Throughout the track, Lana says the song itself is for when the child—Chuck’s daughter Phoenix—has “the baby blues.” Lana then lists scenarios that the child would potentially get the blues from—such as the child’s future “stupid boyfriend” Kevin that’s obsessed with crypto, for example (NFR vibes lol).

She then evokes imagery for what the child’s life might look like in the future: pink slippers, her father Jason powerwashing the house, and things potentially going wrong but having the song (and knowing she’s loved) regardless

i hear the song as a song for chuck who's worrying about being unprepared for motherhood and the possibility of postpartum depression (hence the blues). lana sings about how much– and how unconditionally– chuck is loved, which chuck should remember if she ever gets those "baby blues"

i actually interpreted cherry blossom as a lullaby for phoenix and sweet carolina as a lullaby for chuck, and understand "the baby blues" to be fears about and difficulties with motherhood - imo she's reassuring chuck that she's got the support to get thru it

Has anyone made a connection between NOTG and Dealer yet? Because with Dealer (maybe) being structed as if it were a voicemail with the lyric "I call you up twice, hang up the phone, call again, I wanna talk" lyric in NOTG could signify some sort of interlink between the two. Maybe they're about similar people or situations

Ooh, I like this interpretation too! This might make more sense considering the iPhone 11 line. Then again, maybe she was just trying to be campy or something lol. 
 

The main thing that confuses me with this interpretation would be the part about her boyfriend being Kevin despite being with Phoenix’s father for a while? I’m really not sure what I think now!

my thoughts on Black Bathing Suit and why its so chaotic

I think the song is to represent her life/mental state over the past year or so, it hasnt been a smooth ride and just when you think you are comforted by its melodies and slight changes, BOOM the drums kick in and it gets a bit chaotic, just like how after nfr lana seemed to be in a good place and the public loved her, then QFTC happened (the chaotic drums!) and shook everything up, and she was a bad girl once again to the general public. Then the end of the song is just pure chaos and scream vocals, I'm assuming how she felt during the time leading up to chemtrails release with all the trumper articles about her and such

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I think Sweet Carolina crept into my Top 3 of the record alongside WFWF and BB. The instrumental and melody of SC are just so dreamy.

So this confirms the theory that chemtrails was indeed up for a December 10 release followed by a Fallon performance. 

 

Now same with BB and Colbert 

It's good that they're sending her to TV shows for a bit of promo.

Without social media I dont think many fans would know if she is dropping an album...
