Breezy balladry with lots of texture and whimsy? Don't really care if you're "real" or not, the concept is still orgasmic nonetheless and I urge you to share more
-
I wish she'd work with Auerbach again. Even if the result isn't as bombastic () as UV, the textures of that album are so divine
-
idc how technically perfect her vocals are, songs like Beautiful, VFR, and Arcadia are utter snoozefests
-
sorry if this has been answered but do we have stems for any of her work? I would love to hear isolated instrumental stems (guitar, bass, drums) etc. and make some edits!
-
Hate to say I don't use anything on BB anymore besides Dealer.... the album is still good though just my least favorite she's ever put out. I would love her to come back with something more punchy and deliberate
-
I see their point. Like yeah duh it's not a complete cover, it's an interpolation that (heavily) uses the same chorus melody in a non-inventive way... the whole song felt stale on arrival because of this for me.

Obsessed with everything from Inbred and the new single... she really is giving me everything Lana hasn't for the past 5 or so years. I'm trying to get more into her - I listened to Golden Age and the immediate standouts for me where Knuckle Velvet and Head In The Wall. Out of curiosity, does Luke have anything to do with the production of her songs? Not asking because of moral issues, I just genuinely don't think he has the range to produce such eerily beautiful music I'm assuming the Luke connection stems from Lil Aaron sort of taking her under his wing

I can pretend that I’m fine with more Ambien induced balladry but tbh I’m very bored if it Give us some fire Lana! Yes

I think interestingly it was only the really hardcore fans that were critical of the era before the album dropped, myself included and honestly yeah I am still very disappointed with the project. But once the album came out and it got more buzz, playlisting, the possibility of a number 1 debut, decent reviews, etc. the typical main pop girl type of excitement and hype, I think a wider audience tuned in and some stans are genuinely happy for her (myself included). I also think saving songs like Lightening, Crash, and Constant Repeat (although the latter imo is quite undertake but definitely melodically much more on par quality wise of her previous releases) for the album release was smart move because it sort of allowed for some "resolution" of sorts for disappointed stans who missed the more edgy Charli. Not sure if you're familiar with Alaska Reid (AG Cook's girlfriend whom he produces for) but imo it sounds like a leftover from one of her projects

1. Crash 2. New Shapes 3. Good Ones 4. Constant Repeat 5. Selfish Girl 6. HCINKWINRN 7. Baby 8. Lightening 9. Every Rule 10. Twice 11. Sorry If I Hurt This track listing would have made the album go from a 6.5/10 for me to a 8/10

Honestly, I hope the 2 mediocre songs she put out appear on the EP along with the other sub par snippets she teased and the album(s) are of actual quality
-
It was said somewhere that these tracks are newer and weren't initially finished by deadline for physical release right? Like they're not just scraps/leftovers... because hopefully quality won't be lower

giving Disney show cancelled after 2nd season
-
did constant repeat replace it?

This album is truly such a mixed bag Overall I’m pretty underwhelmed because there’s about 3 songs I truly enjoy (Crash, Lightening, Good Ones and mayyyybe Baby though it’s kinda boring) and want to listen to regularly and the whole thing just doesn’t sound cohesive… I don’t even need her to work with just AG but I wish only 3 producers worked on this album because the result is very hodgepodge and not cohesive Personally, my least favorite thing ever from Charli and I’d rank it a 6/10

Yuck and UTKM sound like Ava Max, Zara Larsson, Raye, Rita Ora bland pop girly H&M Spotfiy generated pop playlist tracks
-
they don't sound like demos, they are HQ and match the lengths of the finals... EDIT: yes they are demos
-
I think my issue with most these songs is you basically know what the whole song sounds like after 10 seconds
-
It's kind of bland and I don't see myself listening to it again really, yeah this era just doesn't do it for sonically but I'm glad she's having fun
-
Well that was boring. Guess all the budget was spent on Good Ones They could have at least gave us some close ups of her with some sensual body touching, camera stares, different room or at least angle, outfit switch... lemme stop. Anyways, appreciate the cute lil gesture of a video for a promo single
-
Objectively, this is good but tbh melodically and "mood" wise it's a little too light and fluffy for me personally. That said, I really like it and appreciate what she's doing here! Good Ones > New Shapes = Baby > Beg For You I wish Beg For You had been scrapped because so far all the other singles work so well together and BFY sticks out like a (bland) soar thumb
-
I've never been crazy about deluxe albums but if she throws some stream pulling features on (K-Pop stars and other fads) then I totally support
-
I hate to say it but I would be very happy if she scrapped everything and started from scratch. POG was bad, SG is nice but just doesn't hit the way a Grimes song should

I can acknowledge NFT's are damaging but SJWs please just shut up.
