I can't help thinking that the "loss for the culture" statement is ego-stroking  in that she regrets his being on the Trump side while being as influential as he is/was for "the culture". Anyway this isn't a political response, it's sort of an interpersonal response to his rant, centering on personality problems and that is a mistake. I mean Kanye is Kanye and that's that.  It's perfectly alright for Kanye to wear a MAGA hat while he performs and his rant was off the show, so no one should really care. However, Lana needs to step up her fact game a bit. It is not Trump's fault that the "pussy-grabber" line got him elected; the American people did that. She needs to remind people of the raping of mother nature more (e.g. walking away from the Paris accords, when bad weather is on the news every night) and countless other issues (e.g. immigration concentration camps for kids). Also the most pertinent question: where the hell are the blue MADA hats (Make America Decent Again)?

 

I agree with you, im Scottish so its nothing to do with me but I feel like nobody ever addresses politicians about things that are actually being done and matter. Especially Trump, people always bring up nonsense things like the wall, him mocking disabled people and just things he says but never things he actually has done that really have affected people.

 

People should bring up things he has done and point out how they are wrong and shouldn't have been done rather than "he said grab them by the pussy" if they are going to come out against him.

 

I also don't like how people come for certain politicians but not others just cause they are "on their side". Hillary Clinton is absolute scum as well, even  worse than Trump but people kind of ignored her.

 

Politics is madness to me though, I don't like any politicans and  will never be voting for any of them. I think the people should vote on everything by ourselves, not appoint people we don't even know who are time and again proven to be power hungry and liars who if we knew personally we would never tolerate, they also do hundreds of things we would never do and only get to do it because we vote for them but are never held accountable.

 

The USA also is the most fucked up, the amount of countries they have ruined especially just in recent decades that they should never have got involved in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria. It's shameful but nothing ever gets done about it. Obama is basically seen as a cheery fun likable guy but he's as bad as anyone else, he's authorised the killings of hundreds of innocent people with drones in countries they shouldn't even be in - he would never do that to his own people. bomb random buildings and hospitals and schools because 1 guy he wants dead is in it.

One thing is correct in that it has NOTHING to do with you as this issue is a USA one, that being the war against women, and as you don't seem by your own words like any politician, and you seem to seethe with hate to America and all so it really is none of your business. 

 

Obvious hatred for women and women's rights as trump& his  Nazi & Neo-Nazi associates are doing everything they can to force women into slavery in the US and to have no recourse.   trump & the boys are arsonists( as are the other ultra rightwing white nationalists that cropped up and are propped up by Putin and the boys (in Russia there are no rights for women, for Jews, for Gays, for anyone except Putin & Putin gets rid of all people against anyone.

 

Thankfully Trudeau in Canada stood up to trump and showed trump for the fool he is. No wonder the entire UN laughed at trump. 

Not to mention today a big exposing of how his father evaded millions in taxes and how much money was passed along to the abject failure that trump is.

I think civilization mostly works. Also, while I cannot guarantee someone going back in time and "fixing it" so Hilary would have won in 2016 *wouldn't* have immediately caused WWIII (like that Twilight Zone episode where Kennedy's assassination was prevented), I do not think her track record for being "scum" is nearly as visible and/or self-evident as Trump's, whose record is uniformly distributed *before* and after his election (imo, but this is not a forum for discussing that).

Trump is also still up there with the worst of them though as well, along with Bush, Obama and all the rest. They are liars and are destroying countries and people without a care and pretending it's all good. To me none of them do anything right to the benefit of the people which is what they are supposed to do. They do things to the benefit of the rich, so they can keep them rich and become rich themselves and thats how it's always been done and always will be done as thats how that things need to be done in the way everything is set up.

 

For things to run as they do there needs to be Billionaries hoarding money, so that creates people at the other end with nothing and those people at the bottom need to be used like slaves so that people in the middle can have phones and laptops etc to keep them happy and working to keep themselves off the bottom.

 

To me it doesn't need to be like that, I think we could all live fairly equally to each other but it will never happen.

Well if civilization is the brawn, then politics is supposed to be the brain. If the quoted part of your post is in fact how you could view evil politics vs. less evil (i.e., less evil politics are those that works against what you're describing), then Clinton and Trump can be assessed in those terms. I won't argue it, but I think people could argue that Hilary was your man in terms of closing the rich/poor gap. As far as weighting her particular transgressions go, that's up to you, but what you described did not terrifically offend me. In fact, it made her seem more like she was the typical political man, at least with regard to lawyering and deposing govt-labeled "tyrants". She could have been a better candidate if she ran with Saunders, but if the country is too scared to elect a woman, a woman and a socialist doesn't seem very likely, imo (although many do hypothesize she would have won with Bernie as VP).
