  1. in all honesty his videos have gotten very lack luster anyways imo. he doesn't really have an expanded music taste as his reactions are mainly just mainstream pop, which is fine, but i really wish he'd give other genres a chance.

I'm bitter that we never got and will probably never get the Bubblebath EP pressed on vinyl as so far I'm not feeling her newer music.
  3. Definitely. It's exciting to hear another voice on her record once in a while, even if it's just something as simple as in Brooklyn Baby's. However, I hope the amount of collabs wouldn't overpower the record.
  4. if there's going to be a OU exclusive vinyl and the Pretty When You Cry video
  5. I wish she'd do a Q&A in a livestream (like Marina did with FAQin Hell) since not all of us live in LA and because some of us aren't going to ask pretentious questions that could easily be avoided.
  6. https://twitter.com/lanadreycrew/status/890289746613854209 Although, imo, this has a very unlikely chance of happening, what songs do you think would be put on it? Or what songs do you think should be put on there?
  7. Are You Satisfied? - 18 Shampain - 13 I Am Not a Robot - 19 Girls - 16 Mowgli's Road - 18 Obsessions - 21 Hollywood - 14 The Outsider - 17 Hermit the Frog - 16 Oh No! - 20 Numb - 23 The Family Jewels - 16 Seventeen - 12
  8. blue jeans- i like the live versions but i cant stand that stupid ass screaming "blue jeans SHO white shirt SHO"
  9. why does this teaser look better than the lust for life video
  10. I'm tired of Cruel World being an opener for her shows.
  11. I think she should do 4 songs from LFL (Heroin, please!) 3 songs from UV (No Cruel World, it's gotten old as an opener imo and well possibly remove UV the song, or at least switch it up once in a while.) 3-4 songs from BTD/P (I'd love Million Dollar Man, Gods & Monsters, or Body Electric to make a return. Again I wish she'd switch it up more with this album), and 3-2 songs from HM (Religion/TBD, Art Deco, etc.) Yes, remove Serial Killer as well. It's not a bad song, but it's not as exciting as it was during the Endless Summer Tour. I really wish she'd take some emphasis off of BTD and put some on the new album (and her other ones). It's so tiring hearing the same stuff over and over again.
  12. LFL: - An actual album shoot (not just bts of the Love video). - Make this era have more specific imagery as it's a bit all over the place. - Have coachella be more acoustic - Release Yosemite, RBFY, BAR, etc. as an EP similar to what she did with Paradise. - Have there be a vinyl boxset similar to UV's - Make the LFL video...better??? It's really lacking - Change Love's production Honeymoon: - Video for Art Deco or Salvatore - Release the Honeymoon video instead of just having the lyric sheet - Make an actual video for Freak instead of just reusing old UV footage. Perhaps a double feature with Art Deco - Make the color scheme of the era more pink, lilac, and blue (these colors just remind me of the album lol). - Similar boxset to UV's again - I'm indifferent on the cover art, tbh. I think she should have just kept the one Chuck did for the billboard and have a different one. I still think the OU version her hand looks a bit weird so maybe a different angle or something. In terms of music for both of them, I really wouldn't change much. They're both amazing.
  13. This era is a fucking trainwreck in terms of aesthetic. I have no idea what the hell she was trying to go for and I know I sound super aggressive, but looking back at her previous eras it's just like...what happened? UV, for me, remains her best. The attire, the photoshoots, the music it all mashed up so well together. It was able to bring out a specific theme that suits the era so nice. I don't know if it was just pure luck, but I look back at almost any UV shoot and it just speaks the era, if that makes sense. It's a shame how short lived it was, though. As for BTD, all I'll say is it was a well done, exciting era, especially it being done for 2 years. We had so many magazine shoots, interviews, performances, and some of her best music videos to date. The aesthetic, while not being as specific as UV, did have a theme that could range from gangsta nancy sinatra, to a glamorous moody siren, to a soft melancholy nostalgia of 50's/60's americana. It suits Lana wonderfully. I could never say the same for this era. It's confusing what she's trying to go for here. The album is wonderful, but the era is not the full package is what I'm trying to get at here. I don't even know what the hell I'm talking about anymore so I'm just gonna take a nap, but overall, I agree with everything you said.
  14. I love BTD but seriously I wish she'd start mixing up her setlist a bit more. Even some Paradise songs (that aren't Cola) would be nice.
  15. I'd kill for her outfit in summertime sadness, I'm referring to this one: I've loved it for years, but never got around to finding it. Is it custom?
  16. Her videos have lost their magic and I honestly don't think it's going to come back. Before you come @ me, it's not that her newer videos are "bad" they're just not as captivating or memorable. Her BTD era videos (and SOC), are much, much more enchanting, they're beautiful and iconic. Love's visuals were stunning, LFL was...cute, HM's videos are nice, but they're just missing something. They almost, dare I say, bore me after watching them more than once. Also, since I'm on the topic of MV's, I can't stand watching Freak just knowing it was the original UV video. Like, no matter how much editing goes in, it will always fit UV better. I wish somehow, all the recording done for it or just the video itself (if it was edited) would leak. Only in my dreams.

    Melanie Martinez

Crybaby did not age well as both the album and the entire baby concept, it's as stale as a graham cracker left behind by a 3 year old under a car seat.
  18. Hopefully I did this right, but, I wanted to make this for a while as I find it to be an interesting topic of discussion. I was gonna wait until we got conformation on whether or not there will be a LFL OU edition and I just got impatient lol.
  19. a disappointing boxset combined with a mediocre photoshoot. why use 2 photos that are being used for the coverart and tracklist art, have a close up of another photo that's already being used... what kind of mess....
  20. I'm really fucking disappointed with the album photoshoot. We only got 4 photos of Lana, 2 of which we've already seen. The photos themselves, are imo, okay at best, but I can't stand the one with her hand on her hip, her face looks really weird. Plus it being just a BTS of Love....yikes... What the hell happened to the one with her in the Blue sweater from her instagram? Looking back at BTD and UV's, we had so many photos and a variety of outfits that all managed to be cohesive. I feel like the album photoshoot should have been something like this: http://bridalmusings.com/2014/09/hollywood-glamour-new-inbal-dror-collection-part-1/ I think it'd fit well considering the Hollywood sign, looking down to the city, the car, it feels very Lana esque to me.
  21. I've listened to a few songs (WTWWAWWKD, 13 Beaches, Tomorrow Never Came, Heroin) and let me just say, those songs alone just...wowowow. I'll wait until the 21st for the rest of the album or at least I'll try. I hope she gets #1, she deserves it - plus I'm petty with Tyler the Creators tweet. Also, do we have any news of a OU exclusive? I think someone on here emailed them. I just don't want to make the same mistake with the Honeymoon vinyl.
