Angels Forever, Forever Angels

Recommended Posts

I could swear to God that I heard this song during the soundcheck in Brussels. It was very brief, but I totally recognise the vocal harmonies in the beginning and the drums kicking in. I pretty much consider this one of her finest tracks, to be honest.

While reading Hell's Angels it totally dawned on me that this is exactly what inspired this song...

The book details that there is a mantra that is commonly seen on the vests of riders, DFFL - Dope Forever, Forever Loaded

Clearly, that is the where the chorus and the title of the song derive from.

That totally span me out realising she means angels in the context of Hell's Angels...  :hdu:

Damn, amazing find! That sheds a whole different light on the lyrics

I knew the verses obviously alluded to bikers, it was just me being slow that never associated angels with Hell's Angels. I thought she was singing about her and Barrie being angels.  :creep:

However the point remains I haven't ever seen the Dope Forever, Forever Loaded connection made with this song.

i thought it was confirmed or widely believed that this was about the hell's angels

Oh of course! I was already overanalysing the whole thing lmao. California as a place where people rise to fame, a place of evil, maybe hell. The "hell's angels" with a double entendre, the freedom of the bikers, but also the deceptions and fake people of Hollywood. Idk lol

Imagine this would have been the closer for Paradise. Ride is the  opener & this as sn closer,  would have been such a serve :krylie:

Swan Song. It’s on my album Honeymoon. It’s the antithesis of hopefulness. It’s about trying to find beauty in giving up. If I had my way, I would continue to persist in all areas of my life, but it can be quite challenging because I can be too trusting too soon.":sadcore2:

She peaked with AFFA, UFB and Boom Lile That, every other song flopped cause they couldn't reach the trilogy's perfection #StreamARTPOP #LeakUFBfeatBarrie2021

(but seriously, this is one of my favorite songs by Lana, should've been on Paradise or UV)
