Lana covers Vogue Italia's November Issue

Call me crazy, don’t know how to make new threads in here but I have a theory after I read this interview. To me it looks like a subtle/not-so-subtle tease that there is indeed a LDR documentary movie in the making and Sofia Coppola is heavily connected/maybe directing.:raven:

We know Chuck been documenting the tour, her life, they apparently lost a lot of footage but she mentioned it in the text. She also said how she would start a movie on her own and how she would also make one by herself. Why mention that? We know she is extra picky so I can see her choosing someone as Coppola to show her world.  On the next page she’s praising Coppola and her artistry and the view, calling The Virgin Suicides her favourite movie. Call me delusional or crazy, don’t care, I think I am right… She’s been working on it, and she’s been working on it for some time now.

This is her second Vogue cover, following her first shot by Steven Klein in 2019. “Back then, I wondered if those photos would have been approved by Franca Sozzani and Francesco (Carrozzini, whom she dated from 2014 to 2015, ed.).” She smiles.

I put this in the other thread but realise it's a lot more appropriate here:

This is heavily reminding me of her W magazine interview from 2023, when there was a "as yet untitled album" and she just gave a vibe update, talking about her process with the automatic singing. And we thought it would be a whole album of voice notes but it turned into a whole grand opus. So im really excited about this vibe update, the fact that it's unfolding as we speak is very exciting. I don't mind waiting if it means we'll get an album that she can stand behind, cuz you know she'll put in the effort for us in return with visuals and stuff

Someone under LanaBoards instagram latest post speculated the same thing btw!

Pantene said that the secret non-Lasso project was music related, so idk.

Watch her still perform 50-60% of her festival set lists with BTD songs even if she feels some level of dissonance with them. :oic2:

I just want her to perform Gods and Monsters again, even though she doesn't identify with it any more D:

Omg, immediately knew the photographer is Meisel when I saw the pics. He's always been one of my favorite photographers, so great he captured Lana now 😍 I only hope there are more photos inside than only 3. The cover is so fantastic. She looks like a mixture of various Hollywood stars, including some Hitchcock ladies ❤️

It was expensive watch it

"That’s what love is, like the scene from Cat People in which the actress says something like it’s just you and me, and as long as we’re here, there’s hope. “Most of the people I met wanted Hollywood to be the third part in our relationship. When I get married, it’ll be to someone who, like me, believes that love is enough. I’ll be enough for him, and he’ll be enough for me. Someone to have children with if that happens, or just friends. I want it to be simple, I need to be with someone who wants to plan to stay home with me. Love is to be saved and that’s magic.”

Sometimes love is not enough and the road gets tough I don’t know why

I’m not sure if anyone else already mentioned this but this parallel is making me extremely emotional rn :trisha:

I love the photos so much - very 60s, very on brand with Milan as a fashion capital in the midcentury.

The interview is also full of so much insight and it’s interesting to see her psyche shift with her own geography. She reminds me of Joan Didion in that way; so much of what they both write is coloured by the surrounding landscape.

I like the idea of Lana’s “eras” being classified according to geography. I think what we, at this point in time, might call her “Golden Age” is the period during which she released those California albums. She flirted with the heartland a little bit on Chemtrails and Blue Banisters, almost inching towards it, but never quite getting there. Ocean Blvd, to me, transcended its geography and even returned to California at times. It now appears that this upcoming record—whether its final title will be Lasso or not—will mark a more pronounced geographical shift to her new home in the South and will usher in a new way of operating that is characteristic of the region.

I watched Cat People a few days ago, so seeing her mention it is pretty crazy. It's a beautiful film :trisha: can't recommend it enough.

I’ve never seen it but I love the actress in it, Natassja Kinski. She kind of looks like Lana!
