Atom Heart 1,931 Posted August 5, 2014 okay, with the success of marinaboards, nataliaboards, skyboards, grimesdaily, etc., why not? Natalia Boards closed about a month or so ago. Grimes Daily is dead too.
comeintomybedroom 8,662 Posted August 5, 2014 Natalia Boards closed about a month or so ago. Grimes Daily is dead too. I was being sarcastic. I know that all of those forums flopped, so why do people keep insisting that someone make a whole website for someone who's really not big.
comeintomybedroom 8,662 Posted August 5, 2014 There is a skyboards?? Someone posted a link a few months ago in the thread. It's really not necessary, like discuss whatever you want about the artist in their threads.

comeintomybedroom 8,662 Posted August 6, 2014 Marinaboards is still active Yeah, but barely. And it can go like a week without even a status update.
Atom Heart 1,931 Posted August 6, 2014 Yeah, but barely. And it can go like a week without even a status update. Marina hasn't done anything album related since the end of her tour a year ago + releasing a snippet of a new song.

It was a joke, everyone, calm down. But I will admit, there's a lot to talk about regarding Twigs and I'd totally argue that one thread just isn't enough - at least for me. I recognize that she isn't huge so the site would likely die. Otherwise I'd be all about it.

Hundred Dollar Bill 21,809 Posted August 6, 2014 Kicks Closer Video Girl Preface Hours / Pendulum Lights On Numbers Give Up Two Weeks I really love this album. Honestly, I think all of the songs are pretty solid, with my bottom two being 8/10s for me. Kicks & Closer are MASTERPIECES and I don't understand how y'all can be so deaf and have them towards the bottom of your lists. Album of the year? Hmm.. most likely. I feel like it's more consistent than Ultraviolence and whatever else has been released this year that I've heard.

KillKillQueen 1,298 Posted August 7, 2014 Whoever started GrimesDaily is really brave tbh. That chick internets way too good/often for me to be sitting there dissecting her life on an open board. Too much embarrassment potential Twigs doesn't immediately get album of the year from me because that Mastodon record is really, really solid(a comparison I thought I'd never have to make), Grimes will very likely release something, and Ultraviolence was released at just the right time for me to wallow in misery to it, which is giving it more longevity than it deserves tbh (though I highly doubt UV will get my album of the year pick ) Unfortunately for Jhene Aiko though, LP 1 will shit on every experimental R&B songstress album this year.
