I don't care what anyone says, I am extremely excited for this album still and just I know it's going to be a moving work of art :true:

January has been awful so I'm not surprised she's been silent. February will be our time :oprah5:

I like your optimism, we need that

first week of january... sure:aubrey:

so can we finally stop trusting self proclaimed insiders now :eyeroll4:

Lana prereleases are generally very quick. Typically there is only 3 months between lead single and the album, so if she sticks to the end of May the single will likely be next month, but personally I think March is more likely.

I think we just have to remember that Stagecoach is only 93 days so if we can hold out until then we are good:aubrey:

I was really inspired this past hour and made an edit for The Right Person Will Stay inspired by the aesthetics of Southern Gothic. Although, the edit is not really good:

An alternate version:

Then, I also made one for There Were Stories Of A Church In The Forest Up North if it was a title:

Watch this being added to Genius "TRPWS tracklist"

Since I’m bored I did a time line. I guess it really matters what you consider her lead singles, since with her it gets a little a little blurry. I consider a single released with a a video and/or preorder as the actual lead

Video Games was released in October of 2011 and BTD came out in January (3 months)

West Coast came out in April, and she originally wanted UV out in May, but it ended up coming out in June (so still only 2 months)

She released Honeymoon on YouTube in July, and the ‘lead’, High by the Beach, in August. Honeymoon released in September (so only one month if you count HBTB the lead, 2 if you count the YouTube release of Honeymoon)

love was rush released in February after leaking, and according to her it wasn’t supposed to be out until around April (according to Lana in her Beats 1 interview), so while it was the longest wait so far (and still only being 5 months) if it had gone to plan it would have been around 3

NFR is where it gets tricky. There was obviously an unusually long wait this time around, and while MAC/VB were released September of 2018 I don’t count them as the lead singles. When MAC came out she said the album was going to have 11 tracks, and clearly that wasn’t the case. This album really is the outlier in her release schedule, and there had to have been some major BTS drama. (Especially with her “album is done but who knows when it’ll come out” tweet in March of 2019)

COTCC kind of went the Honeymoon route with LMLYLAW dropping in October with no real announcement or anything. Title track dropped with a video and album preorder in January, and the album came out in March. Again, only a three month wait.

BB, same thing. She did the triple drop with no video/additional information (not even an ‘official’ album title) and then we got Arcadia with a preorder in September, album in October.

DYKTTATUOB again follows the same path. First ‘single’ in January with a preorder, album in March. 3 months.

All of this to say, I knew when she put that Instagram post up in November that fans were going to be in for a long ride, because her prereleases never last a long time and she was announcing the album 6 months out without a single. We know she wants a couple of songs out before Stagecoach in April, and if she does stick to the May release February to May is open game for singles to drop. If the album gets delayed a bit (which I’m thinking it will tbh) to June, I can see her waiting until March or even April to start dropping songs.
