crash - nice opener, tho i thought it would've been more dark toned

new shapes - banger, you get it or you don't, but it bangs

good ones - a bridge would've been a perfect topping but still a 10/10 

constant repeat - bops but outro should've been a post chorus. hate the lenghts.

beg for you - it's not bad, but neither good. you just listen and sing to it but it lacks that oomph

move me - idk why you're not talking more abt this, its such a cutie 

baby - mmmm....BABY.

lightning - i claimed this one but...it's not really it after the first chorus. gets annoyingly repetitive quickly and drags on for too long. overproduced is a term i hate cause it's almost always used improperly, but THIS is the definition of overproduced.

every rule - i like it, but it's basically IDWK pt.2. but i love myself a little 80s prom slow dance moment

yuck - this one does nothing for me atm. needs more listens for sure 

used to know me - this is it. it's dark, it's slutty, it's dance and the good ones character comes thru. this is what the lead and sell your soul aesthetic made me think the album would sound like  

twice - cute, but kinda forgettable, especially amongst her closers, kinda flat production wise.

 

 

I expected a lot more tbh. It's good overall, but lacks something. Also most of the non singles are as far from mainstream as possible, many tracks could be tacked on HIFN(twice), CHARLI(every rule, lightning, crash) or Pop2(move me) as Bsides. And at last, it suffers SO BADLY from the lenght and structure of the tracks, like i blinked and it was already at half album, by the time you get into the vibe of the songs, they end abruptly. Makes me want to not listen again cause i'm not the type to play on repeat songs long as a fart lol, that was a choice surely.

 

7/7.5 if i had to rate it? among 9/10s tho hope it grows a little on me

i think the era made me despise the album
like she had 5 years to basically record her third album, yes a lot of work was lost but was that really the best she could bring? also that whole era was just mind bogglingly long... it started in late 2018, ended in late 2019... and then she toured so basically it ended early 2020 right before lockdown.

that era is just a rough spot for me. the koolaid dipped bangs, blame it on your love actually releasing and it being kinda terrible, official aging like milk, 2099 existing.. its just not a good era imo

it's one of those albums where the highs are some of the best songs she's ever made but the lows are absolute duds

and it's not cohesive whatsoever

 

like next level charli, gone, silver cross, official, shake it, february 2017 are all career highlights

and 1999, blame it on your love and warm are a bit forgettable

I was reading the comments on her Twitter and omg I feel so bad for her.. those people rubbing in the fact that it leaked as if its some funny joke. I get that it's not that serious but honestly I wouldn't blame her if she stopped using social media, it's really getting out of hand imo. These people are acting like she is their puppet or something. I can't imagine what she feels reading like 100 comments that go like "we already heard it" "we know now give us the deluxe". Just so disrespectful urgh.

the album itself never really connected with me because to me it just felt like her trying to recreate the Pop 2 formula with AG and idk that album and era just felt to me like she was kind of lost. The songs aren't bad but it just felt like very bland to me as a whole, even though the songs are good. idk? no hate to those who love it though, its just my personal feelings about it

Actually the only reason why Vroom Vroom is good is its title track (or at least Trophy). And thats pretty much about the EP,  majority of the gays literally remember only "Vroom Vroom".

Paradise & Secrets are forgettable (Secret might have that really weird experimental production, but the lyrics lost me).
