  1. yikes i mean she's always idolized glitz and glam like the kennedy's so this isn't too surprising. not the best look though after everything that's been exposed recently it's a rich person supporting a rich family, not really surprising at this point
  2. I did a sign language interpretation to this song for my class and it was literally so beautiful through ASL. There is so much vivid imagery in the song so it's pretty easy to present through ASL storytelling.
  3. So COCC's been released for quite a while now and yeah, I think this is the first Lana album that I haven't obsessively listened to after its release other than WD, DTWD, TJF personally no a big fan of this contemporary folk/country direction (which btw, I would barely consider NFR folk outside Bartender and maybe MAC). I think partly this is because I was expecting something alt-country like Mazzy Star or even Cowboy Junkies. I certainly don't think this is completely Jack's fault though, I think a lot of these production/genre choices are Lana's as well. Judging from her concerts in Texas and touring around with Nikki Lane I think her sound is just gonna delve more into country which I'm not too excited about but it's what I'm expecting at this point for RCS
  4. i still think west coast is a top UV song, just inferior to mainly SoC and Cruel World SoC is an amazing trip idk
  5. imo west coast is *okay* when compared to shades of cool (!!!!), cruel world (!!), brooklyn baby, flipside..hate to admit it but i'm not the biggest fan of the g-funk synth..
  6. Cruel World - 44 - Ultraviolence - 25 Shades of Cool - 62 + West Coast - 63 - Pretty When You Cry - 48
  7. i love how she went from reusing lyrics to reusing instrumental segments looking forward to her sample of DTWD's bridge on RCS
  8. Norman Fucking Rockwell: 17 Mariners Apartment Complex: 20 Venice Bitch: 19 (+) Fuck it I love you: 16 Love Song: 3 Cinnamon Girl: 15 (-) California: 21 The Greatest: 18 Bartender: 6 Happiness is a Butterfly: 2 hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have: 9

  10. In retrospect Lana telling Azealia to get a new psychiatrist and psych drug cocktail was a bit especially since I’m like 99% sure Lana would go ham if someone said that to her. obviously I lean towards Lana’s side in that debate and I know Azealia said a bunch of nasty horrid stuff to her but out of all the things she could’ve criticized her on, she chose her mental health uh could’ve just said “at least I didn’t bite a night guard’s nipple like you” or something and left it at that
  11. not me scrolling thru all of this in the middle of class newayz i would love a purple era for RCS but imagine a mixture of the popular rock candies like pink, blue, red, yellow, etc
  12. i just know that RCS (title track) has the possibility to be a 20 minute opus
  13. anyways RCS will be the VB/MAC dream pop neopsych slowcore alt country album lana wanted NFR to be <3
  14. imagining an album full of VB-MAC and now i'm depressed
  15. since he failed to produce a VB 2.0 I'm over Jack kevin shields collab when?
  16. something about white gays saying that what she said wasn't racist to POC always hit me the wrong way
  17. I love the complexities of Yosemite tbh it sounds very pastoral and new age-y almost, which really matches with the witchy vibe LFL originally was going to have. Reminds me of Simon and Garfunkel almost (something like Scarborough Fair - which makes sense since she samples it in Cherry). Also I swear I hear a flute but I don’t see it in the credits?
  18. dream pop shoegaze for the first album, trip hop in the vein of dark but just a game for the second wow i can't wait for these underrated gems
