the weird love story that is first man meets first woman.
  24. Well, the Trash Magic option is to use this cover and call it "White Pontiac Heaven": But the font looks a little too spot-on next to the Daddy Issues cover because it's the very next volume. Like either they should all be that font or only one. So I'm kinda of between covers. cartooneyes made this Daytona Meth cover, which is another nice name: Or a good ol' webcam pic which is v "Noir": Characterisitic title options: Champagne Sighs, Snowflake Ice Queen, Velvet Elvis, Sloe Gin Fizz... I post all these options because tbh I'm undecided.
