This is very true, because it taps into all her past sounds even AKA on Get Free

i first thought she said dreaming of lorazepam in the third chorus of heroin because they'll use that to treat for heroin withdrawals, but then i looked online and saw marzipan and was like..... oh ok, she can afford brand name ativan, she was just hungry.

Hey, I've taken that! And I probably dreamt about it, too, because it knocked me out for 10 hours straight! It wasn't for Heroin, just anxiety lol

I thought she sang "My husband" at first, though. Which I still kind of like.

How come she's able to write super complex and beautiful lyrics like

Finally, I'm crossing the threshold
From the ordinary world
To the reveal of my heart
Undoubtedly, that will for certain
Take the dead out of the sea
And the darkness from the arts

and THEN write stuff like this

You're in the bar, playing guitar
I'm trying not to let the crowd next to me
It's so hard sometimes with the star
When you have to share him with everybody

And it puzzles me, for she has the talent and the brains to write songs like Get Free and Heroin but she will be remembered only for her dim-witted lazy lyrics like Groupie Love and many others. On the other hand I want to remain positive so I'll end this saying that I love the second part of the record and that BPBP is my super favourite.

I know, it's stranger than a stranger.

I get your point but not everything has to be a lyrical masterpiece imo. I for one appreciate that on an album like this we have some heavier songs with deeper lyrics and then other songs that are more simple and just easy to listen to.  :flutter:

I like the lyrics in Groupie Love and I think they're profoundly sweet :runs:

Ok but Change

"Change is a powerful thing, I feel it coming in me

Maybe by the time summer's done, I'll be able to be honest, capable of holding you in my arms without letting you fall

When I don't feel beautiful or stable, maybe it's enough to just be where we are"

It's the second best song and the most underrated song on this album!
