  2. I will try those! My loyal subjects! Okay, well I finally decided to stop guessing the years of the a cappella songs and just made them into their own album! So you'll have to decide where to put them in the existing playlists if you don't want to do that--Daytona Meth sounds pretty good before Disco. Also considering trying Catch and Release between Dayglo Reflection and I Don't Wanna Go, but it might not be sad enough. Good pairing with Serial Killer, though. (As you can see, Noir is off in Volume 5.) Scarface can pretty much only go next to Daddy Issues, but luckily it sounds even better going into Spender than DI did.
  3. Here's what I have for the demo: Blue jeans, white shirt Walked into the room, you know you made my eyes hurt It was like, James Dean, for sure S-so fresh to death and sick as ca-cancer You were sorta punk rock, I grew up on hip-hop But you fit me better than my favorite sweater And I know that love is mean (uh-oh), and love hurts (uh-oh) But I still remember that day we met in December Oh, baby I will love you 'till the end of time I would wait a milion years Promise you'll remember that you're mine Baby, can you see through the tears? Love you more than them tricks before Say you'll remember Oh baby, say you'll remember, oh baby I will love you 'till the end of time Big dreams, gangster Said you had to leave to start your life over I was like, "No please, stay here." We don't need no money, we can make it all work Headed out on Sunday, said he'd come home on Monday I stayed up waiting, anticipating and pacing But he was chasing paper Got caught up in the game, it was the last I heard I will love you 'till the end of time I would wait a milion years Promise you'll remember that you're mine Baby, can you see through the tears? Love you more than them tricks before Say you'll remember Oh baby, say you'll remember, oh baby I will love you 'till the end of time

  6. "Hawaiian Tropic" is throwing a real wrench in my playlists. I'm pretty confident it's a Lizzy song but it's pretty unique among that set. Later, more produced Lizzy is all very happy and earlier, sparse Lizzy is usually sad. "Hawaiian Tropic" is a later Lizzy song but it's sad and I have no idea where to put it. I had this cool idea to put it at the very end, so that the playlist begins with "Every Man Has His Wish" and ends with it's sadder twin. However, there's nothing toward the end of my playlist that can flow into it. Fordham Road --> Hawaiian Tropic sounds just dreadful with those chimes at the beginning and the faster tempo. Nothing in the entire playlist really fits! It would sound great next to "TV in Black & White" but that's just not a Lizzy song. Any ideas?

    MARINA (and The Diamonds)

Because she hasn't done anything yet WHy would you think that?
  8. Curious So we likely won't be seeing any new titles pop up, it'll just be the same tracklist marinating until next year (pray for January). I do intend to do the fanbook still! I guess now more than ever we all need to write some encouragement and support

    Charli XCX

    What good would that do?
  10. Thanks! I still hear "bullshit", though, which also works. "I bought your bullshit all before."
  11. Shit, you beat me. I got this: You know, sometimes I think God’s playing a little game with me Looking down from Heaven, laughing, trying to see how much I can take Because the way things go, it’s like a joke Nobody’s had more shots than me, more missed than me It’s like I got my life stuck, stuck on rewind Tried to make something of myself, life’s got something else in mind I’m fighting a losing game and I’m biding my time You won’t be my man, do I understand? No, stop! I don’t wanna hear another word about you Why not stop by? You bullshit all before now you’re trying to sell me more, babe A man who makes a beast out of himself got nothing to lose Sold my soul long ago with nothing left to choose I’m tired, tired of singing the blues I’m tired Walking down the streets you wouldn’t know what I was thinking It’s just another white-girl day, hey, ribbons in my hair and I am sinking down A double life, a sordid past, and I am drinking now I want to be bad, you say you were glad to see me Shut up! I don’t wanna know another thing you think you know about me I’m not who you think I am Smiling but I ain’t happy A man who makes a beast out of himself got nothing to lose Sold my soul long ago with nothing I can choose I’m tired, tired of singing the blues I’m tired ??? super gone, I can’t turn off My mind is like a ticking time-bomb Trying to kill me from inside Honey, and day and night Is there no remedy for memory? I’ve felt this way before, I’ve known the depths of ??? desperation My boyfriend says I’m like an old movie star, with loneliness as my occupation I know that he’s right but I don’t care tonight I want to be bad, I want to be bad I can’t stop I keep running ‘round the same town, knocking you down I’m fucked How can I get out when there’s nowhere to go for miles around? A man who makes a beast out of himself got nothing to lose Sold my soul long ago with nothing left to choose I’m tired, tired of singing the blues I’m tired
  12. You don't think the current tracklist that lacks "One Way to Heaven" isn't changing? I mean, if she's getting with different producers.
  13. *black and white waves *I couldn't feel safer *Baby, you know mama (?) never had much money but I plan on using this face to pay, honey
  14. Lbr, neither can beat Charli at creating a more infuriating debut tracklist Less cute title! Ugh if it's just YNTO and remixes...Hopefully it's an EIE in the Ghost EP situation where the single isn't the title focus. Although it is the only confirmed track we have. Give me info, Sky, I'm starving I was expecting to be able to sing along to her album when I saw her live but it's still exciting to get some more studio versions than we have currently.

    Azealia Banks

Someone on another forum said it really well, Azealia is marketed to the completely wrong audience. As long as she's in the same sentence as Lady Gaga or Lana Del Rey, it'll come with a package deal of crazy teenagers who dedicate either extreme of such hatred or obsession to certain artists. Her fans and fans of her contemporaries will always care about what she says on Twitter and album sales. Her album will not be a huge success and "212" just may be her last moderate hit. It's distressing that anyone from other fanbases gives a single fuck because as a #kunt () I couldn't care less, I just really like her music. It's not something she'll escape anytime soon and she'll be dragged for a while and beef even more. Hopefully after her album she manages to be more low-key, otherwise I don't think she can honestly put out another body of work. Horror of horrors, Iggy Azalea is more popular right now. Hits need to not be on the forefront of Azealia's strategy, which is why "ATM Jam" slightly disappoints me--it just doesn't have that certain Azealia flair. I'll allow her to do her thing and hopefully this album comes sooner rather than later to lessen this emphasis on her personal decisions. She's got a tour later this year so I imagine anywhere between August and October it'll be released. See you at the end of the year @@Foolish
  16. FUCKING YIKES, did she actually say that? Way to get her Bloodshy & Avant album out of the way? I'm still trying to be optimistic about her releases. New music in September anyway... Have to wonder which producers she wants. I liked the idea of a predominantly Ariel Rechtshaid album, like True Romance, but the fate of the Jon Brion songs seems better now. There are lots of songs I want instantly (I Can't Say No to Myself, Pretty Dull), but I imagine them to be more debut album songs. Get that Vampire Weekend collab, though. Also wonder if she'll still put Everything is Embarrassing and You're Not the One on the album. Cringe at how old EIE will be by then. Ideal tracklist (hopefully made up of known song titles so that the album can have some new material): 1. Werewolf (From Waist Down) - Since she has a weird relationship with this song, I'll allow it for a lesser release. 2. You're Not the One 3. On Top 4. 24 Hours 5. Rancid Girl 6. I'm Not Alright I'd be all in for I'm Not Alright - EP as a title and I Will for the album.

    Lady Gaga

#IStandByLanaXCXandtheDiamonds in the darkest of times You won't be rid of me so easily Actually the night the info was released, this girl texted me, "I can finally stop obsessing over Marina!" Looking forward to more of that. This is also true. Lady Gaga is like the first pop obsession I had (and thankfully laid my emo phase to rest ), so therefore it's a really different kind connection I have with her as opposed to a few other artists I love. However, the more exposure I've gotten since early high school, the more artists that have emerged that I consider equal (or even surpassed her)--Lana Del Rey for example. Allow me to tangent about bandwagons: While I don't doubt that there's plenty of secondhand-Gaga bandwagons for less popular female artists, people are too attached to this set amount of favorites. Like a ~trifecta ooh~ or something, that's everywhere. I'll admit to basically liking every tumblr fad female vocalist but I don't have to force myself--usually, I try to like them less to feel like I'm not turning into a white girl If anything, Lana exposed me to this side of music, not Gaga Going off-topic. Well let's see if the Gaga thread can finally thrive here
  18. My friends and I loved Evil Dead so much that it would probably get some use if any of us bought it, actually. I wanna get all the season of Shameless on DVD but I'm too cheap to live.
  19. I'd be here for a whole new build up of hype on a new tracklist OR release the folky/acoustic/Jon Brion songs on an EP and let the album be electropop.
  20. Wow I've officially experienced the sting of my first huge monumental Sky Ferreira delay. I feel closer to all of you 2014 for the album and an EP in September, for those of you don't know. As long as the EP is 6+ tracks tbh but that's pretty wishful thinking.
  21. What with an ARTPOP date, I'll do an official list: Trouble by Natalia Kills (September 2) The Bones of What You Believe by CHVRCHES (September 23) - after listening for one day but hey ??? - EP by Sky Ferreira (September ???) ??? by Lorde (September ???) ARTPOP by Lady Gaga (November 11) Broke With Expensive Taste by Azealia Banks (???) I Will Never Release an Album by Sky Ferreira (???) Singles: "???" by Lady Gaga (August 19) "ATM Jam" by Azealia Banks (Very soon???) "???" by Charli XCX (September???) "You're Not the One" by Sky Ferreira (Album or EP or...?)

    Azealia Banks

Another release, another beef. Life of an Azealia fan "ATM Jam" just simply needs an explicit version before I can fully judge it but I wish she sounded less like Nicki Minaj. Bop-worthy and chart-worthy, though.

    Lady Gaga

When this woman does it, she DOES it. I love that it came out of nowhere. And yes it's finally time I rep my first love via my set despite the stones I will receive because IT'S COMING. I need to know the name of the single. I wonder if it's just gonna be the title track.
