i feel like bootlegs are more popular among artists of the past, like during the 20th century, or other genres, like rock, not so much pop or pop-adjacent musicians

 

at least we have tons of unreleased songs and demos

It's really sweet, but I tried searching for the source of it and cannot find where she said this outside of the TikToks made to the audio of her speaking. Because, no shade to Lana, she isn’t really a live performer. The point of bootlegs is that when you artists that are so talented with their instruments (piano, guitar, or even voice), their live renditions of songs are alternative versions in their own right.

 

Lana doesn’t play any instruments live and her voice is very rarely good in a stadium setting to the point anyone would wanna record it 

 

now, a different thing was her Lizzy Grant day. I can see an intimate, live show of AKA/Sirens songs (guitar and voice driven tracks) being bootlegged. But stadium dates where she hardly sings? Nah.

 

plus as someone else has mentioned bootleg is kind of a lost art, people nowadays don’t really bootleg their artists for a number of reasons

are there any lossless versions of A.K.A? like straight from the master? are they available rn?

what would be considered as A.K.A. outtakes? songs from 2007 to when the album was released or to when the album was postponed to 2010? for example are songs like Vicarage or Hawaiian Tropic considered from A.K.A?

she has SO many gems, personally i prefer the ones that sound more "finished" but i really appreciate hearing different lyrics/melodies used in different songs. she's so genius for that, and its so cool to witness!
