Ferreira is frustratingly evasive — perhaps because she is not clear herself — whether any of the songs she recorded for Masochism can be used on a future record (she owns the publishing rights but would probably need to re-record them herself “and that takes the kind of money only labels have”). I believe it is deliberate because that style of vocals is easier for her to perform with, I also think it’s why she has a lot more slower piano based songs because those are not as challenging as singing something like off to the races for example.  She seems more comfortable when she’s sat in a piano taking her time than up and around dancing or trying to belt out a song.

That may be accurate, but as I see it, it's putting the cart before the horse, trading in the immediate for her legecy. In fifty years, I don't think it's songs like Let Me Love You Like A Woman or Love Song that are going to be remembered, covered by artists of future eras, or become a part of the wider culture.
 
But then almost everything goes into the dustbin of history anyway, so maybe she's right to do what is most comfortable for her. 
Full agree—or The Right Man Will Stay, presuming she's completely or  predominatly romantically interested in men. Person is so clumsy, it sounds like an awkward attempt to get around naming a gender. 

I hope the album has some big songs,  some of her best…because it would be a wasted opportunity to have a stadium tour in one of her biggest markets and not capitalise on it, and instead release some very laid back BB piano songs.  

Definitely old money for me also,  in The Grants the lyrics ‘My grandmother's last smile, I'm gonna take that too with me’ made me bawl I won’t lie, I had recently lost my grandmother too so it hit too close.  I have a feeling TRPWS will probably have a few tear-jerkers, hopefully more the happy sad kind.

editing to say my friend found this on Twitter, the person who posted it said “leaked cover”… and it’s a photo that looks super realistic and her ring is on… so I’m not sure if I’m comfortable keeping this up. I definitely don’t wanna spread leaks, I know Lana hates that. Taking this down until we hear it’s fake. Sorry guys!
