Lust For Life - Pre-Release Thread

Recommended Posts

I loved every bit of the interview and as much as I agree that she seems still melancholic.. I mean she did repeatedly said in the interview she just don't know where she is. The sad and depressed mood and all these abusive relationships is all she's ever known so I think she just doesn't know how to put in words how she's feeling because it's neither depressed or happy

Either way, the interview convinced me not to listen to the leak

First we feel; then we fall.

She's drinking again :( I never knew Barrie fucked her up this much.

i mean maybe she meant occasionally... that's why she cant say she doesnt drink anymore... but she can't say she has that drinking problem again...

it's like you drink at the night club  on a friday night or a dinner or sth likke that.

I've had Lana's manager notify me that he would have the site shut down if I didn't have a heavier hand on the spreading of leaks on the site back when Love was leaked. Do NOT give me sass for this.

"Have you noticed that all songs on the radio are bummers now? That Lil Uzi Vert lyric—“All my friends are dead”—sounds almost like a Lana lyric.

There’s been a major sonic shift culturally. I think I had a lot to do with that. I do. I hear a lot of music that sounds like those early records. It would be weird to say that it didn’t. I remember seven years ago I was trying to get a record deal, and people were like, “Are you kidding? These tunes? There’s zero market for this.” There was just such a long time where people had to fit into that pop box. "

Did someone call for a musical legend?

LFL is her most "human" album. I don't know, it seems very real for me.

It is..she said herself that she feels that she got less persona now that she did in the past..that's why the album is more her

...just you and me feeling the heat even when the sun goes down...

IMF and Heroin terrible? Boo get them ears checked. But I agree GBA and BP, while great, were not quite the mindblows I thought they were gonna be. War too. Maybe I was too hyped on those.

But Heroin and IMF .... L e g e n d

I'm SO happy she said this because it's SO obvious. Everyone hated on BTD, which was promptly copied by everyone and their Disney popstar, and suddenly the critics were fawning. Get out.

That interview was next level. Lovely and heartbreaking. What a soul.

Holy shit "Get Free" is the best lyrics she's written in a long time imo

I didn't pay attention to the lyrics at first but now that I read them... I'm heartbroken  :defeated:

Her best album closer
