But is she really living there? I always thought she only rented the Malibu house just for HBTB and that she's living in Schwimmer house? I really don't see her still living in a house that was all over the internet when she's precisely trying to escape her rabid stans
  5. hello moto liked a post in a topic by Mind Melt in If Ultraviolence was pop
I personally feel that Ultraviolence sold because of the music. West Coast is one of Lana's best songs of all time, and that includes her unreleased.
I guess you could say that Born to Die helped in the way that it got her name out to the GP, but I really think a lot of people liked the change that Ultraviolence brought, and it opened her up to different audiences.
Honeymoon lacks energy & longevity. When I first got into Lana I had BTD on repeat for MONTHS, the same goes for UV when it released. When HM came out I was playing different artists hours later (opposed to weeks like the previous albums)

Honeymoon was underwhelming, and to even some, incredibly boring. The lyrics weren't fantastic and it was sooo slow.
High By the Beach was only okay, but again, not the best. Terrence Loves You was incredibly beautiful, but again, slow.
A decent chunk of the songs on HM sound similar, and she sounds bored throughout the whole album. It's an amazing album though, but I'm already bored with it tbh

We already have the perfect gapless album. It's called AKA.
  7. hello moto liked a post in a topic by graham4anything in Lana can be nominated and officially win a grammy ...
IF  Weeknds  album is nominated and/or wins (and it is one of Billboard's most likely to be nominated)
and Lana needs to do no publicity nor ass kissing to get this-

The Best Album now awards Grammy to ALL artists starring and featured on the album

Leonard Cohen won his first Grammy in 2007 for a featured song on Herbie Hancock's grammy winning LP the  Joni letters (at age 71)
  8. hello moto liked a post in a topic by Atom Heart in Azealia Banks Not Okay With Gay Men Using the Word 'Bitch'
In my eyes, bitch is a term against women and only used toward men to attack their masculinity (their ego) and make them feel like women.
As an LGBTQ person, Azealia is called a bitch anytime she presents an unpopular opinion. She never used the word faggot in her music. She has refered to herself (or the character her lyrics portray) as a dyke plenty of times and nobody bats an eye. But once she called one person a fag (Perez Hilton) everyone is in an uproar.

December 2012  I buy First Aid Kit's The Lion's Roar.

In love with the artwork, I check the booklet for credits, introduced to photographer Neil Krug and begin following him on flickr religiously favouriting his uploads and think his vision matches Lana's style.

Begin commenting "Are you a fan of Lana Del Rey? You should totally work together", which he acknowledges himself

April 2014  Lana Del Rey and Neil Krug collaborate on the visuals for her album Ultraviolence. This is the beginning of a prolific creative partnership which would include further collaborations for 3 publications and further personal projects, also Honeymoon, the album she would release the next year.

March 2014  I predict The Other Woman will appear on Ultraviolence 2 months before the tracklist is announced in fanmade artwork

March 2012  I post a fake magazine cover featuring the title "The Mysterious Ways of Miss Lana Del Rey"

October 2015  Lana Del Rey covers Billboard magazine with the same title

    King!

It took Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys 50 years, 2011, to win their first Grammy, so as Lana already has 2 nominations including the one for Paradise,
gotta figure she will win in something like 2050, will we all still be here? I would be happy for Rock and Roll hall of fame in the 2030's.

Should had a Producer of the Year entry being that Lana is the lead producer on the credits of Honeymoon

If Weeknd releases the duet as official single, next year vocal event of the year

My guess is Ryan Adams will be winning a lot of awards this year, like Beck

It is also good to note-
Leonard Cohen won his only Grammy on a technicality- in 2007, and then it was only as a small part, a spoken word song on the album of the year
which is credited to Herbie Hancock that year.
Leonard was 71 at the time.
So, give Lana another 41 years at least.
Great artiste's never win many awards historically.

Ask Hollywood- being that Cary Grant, Alfred Hitchcock, Richard Burton, Peter O'toole Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Montgomery Clift, all never won an actual acting or directing Oscar and it took Henry Fonda, on his deathbed to finally win one, as he said when they showed him at his home via video, what took them so long?

Like Hollywood legends...they never grow old...

It's been spoken about before in interviews, I believe Dan Auerbach talked about it in one of his.
From what I remember, Interscope hated Ultraviolence and wouldn't release it unless Lana met with a producer (I think it was Paul Epworth?) they wanted her to work with. She showed up late to the meeting, and while they were waiting they played UV for him and he said he loved it & wouldn't change it, but he ended up producing Black Beauty
So I think they hated UV and wanted her to redo it until the guy they wanted to do it said they shouldn't or something idk

Because Interscope want her to fade away, and that's exactly what's happening

the lyrics are ovbiously about Lana herself  Azealia acted the way she did because people were throwing this accusation of her, and AZ has had friends turn against her PLENTY of times, then she obviously asked Lana and they cleared it up what is hard to understand

Has there ever been a single artist who has single handedly spawned so many store brand, try hard, untalented tribute acts as LANA DEL RËY?

This is a serious discussion. Lana has sculpted an entire generation. Artist of the century.
