Lyrics are so overrated on here bc good lyrics won't save a song if it sucks sonically

The only time lyrics really ruin a song is when it's something terribly bad and boring like when she decided to repeat god knows I tried 67 times in one song.

But bad lyrics can really fuck up a song when it's good sonically.

I didn't say I prefer GKiT or SS over the other. I don't wanna fight, opinions are opinions and none is inferior to the other but I was just stating that lyrics are in fact overrated since some people seem to enjoy GKIT and we can all agree on how the lyrics are very.. like just the same words over and over again. not even remotely the strongest lyrics on honeymoon. The overall melody and song are nice, it would have been a bit better with some more variety maybe but we will never find out (except if some weird old demo with different lyrics leaks). there's always this big debate about her lyrics and yeah she is having a different approach when it comes to songwriting, her inspiration changed resulting in her writing about different themes previously "unexplored"; and the fact that she's clearly in favour of repetition as a stylistic device since even the most repetitive old tracks can't compete with her basically making 2 albums infamous for lazy choruses among her fan base.
