what if i say that love is lana's best music video, or at least her best music video from her recent years. because look at those aesthetics, it's like an old-school sci-fi movie, the use of black & white and then colors. it makes me wish it was an actual movie. the promotional campaign was beautiful for this.
I think she should just leave visuals to experts at this point… her music videos are getting worse and worse… amazing how well crafter the CB MV were in opposed to the Portals ones (with more budget)
When it comes to the music, I will say the unreleased stuff was much more interesting to me than the released. The rock vibe just isn’t for her in my opinion… it was cute on Function and Evil but I think she excels more with ambient / trap production! Some of the best songs in this era being Tunnel Vision, Garden, Dragons Blood, Void (demo), Contortionist and Needle & Thread
on the other hand, I don’t agree the CB persona is what went wrong with her… if done right, the concept could have been much more interesting and could go on for a couple more albums. The problem is her writting, her concepts get more and more uninspired and the lyrics are straight up cringe. An example of that is After School, she didn’t follow a character there yet it stays her worst effort to date for me

As you all know, sharing links to copyrighted material intended for release is strictly against our rules, but unreleased material is sort of a grey area. It's that time of year again! Our annual Lipsters Awards is our website's own awards ceremony where we all come together to honour all the members, music, moments, memories, and messiness that make our community what it is.
I am pleased to announce that voting is NOW OPEN from today until January 17th at 11:59PM ET. The official awards ceremony will take place the evening of Saturday, January 18th at 5pm ET with our red carpet beginning an hour beforehand - so clear your calendars for the festivities!
Below, you will see a list of this year's 39 categories (5 new categories are being introduced this year!) and a brief description of what each award entails. For this voting period, please visit the link below and vote for your top nominee in each category. (Note: Once you submit your votes, please comment that you have done so or DM @admin as only one voting ticket is permitted per member, and this ensures that votes are submitted fairly.)
If you can't think of enough votes, please try your best and submit all that you can! You all have a little over two weeks to come up with your votes, so please feel free to take your time to consider who/what you would like to vote for. I have not made it mandatory for every field to be completed, and although it is highly encouraged that you try to submit votes for each category, I have done this so all feel comfortable submitting votes even if you aren't familiar enough with our member base to nominate for every category. Also, for those who wish to be voted for, please feel free to continue your campaigns below, or campaign for other members you think deserve some awards!

This is the first of the five new awards we've added this year! A member's signature gives a deeper insight into who they are. Whether it be their favourite quote or lyric, carefully selected imagery to match their profile picture, a graphic they designed themselves, or just something they feel truly defines them, the Best Signature award will honour whose signature you admire seeing after every post they make.

Even I myself can't deny that I have at times turned off viewing signatures because some members' signature are just way too much to tolerate. Whether it be a catastrophe of multiple gifs that slows down page loading, a certain artist you despise that you can't stand seeing after every post a member makes, or any other general eyesore, the new Worst Signature award will give that member a hint that perhaps it is time to switch their signature, or just get rid of it completely.
