I got halfway through the album and then realized i was only on track 4 because that’s how little it got my attention

 

thats probably bc most of her older fans fell in love with her tumblr/witch hop/rap aesthetic. I think she's good in many genres (hyperpop, radio pop etc) but imo to this date pre/TR era is her magnum opus. She really nailed it and thank G*d she has so many fans now bc she is completely talented, she pours her heart with every song and thats undeniable

i’d always been a casual listener of Charli but i never really cared to dive any deeper until she performed that now iconic exchange set w sophie. but it’s quite different from her sound now and i’m scared of not liking it. though i can admit there’s some songs even on sucker that i enjoy - breaking up & famous give me major st. trinians vibes and i love it
