A couple of summers ago, I was obsessed with the unreleased “Hands of Time / F’ed up Forever”, but I just now realize the chorus lyrics aren’t “Can’t save what’s gone forever”. And I think Handstand is a very good implication of where MC8 will be headed MCAHDP will always be special to me ofc, but ESV is actually my second favourite now. I was so excited since the outtakes were so good (Taste of My Own, Hands of Time, Mirror, Jaded demo, Golden Sun, Inst It Obvious etc..) but she gave us plain boring ass Flowers, and that should have flopped but it didnt cause soccer moms all around the world were living for it (which is not a good thing...). Im worried for her career from now on since seems shes going the generic route (she has found success there and might try to replicate it). Im not gonna lie, my expectations for her after ESV are so low right now, i hope she proves me wrong. Not even Younger Now felt so unauthentic to her. She seems so disconected from her craft.... no live performances, little promotion and all radio play. For being that young shes already living out of her legacy instead of making new one. I doubt any of us will remember Flowers fondly in some years, but The Climb, Party in the USA, Wrecking Ball, Mothers Daughter, Slide Away and Midnight Sky will forever be bangerzzz. She gave us everything during Plastic Hearts era (the mullet, looks for days, voice, presence, performances, some of her best covers and aesthetic) and we all failed. Now shes traped in a label that will make her deliver unsispired pop for 40-50 year olds like Pink and Gwen Stephani. Im so sorry Miley, the best voice of our generation wasted. Also, im not liking the opzempic on her, shes clearly lost a lot of weight this last year and it doesnt look good on her... she looks much older than what she actually is. clementines 9,982 Posted Wednesday at 11:16 PM I think PH was better than ESV, however ESV would've been better if some songs were replaced with outtakes, I also did not love Flowers (I like the piano demo way more) and a few songs kinda felt like she was trying to do a Slide Away moment but it wasn't as good bc Slide Away is a peak Miley track lol. Violet Chemistry, JADED, and You (wish it had different production tho) are my faves from ESA and they dont rlly touch my PH faves (Midnight Sky, Hate Me, High, Night Crawling) but I also really love rock music so I am def biased 0 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
