I haven't got the very slightest idea of what muddy trap energy is but I have a feeling that I'm SO, HERE, FOR THIS. Upbeat Lana is my fav Lana and I sense something kind of raw and powerful I'm so excited I'm a mess

Now that the first rush is passed, listening to it again as extremely beautiful as I think it is, especially the layered vocals and melody, it's a bit too slow for what I would have expected for "honeymoon". Can't wait to hear and see the rest. I'm digging the new aesthetics of the video though. The one that did the edit must be hollering right now haha

Super stupid and creepy but I actually started drinking A LOT more coffee. I hate coffee. Always had. With a passion. But drinking coffee makes me feel for some reasons that I'm a) closer to be around a place where she *could* be aka around coffee b) more susceptible to please her since we have in common that we drink coffee and c) that I may be trying to get her powers by absorbing her magic potion that is coffee. Also, this is even more stupid but I switched drinking Coca Cola to Pepsi purely and simply because of the song. I haven't slept for a day and a half 

Sleepy, but beautiful. (Though that is perhaps her laziest DIY style video.) 
 
The tone and timbre of her voice have always been the biggest draw for me. I could probably listen to an entire album of Lana Mmmm-ing and scatting.

It kind of feels like on one hand the instrumentals are incredible and on the other the layered vocals are perfect but I have a weird feeling they'd be better separated. The military drums in the bridge and the scat gives me intense life.

1. Lana Del Ray. (Link is also further evidence that the album title is just Lana Del Ray, not Lana Del Ray AKA Lizzy Grant. Also, notice the review by "Mickey Knocks": "mostly to do with meeting men, in questionable places". Sounds suspiciously like Mike Mizrahi's Knocks From the Underground review: "mostly to do with meeting men, going to questionable places and having dysfunctional relationships". )
 
2. No, we don't. The only evidence in support of this is that the title "River Road" appeared on her MySpace account along with Sirens track "A Star For Nick" (and other mysterious track names) at least as early as May 28, 2006 and its track length is supposedly the same as "Next to Me". However, if I'm not mistaken, that's based on a scrobbled track length. Given the history of certain Lana traders to falsely scrobble tracks under other track names, I wouldn't read too much into that. Either way, that's a little thin in my opinion.

But do you really think that's the ONLY promo she's doing for the album? I don't even think the era has begun. We know it's 'alive and breathing', but there's nothing really to promo yet. Is she supposed to perform on a late night show when there's no single and no album to promote as of now? As I've said before, the snippets do not make us entitled to get new music right this second.
 
Also, I don't think the instagram is try-hard at all. I think it's just something fun she's doing on the side and honestly, I welcome the little bts posts and extra selfies as opposed to her usual absence. Who cares if she posts 100 selfies a day and 50 pictures of her staff? In the long run, it's not going to make the music come out any faster, so why don't people just chill out and enjoy the fact that she cares enough to even show us these things.
 
And I do care about Lana beyond the music. I think she's interesting and that's why I like interviews and instagram posts and, no, I don't think that makes me delusional at all. I wouldn't spend 5 of my paychecks and travel to see her if I only liked her for her music.

Super like it. I would prefer this as the official than the current one. I don't like how cluttered and busy the official one look, this is much more stripped-back and clean and easily understandable. She should hire you. Congrats that's an amazing job!

I'm an art student and my work is super inspired by Lana but in a subtle way I guess. I made several drawings from Lana candids but I haven't drawn her properly yet. I did Barrie though. He liked it on Instagram, I feel blessed 
 
 
 
Two of my pieces are from the Malibu hotel candids from January 2014, probably one of my very dearest looks of her. It's kind of a new and different style for me though, still not sure I'm that into it. Sorry the pics are really big!!!
 
 
 
 
Also one of my installation is kind of me trying to summon Lana's ghost... It's pretty fake deep and weird to explain but here's some pics. Sorry about the "Lanz" part haha. I'm really fascinated by the fact that only I, those who know who I talk about and get the references, and Lana herself but that's not even sure, would get the reference and crack the real meaning of the piece. I'm writing my thesis on this. I'm sorry this seems so artsty-fartsy by no means do I want to appear more highbrow or any other shit. But it was my first real public exhibition and I'm very glad Lana was the biggest inspiration.

Actually I agree with you. I get super hyped and excited everytime something happens but in the end I'm not worried at all. She can even release it next year, I wouldn't mind at all. I'll really take what she wants to give. Even if I don't end up liking the result.
