I actually like LFL (the song) but, for whatever reason whenever I listen to it I get really emotional...mess I like the photoshoots we've gotten this era but with the music we've gotten so far, I feel it doesn't match up that well and this era not having a specific theme doesn't help. For example: UV had a pretty consistent look, but it wasn't to a point where it got boring. The photoshoots in the era (including magazines and what not) were all able to evoke what UV was giving out. I could go through almost any of the shoots and somehow be able to match it to a song. I could probably say the same for BTD/P. This era, so far hasn't really done that for me. I understand we're not even that far into this era, but with the songs we've heard so far just doesn't match up with the visuals and photoshoots.

I see what you mean and it probably wasn't the best example lmao, but I still think it's overall a much better photo than the one we have on LFL as in the factors on it outweigh lot of things that I disliked about Chuck's photo. And the pose on the LFL cover combined with how she's smiling reminds me of an ID or yearbook photo which is probably why I find it so cheesy looking.

If she is changing it, I'll be really happy I really like the concept of the cover- it being reminiscent of Born to Die, but also being the opposite. But I just couldn't bring myself to fully love the album cover. Her smile just seemed forced, her makeup wasn't that great, and the overall photo was okay at best - I've said it before and I'll say it again, it looks like a screenshot from the Love video pasted in front of a Green Trunk and was just way too clumped together. I'll always love how Nicole captured Lana's smile, for example: There is one thing though, that I really want and that's her iconic font. I wouldn't mind if she did what she did with HM and had her name in the original font and then the album title in another. Nevertheless, I hope what we get is good.

Honestly as much as I hope LFL beats the UV era and BTD era for me, it won't. I can't say that in terms of music, as we haven't heard the full album yet, but when it comes to everything else, then yeah. The Love video had some amazing visuals, Lust for Life was... cute, but they're not magical for me. There's something missing that made the BTD & UV (or at least SOC, for sure) videos so iconic. BTD and UV's visuals were consistent, even for photoshoots. BTD was able to present the gangsta nancy sinatra and sultry retro style very well through beautiful attire, makeup, big hair or curls. UV's, although more laid back, the t shirts, ripped jeans, eyeliner under the eyes, the dresses, somehow were all able to contribute back to the music and how she was presenting herself - I'm not sure the exact words to describe it, but I'm sure some of you can figure out what I mean. The photoshoots this era are nice, but I feel like I'm not able to connect it with the music we've gotten so far. The music itself for those eras, were able to captivate me. I felt a connection to the lyrics and the sound, this era I don't. It doesn't mean I don't like what we've gotten so far, but I just don't feel the connection, at least compared to her other singles. The way the album is being released, is terrible. I don't mind the wait, but I lost most of my hype a long time ago. And I HATE that she hasn't released an album sampler. The one's for UV and HM got me excited, they gave a taste of what the era was going to be like visually and musically. lmao sorry for my rambling, but I do hope that my opinion changes in the future

I just want to get this off my mind but, the people on Twitter commenting about the album when Marina's trying to spread the word/help on a tragedy (I'm referring to her posts on Grenfell Tower) are disrespectful to both Marina as well as the victims and make me sick.

I know we're already getting 18 (maybe even more) songs, but I really hope we get an edition to the album like we did with BTD. It makes sense to me mostly because this album is almost like a mature BTD in a way?? Lust for Life which contradicts BTD's title, the album cover with her smiling on it instead of pouting while also being in front of a green truck and a blue sky, plus I do think there is a point where there might be too many songs for one record and she said there were a lot of songs left off on her instagram post, so to me it would just make sense to have an added Lust for Life () edition instead of trying to pack everything down into one record (i mean ill give her my coins but the physical releases are gonna be a hefty amount of money). idek what i'm talking about im just a tired hot mess that wants more songs and dont want any to be snubbed from vinyl releases like burning desire, flipside and is this happiness. Also she really needs to stop filming while she's driving

Ok, but what was this ben's pathetic attempt to lie to us? He could have easily just said the album is delayed until July 21st b/c Lana wanted to add things or something rather than just tell us the album was unfinished altogether and not give any indication of a date considering we had it in Paris Match and they went of their way to edit it out of the Ted thing. Maybe he really was unsure or he just didn't want to take anymore heat from Lana fans, either way unprofessional. What a mess.

I'd love for it to be a mix of the UV and Paradise boxset, but it'd probably be super expensive and just unrealistic . I'd want the boxset to have a theme that's more similar to the LFL album trailer We get an exclusive 12" picture disc with deluxe tracks (if we even get any) and possibly a different coverart A 7" picture disc ( especially if we have a situation like flipside/is this happiness/burning desire not getting any vinyl pressings what so ever, so maybe for like coachella and another song). CD with an actual lyric booklet (or I wouldn't mind the photobook thing HM had again if the photoshoot is good). The usual art prints * I'd hope we'd get something cute like a poster, shirt, or jewelry but.. a fan can dream

It must be heartbreaking and devastating for parents to let their child go to a concert to have a good time or calling someone to see if they're okay and not have them pick up. I'm just in shock, I don't even know what to say right now.

I enjoyed it a lot, even though it was quite simple and cute, but it's not revolutionary. I just don't feel connected to these videos like I did with the BTD era ones and SOC, if that makes any sense. There's just something missing.

Wouldn't a July release make the album more susceptible to leaks um Anyways, the video is so cute, I enjoyed it a lot even though it was quite simple and it actually made me like the song more.

The only logical thing I can think of right now for a May 26th release is if with the LFL video she drops the pre-order, I think it would create a good amount of hype for the album. Plus with all the magazines and Coachella- WIMM coming out about a week ago, now would be the time.
