    I love the irony

Same people who chastise Lana for not doing promo and appearances and stuff

want more leaks, which of course don't have any promo, appearances and stuff

Me, I just want more, more more music as much as I greedily can listen to

All I want to do is get high by the beach or driving in my car, and cranking up the volume

    (now continue fighting)

    @atticus 1376- that is funny.

I was listening again to all the BBC lounge versions of the Honeymoon album

I love that all of them are done even slower and the arrangements they use for that

If the next album were all like that (even slower) it would be great

The version of Honeymoon, to me, sounds like Led Zeppelin in the slow build a classic rock song like Stairway to heaven has
(it don't need to be fast to achieve it)

It is amazing and no one else has ever done this before Lana

to those that don't say anything nice about Honeymoon the album, it is a deep infectious slow groove opera
and her voice in the lounge is well, simply amazing. Words can't describe it.

Same with her version a few years ago of the Kasabian song, Goodbye Kiss, which I think any hater of Lana should be required to listen to 100 times in a row.
    And then say something negative.
Would love her to record that song, it is 100% unknown in America. (For those who haven't heard it, go to youtube and listen).

it all goes back to what she sang and lectured people in "Americans"
"Everyone wants to go fast but they can't compare
I don't eally want the rest, only you can take me there
    I don't even know what I'm saying..."

which later on, Leonard Cohen in a recent album had a song called "Slow"
    "I'm slowing down the tune
    I never liked it fast
You want to get there soon
I want to get there last"

Someone above bitched about Lana forgetting a lyric or the band not having rehearsed a song.

Recently, Bruce Springsteen (I am sure you all have heard of him), let the world in on a secret I know I wasn't aware of.
Bruce can sing any song in the world on stage, the band knows all the chords, thousands and thousands.

    Wanna know why???

Because he has someone in the production area who hears the crowd call out a song, Bruce gives a cue (and in advance knows it will start in 30 seconds),
and on the teleprompter he and the band has, voila, the lyrics and chords show up. Sometimes Bruce does solo, sometimes the band.
But Bruce has the lyrics of anything.
No wonder in Australia when someone yelled for him to sing "Royals" by Lorde, he and the band were able to do it.

    My heart sank. It's cheating.

Lana sings from the heart on stage, no one can memorize lyrics of their entire list of songs even though she wrote it.
It's like asking DiCaprio to recite the entire lines from Titanic years later.

    Which would people have?

I would rather not have people reading it, but singing it from the heart. Miss a few lyrics? So what, it shows its live andnot lip synched like some of the dance acts
that do cartwheels and then people think they can still sing upside down.

And with just a band, and not an orchestra, or not with strings, one cannot recreate as it is done on album, those strings or woods or whatever.

"So I push record and watch you leave"

You can't do that on stage, but creating in the studio,
    wow

would love to see her sessions deconstructed like they did in the documentary of the Wrecking Crew, and also in the recent Brian Wilson movie, showing
an entire song, and how it was done, one section at a time

(and needing either a full orchestra on stage, or having music piped in

(Elton needs to do that of course, on Funeral For a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding).

    @@Subversive-
Nope, she has since said it was a stand alone.

Though it enabled BTD to stay on the charts to this day as it combined the sales

Technically, Six will be the Fifth Lana Del Rey album as AKA is not a Lana Del Rey album at all.

BTW- does it seem like anything Lana could do first is stolen by Gaga before Lana gets a chance to do it
(The Tony Bennett duet album should have been and would have been more appropriate for Lana,
and well, Gaga calling her album Joanne (and even signing autographs as Joanne) means that if Lana wanted to release a Lizzy
Grant record, people would say Lana was copying Gaga even though it is the other way around
    (Yayo  Ayo )
It's as if the record company is leaking her.

    I disagree

    Elizabeth vs. Lana
battle for the soul of Ms. Grant

stardom vs. life without being stalked

Boys=a music term referencing the players in a band, (studio musicians, band) who play behind the voice (Lana, Ms. Grant)

Lana has always said she wants a collective songwriters/singer  much like was done in the 1960s, and is done by songwriters and studio musicians in Nashville and Los Angeles
(see:The Wrecking Crew), so much like someone similar to Lana,  the legendary Brian Wilson.

Where the point is not touring, not publicity, not promo, but in the creation of each gem. The process itself (much like Brian Wilson for decades stopped touring altogether and let the others tour without him, and much like the legendary part of the Beatles, they stopped touring and only created in the studio with what were the first videos ever.
(and where some fans of the Beatles wanted them to revert to the early Beatles, even though they became immortal due to the 2nd half of their short existence together.)

Lana has taken this song, that was written specifc for (but not by) Nina Simone, and was a hit for the Animals and Santa Esemeralda

somewhat taking the first two versions, and making the song her own.

He phrasing and her meaning is specific to her.

She is directly describing herself in these lyrics.

And it is alternatively heart breaking but redeeming, and affirmative, and asking those who are listening not to listen to any negativity and keep moving wherever she takes us

Which is pretty cool if you ask me.

    PARADISE
Lana herself considers Paradise a stand-alone

and in all respects including the charts, it is separate. And it is a concept album from cut 1 to the end.

An EP is 3 songs. Paradise is full length.
And in the official record book, is considered a Top 10 Album in the book of Top 200 albums.

I'm going to have to agree with @graham4anything (and find the receipts), because she said at one point that she considered Paradise a standalone in its own right. It's not a full length record according to her and the label, but it stands alone apart from the other records.

it's 270 and if no one reached it, the NEW house would vote for the President, the NEW Senate the VP
so the House would pick a Republican if the Republicans keep the house

But there is no way to not reach 270 in a 2 party system. and the election is Nov.8 (early voting already started), the electoral college meets in December, and if it went to congress it would
be after the new congress is seated in January.

Hillary easily shall reach it and the Democratic party should re-take the Senate, and has an outside change (due to the horrible gerrymandering done by Republicans in 2010) of the house.
The Republicans have a finite # of voters and always try in modern times to somehow get people not to vote
The Democratic party has an infinite # of voters, the trick is getting them to vote, especially in mid-terms

If 100% of the people voted, and their votes were counted as voted, there would never be another Republican in office.

    How cool would that be!

It is safe to assume, after the disgusting pig remarks that abuse and offend all, especially women that were revealed yesterday, the race for the Presidency is over.
The betting markets are now 82-18 for Hillary.
In a country where women are the majority and majority voters, Donald Trump again proves he doesn't have the temperament to be President.
His apology was a joke too, mumbles a couple of words then re-ignites it further.

Republicans are running away from him and there are a few calls for him to quit (which won't happen), and the process at this late date means ballots are in the mail, hundreds of thousands of people already voted  there is no process available to legally do
    any change!

Which is really cool by me. IMHO he never stood a chance, but this just about insures it.

and no, not every male says or does that as some of his people are trying to say. I know I don't.

Obviously a Democratic person in a 2016 time period.
Her whole life and lifestyle is 100% liberal Democratic in USA terms.
Transcending female in a male world.
The biggest comparison would be- The Eleanor Roosevelt of the music world. (And in 2016, Hillary is the closest thing to Eleanor Roosevelt, who could NOT become President back in the 1930s.

the mistake people make is thinking being patriotic is limited to the Ronald Reagan buffoons in the Republican party just because they hijacked the terms in the 1980s.

Loving the country has nothing to do with being  a Republican, who in today's Republican  love of their own ego (Trump and the 21 has beens that challenged for the Republican nomination all offered zero and nothing and just vomited patriotic words that actually have nothing to do with anything at all.

Republicans are all about hate of others, hate of religion not theirs, hate of Blacks, Mexicans, Gays,Jews (note that in 2014 the Republicans danced when Senator(Republican) Cantor was primaried out of office by a draconian tea party candidate, Cantor was the last Jewish Republican in congress).

The 2016 Republicans are avidly going after the KKK of the 1950s David Duke/Ron Paul racist voters and attempting to move everything back to before
LBJ thanks to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. signed the Civil Rights/Voting Rights acts and the period WHERE WOMEN THEMSELVES COULD NOT VOTE IN AMERICA

It was only 96 years ago now that women "were allowed to vote" in the USA.

Elizabeth / Lana, wanting to be "one of the boys" in a society where in the past has never been possible is indeed one of the most liberal statements one can make.

Ride, the song, the video, is perhaps the closest thing proving that (and not the reverse).

The only surprise is that 100% of America doesn't embrace the same thing.

And religiously, Jesus himself was a liberal, no question about it.
    Helping the poorest.

Republicans in US hijack religion, yet almost none of them practice what they preach, nor do they act in any way like it

Look how Lana seems to be the one that cares for both her sister and brother, and her sense of artistic collective goes to the 1960s liberal and liberalism
of the NYC or San Francisco artistic community, the folk music scene, the poetry readings, etc.
(note- one thing different from the 60s to now is that there were liberal Republicans in the 1960s, but in elected politics in 2016, there is zero room for liberals
    in the Republican party.

Don't let them fool you- Love of the country, love of the flag is LIBERAL

Donald Trump for instance spits on the concept of America. Just listen to his statement he made a few months ago,
AMON GOETH of Stephen Spielberg's Holocaust movie Schindler's List comes to mind, when Donald Trump said he could come out of his 5th avenue penthouse and literally shoot someone, and none of his hard-line supporters would stop supporting him. Think about- what a God Damn anti-America statement is that?
