I felt sad because of the way she's forced to think, especially in light of her fame...I think the monologue basically said she finally felt happiness and freedom after watching all her dreams and expectations of fame turn into something else entirely. A good perspective, but sad that's she's driven to that.

I'm glad there wasn't any death. Years from now, when she better still be making music, I want to look back at the deaths in the Born to Die videos and feel fond of the theme--because that was the album, Born to DIE. I don't want it to become a schtick, which it would if she kept doing it. But for the whole era in a grand scheme, it was pretty cool.

    Thirty blocks to Fordham Road
    Past a bad neighborhood
    Crack house on the corner
I know I shouldn't do what it is I could

A stone Mary in the garden
She let me know she watchin'
And she said I better get walkin'
    I better walk away

I don't know why it is that I wanna stay
I don't know what it is that makes me feel this way
But I'm not gonna do what I hear me say
I'm just gonna walk, I'm gonna walk away

I catch a dollar in the wind and I
    Buy a cup of coffee
    There's a place on Valentine
    That still charge ninety cent

I keep on walking in the daytime
And in my eyes, it's always nighttime
And I like it when it's midnight
'Cause that's when all the stars come out

I don't know why it is that I wanna stay
I don't know what it is that makes me feel this way
But I'm not gonna do what I hear me say
I'm just gonna walk, I'm gonna walk away

It is the grea-, this is the greatest day (x2)

I think Lanas just a naughty whore tbh.

She's really projecting herself in this video tho- like.... it's so autobiographical and organic, don't you think? But it's a carefully constructed type of organic- the kind that says "i'm telling a story- this is important" but at the same time, feels natural

Frankly it's just for a couple seconds of the video, so I doubt she's making any sort of statement. Sorry.

Now: Is it disrespectful or her to wrap herself up in the American flag?

I love Gaga. And I'm actually doing another Gaga remix on the mixtape, because when I started writing the remix, it was DJWS who had released that beat and told fans to remix it. So, originally, it was just a DJWS beat. But, I'm doing a proper gaga remix. I'm really excited about it.

I like this monologue because it's about as personal as she's gotten. Her interviews are usually cut-and-paste from past interviews and songs are less straightforward. I think it makes the video.

Welcome to LANALYSIS, where we get real unhealthy in our obsessions and absolutely revel in it.

This is a project I've been maintaining for a while now--Lana + Analysis...get it? The basic purpose is to relate every one of her songs (that's right, every last one of them) to her known and assumed relationships. Not a stone is left unturned. Privacy is violated. The fans rejoice. Mind you, it’s all pure speculation, but ~this is what makes us stans~

It’s pretty long but an interesting read, if I do say so myself. I hope you enjoy it in all it’s updated glory, and I will continue to update as new information is revealed and new songs come out. I will also be adding pictures, sources, etc. Stay tuned!

    Let’s get started!

    EARLY RELATIONSHIPS (1985 - ~2005)

    LOCAL ROCKSTARS (~2005 - 2009)

YOU MADE ME NICE FOR A WHILE (2009 - 2011)

    POST-BREAKTHROUGH (2011+)

    IN THE LAND OF DISCREPANCIES

    ADVANCED LANALYSIS

    IN SUMMARY..

    Lingering questions…
    - Who the fuck is K?
    - Who the fuck is Ray?
    - Who the fuck is Bill? Is Bill really K? Does Bill matter at all?
    - What significance do cars play? She mentions eight in total (white Corvette, white Pontiac, blue Chevy Nova/Chevrolet, Cadillac convertible, Mercedes, pickup truck, Lamborghini, Bugatti Veyron)
    - When was she/who was she with in New York City and New Jersey? Ditto LA? Most mysterious and pressing, her time in the South?
    - Did she have a fling with Bradley Soileau?
    - Did Chris C. matter enough to her for her to write songs about him?

    Assumptions Made:
    - Lana was a gogo dancer.
    - K is a drug dealer/murderer, dead or on death row.
    - Jimmy is her ex-fiancé, addicted to cocaine despite a Wikipedia page stressing how healthy he is, associated with Chevrolets.
    - Much of Sirens is about completely different relationships.
    - She fucked Bradley.
    - Mike controlled her career but their relationship wasn’t associated with anything fucked up like drugs or stripping.

Thanks for reading! I crave both your feedback and theories! This remains a forum collaboration and I don't claim to have the final say on Lanalytical manners.

For the sake of believability, I'm always hunting receipts, and currently:
    - The interview where she refers to "Yayo" as the prequel to "Video Games"
    - The interview where she describes "Video Games" as dealing with mutual sobriety in a relationship--her and her partner both staying clean.
    - The interview where she talks about meeting her boyfriend in rehab and being dazzled by his small-scale celebrity.

She is NOT getting coffee with that fan, that fan just invited her and she was like "uh..."

The only full song I caught (I was one of the last people to enter the first screening) was "American". It had some crystal meth lyrics. i recorded some of it but DAMN you can hear my voice. I'll upload anyway.

It is a complete rumor that she said she'd collab with Gaga. I witnessed that question and she IMMEDIATELY changed the subject to other collabs

    I was crying throughout.

I WAS THE ONE WHO ASKED ABOUT "YAYO", I AM SO GLAD THIS WAS WORTHWHILE NEWS THAT SOMEONE REPORTED TO YOU

Hold on brah! Did she just say \ˌin-di-ˈsī-siv\? Instead of /ˌɪndɪˈsaɪsɪv/?
Bah! I'm conflicted and indecisive upon how to pronounce that.

If you start a thread and post your recording, I'll post back with me reading it and hopefully we can get more people to join in

I suspect this won't be the last meth song we hear from Lana. But where is the YouTube video?

What is it suspended from? A magic cloud or Auto-Tuned Loon?

I'm very happy with you. You asked a real, substantive question that actually had a chance in hell of being answered. Yes, "Yayo" is like a timeless jazz standard. I can't imagine how she didn't like how it turned out originally. (Aside from her taking a breath in the middle of the word tattoo, it's perfect.) And from what we've heard of the re-recorded version, I can't imagine how she could like how it turned out any better. But I'm withholding judgement until I hear it in full.

Great essay. Over double the required length. However, I'm taking points off due to the lack of pictures, the missing YouTube video, and your failure to properly explain what the tire swing is suspended from.
